Would give zero or minus stars, if possible. If I purchase clothing from a US retailer, I always ask them to ship USPS, and not to ship FedEx. Shipments via USPS are handed to Canada Post upon arrival in Canada. Canada Post charges 13% HST on clothing + $10 fee, very reasonable. UPS charges a higher rate, but FedEx charges at least double what Canada Post charges. We see so many complaints about overcharges, but Fedex has been getting away with it for years, and continue to do so. Unfortunately, I ordered a few items from a US retailer who would not ship USPS or UPS to Canada. On a $130 US purchase (ie. $173 Cdn), Fedex charged $73 "duty". Canada Post would have charged $22.50 + $10 fee). In future, will not purchase from any non-Canadian retailer/supplier that ships FedEx.

The packages was damaged and it's not the first time. I was charged by Fedex YBZ and charged a second time for the same package. It was to make up customs and taxes. I called FedEx twice and they said I would be issued a refund. UPDATE: one charge was finally refunded so, from one to three stars.

By far the worst packaging delivery company. I once ordered something online and whoever dropped it off just left it in front of my apartment building. Thank goodness a trusty neighbour picked it up, imagine some stranger randomly picking it up and stealing what I bought. Now I ordered online and they said the shipper that I purchased my order from, had my purchase on hold only for that location. I call the shipper to verify this information and said "we would never do that".
Can this company find people that are accountable and honest instead of finding short cuts to their job?

Terrible company they failed to ship my item and instead of attempting to deliver it again they made me pick it up i highly doubt they even did an actual attempt to deliver my package in the first place because this has happened to a lot of people in the past

Worst service ever in delivery.but 5 star service in giving you stress.the driver never came to delivery and updated that nobody was at home.after calling them next day they said the driver is coming in 1 hr.i waited for 1 hr outside nobody showed up.and now they are just changing delivery dates everyday.their customer care sucks

Horrible service all around. Charges people customs and duty fees without any receipt and lies about delays and attempts to drop off package. FedEx is a courier of the past, a third party company. Don’t trust them with anything. Use Canada Post.

First day I missed the delivery I was at work, today no body came Fedex says they did. I was home all day. I am not driving to the East end to get a package I paid express shipping for. Leave it in my mailbox or give me an option to get the package from penguin pickup!? !? ! UGH so annoying to deal with.

The experience at the pick up center as such was smooth. But they should have delivered at my place the first time instead I had to travel half n hour from my place to go pick up a package for which home delivery was paid for. They Didn’t even bother calling me and updated the status to failed to pick up or answer. Sounds lazy on the delivery guy’s part else they are plainly lying.

Had a wonderful experience picking up a package today for my husband. The lady working at the shipping centre front desk went above and beyond to assist me with a logistics problem. All staff working at the front desk were very friendly and helpful!

I would give zero stars if I could. Maybe okay with shipping out because you’re bringing business but terrible with delivery. Attempted delivery once and never even bothered to call and then acted like there’s a delay but it’s actually been sitting in their “local facility” for a week! I’ve been wanting to talk to a representative on either virtual chat or over phone but all I get is a robot. All I keep getting is no estimated time for delivery even after I changed the located for pick up from my address to a pick-up facility. It was not my choice that the delivery was sent with fedex. If I’m given an choice I will NEVER use this company.

Of all couriers, FedEx has been the best for my small business. Even when I ship through a third party insurance company, FedEx is the courier and delivery is always smooth. This location in particular has very friendly and helpful staff, at least to me anyway.

Initially I was mad because I had to go down to Commissioners Street, which is nowhere near me. But.you can easily get there on the Pape 72 bus. The place is clean and the staff member was very friendly. It was actually quite a pleasant experience.

It isn't reliable enough. They promised to deliver. Then delay by a day. Then delay until the end of the day. Then delay to the next day again. Not sure what happen after there yet. What a disappointing service! -4 Stars

Such awful and unreliable service. The drivers don’t even attempt to deliver. I have a sign on my door saying I’m at home and to please knock but they don’t. Have been waiting for a package that arrived nearly a week ago. After my package being delayed 4 times (while being in the same city as me) “Maria” called to tell me they would deliver it today. Another day wasted at home and I just received another notification my package will once again be delayed until tomorrow.

This is the worst delivery company on the face of the planet. Doesn't even attempt to deliver my package to my apartment and instead of being able to redirect it to a pickup location to me, I have to commute 40+ minutes ONE WAY to pick up a package. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and order / deliver / ship with literally any other company.

