Far East Chinese Restaurant

I call around noon put my order for 6: 30, first of all I couldn't get any egg rolls because they ran out, how could you run out that early of the day, next my order wasn't ready until 7: 00 pm, maybe you have to order your day ahead, It used to be great place, not anymore, it stinks now, lemon chicken was so greasy it was awful. It's time to look for better place.

Literally the best Chinese food in all of Niagara. Our favorites are the chicken fried rice, beef and veg, and the spareribs. So freaking good!

Dining room hasn’t reopened since COVID so its takeout onlywe now go to Happy Jacks where we can dine in and enjoy our dinner and I gotta say the food is just as good if not better

Really good Chinese food.had a few different dishes, and they were all good. This restaurant is take out only. Staff were friendly. Lots of parking available on site I will order from them again.

Do not go, Their meat is questionable (woof woof) the service was terrible the staff was so rude, ignored us the entire time

My wife and I have been eating here for years. But on this last order we are highly dissatisfied. The sweet and sour ribs were hardly anything but breading, bone and gristle. I called and complained. The brusk woman said "A lot of people like them. " Didn't say that they were sorry. Didn't offer to substitute or refund.
After over 20 years of loving this place, I will never be back.

My family has been eating from here for years. The food never disappoints, it is always fresh and very tasty. The owners are very friendly, always smiling. The House chicken is amazing!

Been coming to the far east for many many years, 20+ easily I’ve dined in and had takeout many many times, great food, service is always good and fast. It’s been our Chinese food go to for quite some time and will probably remain so, check them out, you won’t be disappointed.

Order out got home food was all cold we had to put everything in the microwave after that it wasn't the best not a happy customer time to find a different place this is our second time having this issue

Hope they get back to eat in dining. Have hit the wall with the take out only. Coming up to 2 plus years closed for eat in. There are other options in the city worth checking out.

Too bad…this restaurant was recommended to us, however they were closed to dine-in…what a waste.

My last experience with this place was terrible. They were overwhelmed with calls during COVID, They were so incredibly rude to everyone, I never heard so many people waiting for their food complain about a person so much and they over charged us. When I called to get it corrected the girl said she didn't have time and hung up. I had to call and ask for the manager. The food is just ok but the dining area is large and clean and several waitresses are very friendly but I determined to never go there again as there are just too many options for Chinese in Niagara to deal with attitude for medicore food. Gotta say though my husband did love their lemon chicken.

This has always been our go to place for Chinese for the past 25 years (or longer). Food is always hot and fresh!

New years eve, having friends over, we decided to get Chinese, we picked Far East because the food is good, well I don't know what happened tonight but they won't get my business again, I called at 6pm to place an order, they said it won't be ready till 9pm, I Said that's a long time to wait but ok, I'll wait, 845pm I show up to at least 20 to 30 people waiting outside, we waited till 10pm when we finally got our food, we go home and open up the bag and everything is not our order, I called a complained and asked for my money back, I go back and bring back the food they gave me an they were outright rude, they accused me of not bringing back all the food, I brought everything back they gave me, I did receive my money back but I will never go back, I understand it's new years eve but what when on was not right

Messed up on our order. Brought it home when we realized. Had to go back.they made sure we returned everything before Getting our order as if they are going to give the order to waitung customers. Terrible if they did as we had the food out on our table when we realized it was wrong.
No apologies for waisting our time.
Food was average at best.

I love getting food from here it's always very good quality food but my only complaint is that it takes a bit long to receive my food.

Good Food, Poor Service
When we ordered at 4: 30p.m. For an order that you said wouldn’t be ready till 8: 30p.m. We were ok with that as we knew it was going to be a busy night. We arrive at the restaurant and then told that it’s going to be another hour on top of the 4 hour wait that you initially told us? ! Sorry, but that’s just B. S. Lots of other Chinese Food restaurants in the city. You’ve been permanently replaced.

