I feel like the customer service has gone somewhat down hill. I did my paperwork on Tuesday and funds we’re supposed to be in my account by Thursday, don’t get me wrong I know these things take time when dealing with large amounts of money but not even a phone call or text or email. I find that kinda rude. It’s Thursday today @ 4: 32pm and nothing. Again, I understand large sum of money takes time a call or email would be the respectful thing to do.

Worst experience ever
I paid off my loan completely and they still took a payment out of my account. Don't ever go to them. They will steal money from you. I will be going to the business bureau about this on Monday.

They are nothing but thieves!

Fairstone was there to help, Jessica at the Cambridge office was very helpful and responsive. The entire process was done is less than a day! Definitely recommend!

I just called one of their branches to speak to a lady I've been dealing with for months and the other lady on the other end said that she was busy to see if she could help me. I said okay sure. I've been dealing with this company for over 2 years I have never missed a payment and now for me to resign with them I need a co-signer the first Lady I I've been dealing with has never said anything about a cosigner. When a person like myself calls and asks for the person by name they should be allowed to talk to that person and not put to another person.

Great customer service! All staff members were polite, professional, friendly and understanding in my time of need all the way through closing my account out yesterday. Throughout the entire process i felt like an appreciated and valued customer. The smallest niceties like a personalized thank you card for the business each calendar year was very much appreciated. I will definitely use this branch if i require financial assistance in the future. A huge thank you to everyone at the Cambridge branch!

Friendly service, fast results. Although their rates are higher than my bank, Fairstone was willing to help us put our plan of getting out of debt in place. They were willing to help us when our bank wouldn’t. Thanks Fairstone!

Finally paid "unfairstone" off.
Never again.
Don't do it.do I get to charge a ridiculous amount of interest for the money you now owe me? Seeing as I over paid my last bill, I also wonder how long it would have taken for some one to reach out to me? It was only a month ago.
Good riddance.in 2016 I purchased furniture from a store in st.jacobs. I was provided 3 options for payments and I chose 2 years. I made all of my payments on time except for one. Every single payment made well OVER the minimum requested payment.
When it came to the 2 years it was less than $100 balance owing.
WHAT HAPPENS?
I am charged interest on the entire amount owing and already paid.how can you charge interest for money that I have already paid?
I could fully understand charging your stupid interest amount on the balance owing, but not something I've paid off.
Also it was said I agreed to conditions (in 2016) over the phone when trying to sort out the mess with your rep in 2018.
That's a lie. I never spoke on the phone agreeing to these terms to pay x amount of money when I made my "purchase" at the furniture store in 2016. The company was Citi Financial at the time, and the application was filed through an employee at the furniture store at a customer desk. When given my terms of conditions this was not noted to me.
I will never ever get financing of any kind from any institution related to you. I will continue to share my story, but your tactics will be what really gives you the bad name.you owe me $3.61. I'll be expecting a cheque in the mail.
I've already spoke to a rep on the phone and have been reassured I will get it. But considering he with held information and acted like no one owes anyone anything. Then he said he couldn't look up the balance owing the day before I made my last payment, until I asked for a supervisor.
FOR anyone considering using them, DONT.save yourself the stress.

Worst experience i have ever had. They have given us a hard time with just about everything. Paid the whole loan off last week through a lawyer. And they still took a payment out. Real crooks don't go there.

These people are robbers. First they drag you in give you a loan and tell you that's the max they can offer. Once you make your first payment then they bombard you with phone calls telling you more money is available to you. Yes at almost 50% interest. I wanted to pay them off and that is proving to be very difficult. They say it takes 5 days to make a call or send an email to head office because they are the only ones who can give a final balance. I also paid off other people at the same time and they have all received there monies and closed mu accounts.everyone except City Financial or Fairstone as they call themselves now. It is Oct 5th and they are still taking monies out of my account. Is that something like the cheque is in the mail? DO NOT BORROW FROM THIS PLACE.

This would have gotten a higher rating had they not initially offered my wife what she was eligible for. Instead of giving her one thing, then a few days later calling her personally and offering her more. JUST to take away that very same offer from her maybe an hour before her scheduled appointment. Which was a day or so later. Leaving us to scramble now, thinking we had extra funds to count on. Now i have to go and apply myself, leaving work early and now made to take two seperate taxis back and fourth in hopes to be approved. Absolutely ridiculous how they offer one thing, then one hour before your appointment they call and take that same offer away from you.

Excellent newer company that is into the lending business, I believe their name use to be CitiFinancial. WoW. I just went blank. They use to help people out who went bankrupt that where the bankrupted party had to make a small monthly payment each month to keep the terms and conditions of their Bankruptcy proposal going through. Yet, if you missed that one payment on the 1st of the month then your bankruptcy contract would turn nullb& void. And then you would have no defaulted on your bankruptcy proposal and agreement, thereby you would now have to make your original payments that you were making before you were approved for a bankruptcy / small loan payout structural agreement and contract.
