Famoso is the best! The best pizza! The best jazz music on Wednesdays! The loveliest owner and staff! Feels like home with the best pizza! (And the mozzarella prosciutto balls are to die for) So grateful to spend so many memorable nights here!

Really sad to see this place close down. The food was fantastic and I'm really going to miss them

Speaking as an employee and a restaurant regular, this was one of my favourite spots in Toronto. Famoso was the first restaurant I came to when I moved here. My dad and I sat on the patio, eating pizza and laughing for hours. There was always a sense of home that we kept coming back here for. I have made lifelong friends in the servers, pizzaiolos and even the management. Chris was the superstar of my famoso experience and I’ve never met anyone so generous and selfless. He is genuinely one of the best people I’ve ever met. I guess the owner, Dean…. Yeah, he’s alright too. Knowing I can never revisit Famoso Annex fills me with such disappointment and a pain I know will linger as I move on to other things. There will always be the memories we created here and i’ll cherish them for a lifetime. Even though our doors are closing, I know this isn’t the end for the connections and family we’ve built here. Thank you all and goodbye.

This place is the BEST! The staff is exceptional and the food is just as great! Special shoutout to Chris, Kate and Dean for the amazing management. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for just over 2 years and I always have the best time. So awesome!

Best pizza in Toronto! The staff, the food, the drinks everything is impecable. They always make us feel like we are part of the family!

Unhappy hour!
The food is ok but the staff and management should learn some manners and treat their patrons a bit better. Will not come back to this place for that reason.

Hosted a student event at Famoso to watch a Raptor's game earlier this week. We all had a wonderful time.
The hosts were hospitable and the service was quick, easy, and personable. The pizzas and apps were delicious and they had a nice wide selection of beers. And a cozy festive atmosphere to top it off!
I recommend to all! And I would most definitely like to come back here again.

Friday night, waiting for my date. After a while waiting, Jaren starts feeling sorry for me. Got a taste on the house and what a tasty flavory pasta fish. If you are planning on spending good time with your loved ones or getting a nice time on the weekend, this is the place.

Even thou they have a lot of options, spaghetti and meatballs is very unique. Haven't had a better Tsasiki in the city. I'm having some white based pizza with me. Amazing food, better service.

Ask for Jaren and thank me later.

Inexpensive unpretentious comfortable place for a quick meal in downtown Toronto. Salads are fresh and crisp, pizza is delicious and the beer is always cold. Oh, and you probably want to try the tiramisu. But have friends standing by: it's huge. And delicious.

Came here with a friend for dinner after class. Our waitress was lovely! I appreciated that it wasn’t too loud, unlike some other evening restaurants.

The prices were as expected, considering it’s not just some take-out pizza place. The tomato bisque soup is definitely worth it! The 7” pizza combo was quite convenient as well, since I couldn’t choose what to get at first!

If I could give the service a 6/5, I would. Jared and the server who's name I did not get were absolutely amazing. Friendly, courteous, and just a touch over the top. Hospitality at its finest. The food and drink were great but more importantly I would go back because of them.

Made a last minute reservation for 6 on a Sat night.

Appetizers were delicious. We had the Mediterranean Humus Platter and Prosciutto covered Mozza balls.
Pizzas were brick oven baked and perfect.
We were approached twice by the manager and constantly by the staff to check on us and remove plates.
Washrooms were CLEAN!

My friend and I frequent this place regularly! Convenient location for us, and we always know what to expect. Exceptional service from the entire team, and especially from the manager who knows us as regulars and always takes the time to personally greet us. We can count on Famoso for a cozy atmosphere with delicious food to fill us up and at a great price!

Moderately loud retro urban Italian pizza kitchen. Possibly some the best pizza construction in the city. Excellent laid back atmosphere and service but not deliberately loud to portray the stereotypical loud Italian eatery that Hollywood seems to belive is tantamount to the Italian culinary experience. Don't overthink it; great place for mid week pizza, catch the leafs for a period on the TV, then head home. It's the reason you need a pizza hit, now and then with only minimum amount of restaurant fluff to slow you down. I only suggest that maybe a few new versions of pizza be added to menu. Take it from a Windsor born Italian (most pizza joints in North America), Famoso is good for the soul.

We have been going to Famoso on Bloor for the past year and have receieved amazing service and delicious food. A couple of weeks ago there was a mix up with my order and we were on a time crunch. Our order was not ready on time. I called the manager (Dean) to advise that the delay in having our order ready resulted in us missing out on dinner that night given the tight time line we were on. Dean was amazing! He was very quick to acknowledge the mix up and gave me his personal guarantee that next time things will go better. And they did! Not only was our next order ready on time, Dean took extra care of us to compensate for the mix up the previous week. He and his staff went above and beyond. We look forward to dining here again!