Definitely not the "cats meow", possibly just an extra ingredient away from being pure trash. Ignorant staff, hope they close.

We have been going to Far East for years now. We now drive from Thorald to get it. The quality of the food and portions has never changed. Decent prices. Still loving it everytime.

Terrible customer service experience. I called in an order at 5: 15 and they told me it would be ready at 6: 30 which seemed a bit excessive but I could understand they were busy.

I arrived a little after 6: 30 and they told me it would be another 5 to 10 minutes and that they would come get me when it was ready. I sat outside for another 20 minutes and then went in to ask about the ETA again. The lady I asked acted annoyed, turned her back on me without giving me an answer and went to cash someone else out. Two other ladies at the desk also would not give me an answer so I told them to cancel my order and left.

When I walked out one of the ladies chased me down in the parking lot and told me my order was ready at which point i told them to keep the food and left.

I have been coming here since the 70's. Must be a family business. I live in the states but come over every weekend until covid hit. After the border closed I swear I was going through withdrawals. I love this place. The meal has always been tasty and hot. Over time I got to know the waitresses, Jen Joanne and Cecilia. I've missed them all. After a year and a half I got back there last weekend. Yummy! See you this weekend.

Great Chinese food. The family is always so welcoming and nice. Servers are always polite. The portions are huge which is nice because leftovers are great the next day. Chicken balls are my favourite more chicken than dough. Our go to place for Chinese food 100%

Everything was great EXCEPT the sweet and sour ribs they looked and tasted terrible it looked like deep fried bones just melded together with hardly any meat on it. Real disappointment when everything else was great.

Ordered take out, brought home $90 worth of Chinese, they forgot a dish and one dish was not the freshest like eating sand bad, No big problem.

Asked if they could drop off the forgotten dish, they said no. Drove back to pick up the food we didn't receive, and the dish that was very overcooked to be replaced, no apology, whatever. No biggie.

Asked if I could get a discount or a coupon for the trouble, manager responded "No. The food wasn't bad, we (*presumably the restaurant staff) ate it and it's perfectly fine"
I responded "Well that's kinda gross. "

*Won't be back, nothing personal, even though I know they are the red enemy. I can still appreciate good service and food without bias, just not here, cause it doesn't exist.

Best Chinese food in the Niagara region only place I’ll go when it comes to eating great food as they serve and prepare glad they’re located in Niagara Falls.

While my waitress was nice and the food was good (for the most part) she did not really explain what the spare ribs were like. I come from the U. S and to us spare ribs are not deep fried bones with barely any meat. I was very disappointed to have to pay for them (although i did not eat them) and also pay for the replacement of them for my meal. The manager that I spoke to regarding this was very rude. Will never go back there again.

I LOVEDDDDD THE FOOD, FRESH AND TASTY. HOWEVER, CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS, SPECIFICALLY THE CASHIER. TALL ASIAN MALE, HE WAS SO RUDE. THAT'S WHY I WONT BE BACK EVER AGAIN WHEN ever I'm in Canada again.

Nice mom and pop restaurant with daily specials. Food is amazing, the dinner for 2 special really feeds 4, theres tons of food. The chicken chow mein is the best I've ever had and the won ton soup is delicious. Reasonable pricing and lots of parking.

Great service, quick and really yummy. Our fav out of all Chinese food restaurants in Niagara Falls.
Portions are big so although it costs almost $60 for our family of 4 (including 3 males), the leftovers last for days. Totally worth it.

Ordered for delivery.was told cash only.delivery driver didn't have change and made off with a huge tip because of it.
Had I seen the food before paying, I would have sent it back instead.every dish was sitting in so much liquid it appeared I ordered 3 dishes of soup!

Completely disappointed by ordering from here. Will never order again! The dry garlic ribs taste like rat's butt. The chicken in Sate sause has barely any chicken.

The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. The portions are generous. The prices are fair. Food tastes excellent. On top of all that the staff every friendly.
