Very dirty place, not organized, They brought one order on the table and toss it to the person! 7 minutes after that second order came and it was horrible taste and appearance! I never ever go back to that restaurant again!

What a disappointment! I really wanted to like this place and was excited to eat here.
What I got instead was mediocre taste.
I ordered chili chicken.

I called ahead to place a pickup order and was given a 20-25min ETA. Got there after 30 mins and was told the food would need another couple minutes. A "couple minutes" ended up being another 25 mins, so it ended up taking them almost an hour for the 2 appetizers I ordered, and they weren't even that busy.

We used to visit very frequently. When we went last week chilly chicken was very odd taste as if they have refried the left over chicken and put in gravy. We all 3 got stomach upset the very next day. The quality has gone down a lot. No more visits to this restaurant.

It looked like it would be very yummy, but it just had no taste. Had to add both soy sauce and salt for just a bit of flavour.

Had a bad experience with one of the representatives taking my order twice by fault when I specifically mentioned the order that I wanted which was Manchurian Vegetable fried rice (Red) over the phone and in person and yet they gave me the wrong orders which was Manchurian Hakka Choemein noodles and for the second order they gave me a credit for that faulty mistake so I used the credit towards a new order which they also mistaken again. Very bad customer service and comprehensive skills.

Food was good, but BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ORDER! They tricked us into paying the “regular” (Dinner?) menu prices when we were there at NOON for a retirement LUNCH and ordered lunch menu items. We have been going here regularly for years, but not anymore. The 2 waitresses and manager were very rude to us. This ruined a very special event.

This used to be my go to Hakka place for years, not sure what happened but it seems like they got a new chef or started a recipe after COVID, their food has tasted completely different (not for the better). Their food portions are great for the price, better options out there now but still worth trying out.

I've been going to this location for many years. Hands down the best Chili Chicken in the GTA, goes well with any rice dish. Hard to give this place less than 5 stars considering the value for their lunch specials. Super fast for pick up. Indoor Dining is closed at the moment due to Covid so take out only. Highly recommend!

This is decent place, food tastes really good. Only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because more than once they forgot to put chicken in the chicken corn soup. Even though they gave me credit, but still a hassle to go back again and remind them to put the chicken. Overall food is delicious!

They increased the price almost 40% in two years, it’s ok, but cunningly reduced the quantity and quality and also careless preparation. Totally I would suggest don’t waste your money.particularly during the weekend very very careless preparation.

Our family has been getting food from this restaurant for years. Their lunch specials are always on point. We love their chilli chicken and general tao chicken and often order trays for our parties. Service has always been fast. We normally call in and order take out.

I ordered a small chicken corn soup along with two Hakka Chicken Chow Mein's and there was not one piece of chicken in the soup. I'm typically more forgiving with minor take-out mistakes but this was the THIRD time it's occurred at this location. The Hakka Chow Mein is usually a go-to but it's lacked a depth of flavour the past two orders. I'm very disappointed, as I've been eating at Federick's since my early childhood. I will be taking my business exclusively to the Scarborough location from now on.

The best Hakka restaurant in town! My family and I always enjoy their food. Food tastes amazing. The staff is also nice. Most of the hakka places I’ve gone to, I’ve had bad experience with tge staff as they are rude, however, the staff here is polite. Their chilli chicken, Manchurian Fried rice and Hot & Sour soup is our go to! Definitely recommend!

Worst place to ever try to call, I always get the busy tone. Food is amazing but I'd rather hear a voice-mail saying leave a message than get a busy tone. I spend at least 30 mins sometimes trying to get a hold of them, your customers made you what you are today at least have some respect. I have now moved my business to tangerine.

Such fantastic food! My favourite order from there is chilli chicken, Hakka chow mein, and broccoli with black mushrooms. I haven't found a better Hakka restaurant in Markham!

This is the first hakka place I've ever tried years ago and I just wanted to mention this is the standard for chili chicken and manchurian fried rice/noodles. Pakoras are also fantastic!

I ordered chicken pakora today from Scarborough location and found the food is cold. Called the restaurant couple of times but no one answered. I bought lot of times food from this location and now will not go anymore.

If the girl working there Tania is on a break, no one will answer the phone. Tried calling for over 30 minutes. Literally the phone rang 30 times but no one answered. We walked in and well, she was on a break and Mike doesn't care about calls coming in. Even when we have walked in to the restaurant earlier if she is not there he would not bother to come out and attend to the customers even after ringing the bell. She literally has to get up in the middle of eating and work. The owner really should look onto this.

Been here before but not the same when i was growing up during highschool times.

But the dry chilli chicken is d bombs! Still a place worth to try it.

Best Indian style Hakka food in Markham, very fresh food and always taste so good, very friendly staff and quick service, highly recommended.

The worse customer service ever. Was told it would take 45 minutes for my order. Waited over 1 1/2 hours. People that ordered after me received their order before me. The guy taking orders said they didn't care who ordered first and the cooks will prepare in whichever order they want and started yelling at me. On top of that they missed an item on my order. Food is good but they must change their attitudes towards customers.

The gravy was very watery and thin.
Chicken was not crispy and no flavor probally the worst hakka food I ever had will never back again.
Food was picked up fresh and eaten in the parking lot so there's no excuse for this quality.

Haven't been here in years. Came for the lunch takeout special. Chili chicken with fried rice and a can of pop for 9.90 after tax.

I found it salty but packed with flavour. Chicken was tender and the rice was delicious. I wished the chicken had more gravy or maybe I ordered it wrong.

