I have had great chicken and seafood dinners so I decided to try the catering menu and ordered Seafood dinner for 6-10 for Christmas Eve. I was somewhat surprised to find a soupy concoction of rice and mixed fish which did not look like the picture or match the $150 price tag. Fortunately my home made seafood shell pasta saved the evening. Next time I will stick with the chicken or fish single servings.

I used to come by this place all the time when I lived in the city with my family. I was excited when I drove by it when visiting and decided to stop to grab some food BUT all I can say is it’s absolutely disgusting. The food is so bitter and has no taste. The only thing that tasted decent was the chicken. The sauce is basically oil and leaves a nasty after taste. Potatoes were under cooked. Rice was clumped together. I was served by some younger punk kid who was rude and rushed my order. He had zero customer service and was not friendly at all. I shouldn’t be given attitude while taking my time trying to look at the hot table because of all their selections. I will never come here again. Where is the husband and wife who used to run this place? Now it’s just a zoo with “gangsters” running the show. I am so ashamed.

What a surprise. I honestly thought this place was really good. The chicken was tasteless, No flavor at at. The rice and potatoes had no seasoning, no salt nothing. What happened to this place?

I have been going to Farol for over 10 years and I think my recent purchase of food was probably my last.

The chicken is still flavorful but the butterflied cut chicken is so thin and there's barely any meat at all anymore. The potatoes are still good. Our recent guests used to love Farol and they mentioned the same thing about the chicken.

I felt I kept going there for the name and the flavor but the quality and value is definitely no longer there. Even the sauce used to be a flavourful tasty sauce but now it's 80-90% oil with 10-20% spices.

For more than 3 years, this is my go to “bring food” to my daughter studying at Windsor Ontario. The bbq chicken tastes good and it goes well with their special hot sauce. We tried the fish, squid and meat stew similar to Filipino balbacua. All great taste! Just a heads up, only take away.

Gina was my server she was so welcoming, kind, patient, and helpful. Me and my family usually come here the food is always quality and the people are quality too Gina made out experience even better today

Delicious food. Excellent service! Great for hosting parties or events. Price was excellent. Staff was excellent to work with. Takeout was well packed. Will definitely be back!

The food from this place is always fresh and tasty, however cod trays no longer come with as much fish as they used to

Best place for Portuguese Chicken! I no longer live in the area and I still make the drive from Guelph.

Great welcoming restaurant with amazing food! Our regular is the family sized chicken pack, mild for the kids and extra spicy for the adults!

One of the best Portuguese chicken in Mississauga! Potatoes and fresh cooked veggies were great.

I really like this restaurant for a large selection of dishes, cleanliness and friendly staff. I love buying food here.

Oh. My. God. This place has the BEST food in the city. I can especially recommend the Sardines, Octopus, and Chicken.
10/10, definitely going back.

Great service and amazing food! Chicken was delicious and the potatos were tender. The hot sauce is a must. I bought this food for a bunch of friends who never tried Portuguese food before, and they were all very impressed. I would definitely order again from here and recommend them.
