Do not borrow from Fairstone. They are very deceptive. I have been paying my loan for 14 months. The loan amount was $12,500 and at the end of September 2023, my balance was $11,300. My payment is $476 monthly. This means that over the period I have paid $6,664 towards my loan. This means that only $1,200 went towards my premium and $5,464 has gone towards interest. I am now trying to pay off my loan in the next 10 months.

Company won't stop sending me junk mail regardless of how times I've asked them to stop. Won't ever do business with a company that continues to do what asked them not to. Do they really think I'll ever do business them? Going to the BBB about them. Why won't they stop sending me junk mail? Seems Shady!

*New* Chris is really nice and super helpful (FYI older reviews are about a different Chris. I never dealt with him, but those reviews speak for themselves). This Fairstone is WAY better than the one on Queens (1 star reviews all day, and you can almost never get in there!) This is definitely the superior location, and a superior Chris. Thank goodness for that!

They send unsolicited mail to people then won't tell you who they bought the list from! For the love of dog they didn't even have my first name! Shady, shady SHADY!

Fairstone is a BIG scam bag.
DO NOT EVER get loans of ANY type from this place. And all of you that have taken loans from this place, call these SCAM bags RIGHT AWAY and ask for a COMPLETE statement from day 1 that you started your loan, coz they keep charging you even after the loan is finished, their system doesn't understand that the loan has been finished long ago, so I advise you guys to call these scam bags and get your money back for being overly charged on your loans.
Their staffs are EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

I have called at least 4 times to be removed from their mailing and call list. I still receive mail from them to this day. The mail has slowed down but I used to get mail at least 2 times a week. It’s excessive and annoying.

Received a "guarenteed" loan offer. Met all the criteria of not having any bankcrupcies etc, was also told despite credit it would be approved. Applied and heard nothing back. Recieved ANOTHER loan offer in the mail. Called the Wellington branch and spoke to Chris who was not only mocking me directly about my financial situation and denied me outright. Im extremely appalled at their service.

All employees speak rudely, and when I spoke to the branch manager, he started speaking rudely as well, with a loud voice and threats, as I was cheated by paying extra amount after close full amount loan a week before. I will send an official note to the highest level

The worst loan company you could ever do business with. Do not go here if yo need a loan. That guy called chris is downright rude, unprofessional and lacks proper customer service. This place is comparable to a loan sharking business -very high interest rates, very very sneaky with paper work. Do not sign before looking at the insurance they add in there. It does not help.
They also ran hard inquiries on my credit twice (without my permission) - back to back! Stay away!

If a zero star review possible that will be the one. A horrible customer service and extremely rude attitude. You should changes business hour to 4: 30pm even though they are there until 5: 00pm computers are OFF just hanging out to clock out. Save yourself a trip.