Ordered their Chili Chicken and it was quite delicious. However, it was quite less spicy than I'd anticipated. Their Beef with Cashew Nuts were perfect! And I also enjoyed the Mixed Fried rice. The rice could've used some extra salt but its not a deal breaker. I wanted to give this place a 4 Star but I didn't because I was calling them at least 6 times within the hour to place my order for takeout but nobody picked up the phone.

I ordered the chilli chicken (DRY) with the Hakka mixed chow mein noodles (it had shrimp and chicken mixed in it) and it was sooooo goood! It wasn’t very spicy though if that’s what you’re looking for.

The only thing negative I would say is that it was over priced $24 for that order and the portion size could have been bigger. Also the communication with the guys running the place was very difficult, and aggressive. I had to repeat myself several times.

Other than that 10/10! Solid Chinese food, this might be my new favourite Hakka place in Markham. It gives Super Hakka a run for its money in Scarborough I find that chilly chicken really spicy!

I come to this special restaurant once a month as I like the ambiance that is unique to this place. The team is very friendly and experienced. The service is exceptionally efficient. Also, the food you eat is highly distinguished. I have been there often and I was always pleased. The price is honest. I suggest this place to my friends and family.

I have tried so many different Hakka places in Markham. Federicks has the best Chili chicken without a doubt. Their other dishes are amazing too. They gey busy so sometimes it's hard to make an order on the phone. But it's worth the wait. So good.

I'll give them a break, it was crazy busy on new years Eve. Tried calling for pick up for more then a half hour. Got through placed the order and was told 45 minutes to an hour. I get there at the 40 minute mark, not ready. Fine. Gotta wait. An hour later I be my food. Food is always outstanding, but the wait was nuts. Foods a 5 service was a 2

If I could give a zero I would.make sure you check that your chicken is cooked properly. Went here to celebrate my husbands bday we ordered a good amount of food but 2 in particular really stood out. The chicken wings and crispy chicken. I glanced over as my husband bit into the wing and there it was BLOOD on the damn wing disgusting I almost barfed and then began checking all the other chicken meals we ordered and sure enough the crispy chicken was pink when we cut in to it. I told the servers and they were apologetic but that doesn’t fix the fact that someone could of gotten salmonella poisoning. I mean come on the last thing you guys would want is to be shut down bc you can’t properly cook you Damn food. Safe to say I will never go there again!

The wait time wasn't very long, but the food was not good at all, everything was over cooked and very mushy, the chicken was not cooked enough, and so it tasted bad and had bad texture. Service was fine. The best thing was the water.

I would eat Fedricks food every weekend (I know it’s unhealthy) and I would rate this place a 5 star before today. You might be wondering why I put 2 stars today and what happened? So I was enjoying my left over red fried rice from Fedricks, when I find an EGGSHELL in the rice. I know for a fact it’s an eggshell becuase of the crunchy texture (I didn’t eat it) and colour. It was very unsettling to me today. But otherwise this place deserves a 4-5 star review

The food is good but the service is not the best. Weekends have a line up and food takes a while, worth the wait though.

Went here a few weeks ago with one of my good friends. She ordered quite a few items because she needed it over the next few days when her family was away. We got snarky comments about the amount ordered, poor service and the staff was VERY fussy about giving take-out containers. Like I mentioned, we ordered about 5-6 dishes so we needed 4 containers. We asked for it, they gave is 2, I asked for another 2 and he only gave me 1. I asked for another one and he gave us a whole talk about how expensive it was and asked us to pay $0.25 cents extra. All that fuss over a quarter. Honestly, I would've paid even a dollar extra if that was the policy and we were asked in a polite way. All in all #goodfood, #horribleservice.

Great Hakka Chinese, always quick service and great food, love there chicken Hakka noddles, general beef taou, chill beef dry. Soups are good. Portions are big and prices are excellent

Celebrated a birthday here. The food here is always great. The staff here was very friendly. We had a party of 8 and they accommodated us for a Saturday lunch very easily. We did make sure to make a reservation first. We were able to bring in a cake and they helped us serve it. They were very happy to help with plates and forks. Thank you Federick's for a great time.

Food is not as good as it used to be. Service is HORRIBLE. There are other Hakka restaurants around. Would highly not recommend

OMG I love this restaurant I've been coming here for years! The servers are very attentive and the food is AMAZING, unfortuantly I dont live in Scarborough anymore but when I am in TOWN I definitly stop and but some chilli chicken.

Food is getting worse. Not like before. Bland and no taste. Chili chicken with white meat is good though.

My family dumped Frederick's in Markham area for their bad staff ' who would laugh and say "upto you " or ask back "You don't know what you want to eat"? THEIR food is good but the wait staff need to train themselves to be in food business.
Till then we found a better alternate at China Cottage.near by.

Love this place.staff are efficient, although not very friendly.excellent Hakka food at reasonable prices.you can adjust heat levels of the dishes by request.i highly recommend their chili chicken, chicken pakora, green beans (they're the best I've ever had at a restaurant), hakka chow mein.only complaint is that food comes out once prepared (not all at once) so sometimes you get what's really an appetizer (pakoras) after some of the main dishes have arrive.
This is one of my to-go-to places for good Hakka.

Yea the food was decent and the service was ok. They took forever to serve the side dish which was really irritating. The main course was cold by then and I hate cold food.
Rates are reasonable though and their portions are average. Parking isint an issue as it is situated in a mall.
Just FYI - it's Indian style Hakka Chinese.

Serves Halal meat. Food taste good. Will not highly recommend as they serve alchohol. In my view Halal and alchohol doesn't go together.

The quality of the food and quantity were great! However, the service is quite slow considering it wasn't busy. We kept getting our dish closely after we finished out current meal. But overall, great experience Would recommend.