If I could give a zero, I would. Literally EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.that I order from a company that uses FedEx, I have to call them for one issue or another. The latest? I ordered from a company in the US. Package required duty fees to be paid. Paid them at 8: 40 a.m. The same day I get the automated message. Package is to be delivered the next day. Next day comes, package is being held due to non-payment of duties. Huh? Got my confirmation to prove otherwise. Called in (which is a nightmare in itself) and was told that yes my duties were paid, but someone must have left the pink slip on the package. Would be coming next day. Next day comes, no package. Call again "oh they are busy with packages ". I tell them not my issue, want my package today. They somehow get "unbusy" and my package gets put on a truck. Later on, delivery driver buzzes me downstairs and asks for my apartment no.as it wasn't on the package. Told him the number, he repeats it back to me, I buzz him in. Never shows up to my door and now the package shows and delivered. This driver, despite hearing my apartment no.and repeating it back to me, left it with someone else. I am now dealing with the company I purchased from to let them know what the quality is like of the company they use. WORST COMPANY EVER

Patrick and Eric have been such help today! We needed to ship 2 pairs of skis to Calgary and had some complications with the credit card. They were super patient and helpful even though it was way beyond their closing time. Got everything done and both were so nice throughout the entire time. Exemplar customer service and have definitely changed my perspective on Fedex in a positive way! Thanks again!

Very louzy service. Staff is inefficient and under staffed. Always have excuse for delays. No attitude to serve you better. Whenever my shipment lands at this location, it is always delayed. And big line ups every time.
Fedex needs to revamp this location with more responsible and better staffing to keep up with its reputation as reliable/fast courier co.

Long line with only two people working. However they stayed calm, courteous, and didn't rush themselves, despite a few hiccups that I noticed. I have full confidence in service that keeps composure.

Very disorganized but at least they have good business hours.
I had to go there twice to attempt to collect a package that had been rescheduled for delivery 3 times and by then showed no set delivery date. I needed it urgently so I called in the morning and asked to have it released to me - I was told to give them a couple of hours and pop by. I waited until nighttime since I needed a ride but got there and found out they didn’t release it at all. Another customer could be overheard having similar issues but he was already on his second attempt and went home empty handed.
I explained the situation as they told me they can only release items in case of emergencies and was told to come back next day. After receiving a series of text messages within one hour that first said the package is ready for pick up and then said that it no longer was available as they rescheduled the delivery for the following week, I went there again and was told that I would need to wait for the delivery.
I had literally just spoken on the phone to a rep before walking in and he had reassured me that the package was still available for pick up so I asked them to check again and the csr walked away for quite a while, coming back empty handed. Interestingly enough, once I told the csr that I needed the item to ensure my bathroom setup was safe for an elderly relative arriving the next morning and asked if I should come back after the situation turned into a legitimate medical emergency, they turned around to “have a third look” and were back less than 10 seconds later - lo and behold, somehow the package was sitting right there, just behind the counter! They claimed that it was just their scanners going crazy (?)
I am just thankful I managed to get it in time and that at least the package was not lost or damaged but FedEx can certainly do way better with releasing packages to clients when they have no set delivery date and are just sitting in a warehouse, specially this time of the year

The worst shipping company in existence! My package (from etobicoke to Toronto) went to Mississauga to the truck for delivery to sorting facility back to misissauga then to sorting facily then operational delay and now there is no updates for more than 10days! How this company is still in business! I decided to never buy from a store or do business with a company who uses Fedex.

I was expecting an urgent package overnight for which I paid a good amount but there was a delay at the 'sorting' facility from the Fedex side. As a result, I haven't received my package yet and I'm really disappointed with this. I called the customer service representative who just acknowledged my situation without providing much help inspite of explaining the urgency of the situation. Why do you charge exorbitant prices for 'overnight delivery' when they are not delivered overnight? Highly disappointed with the service

Disappointed with FedEx. No attemp to deliver, no note (We were at the address!). Just a text message updating from "In vehicle for delivery" to "Delayed". If you don't intend to deliver, please do not mislead customers at least. Pick-up point is 6 kms away, and this is for downtown Toronto. SMH

I use this location to send FedEx shipments few times, last time served by Kurtis and today as well. He is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Make your experience with FedEx much better then I experienced in the past with FedEx. I was disappointed in customer service before, it's not about the company it's about front line people that represents company in the best possible way. 5* for Kurtis

Update: Still awful. Terrible management. I am sure the guy behind me with maybe 2 dozen packages that probably need to go out today will miss the cutoff because the staff here has absolutely no clue here how to properly manage a logistics operation.

Ugh FedEx. You can do better. I’m told to drop it off my prepaid package in the container outside because there are too many people inside - the container outside says it’s already picked up, there’s one person only working at the counter - and there’s no discernible place to drop off packages. The line is huge and FedEx clearly is unable to handle it.

Advice to FedEx: set the pickup time for the box outside at 7: 30pm so people don’t have to wait in line to drop off pre-labeled packages.

I was at the FedEx centre last week and the supervisor, nathalya was outstanding and really helped me out of a serious jam.

She went above and beyond the customer service realm and not only helped me out personally but also was a massive help to our business.

The guy at the counter was amazing, but FedEx, (in my experience) is a terrible company and should be avoided at all costs.
After 3 failed attempts at delivery, where I was home waiting, they sent it to their holding location, accepted the package and then lost it.
I was receiving tracking updates over text, and on the day it was signed for at the holding location I got a text telling me it would be arriving the next day. I received no more texts, called customer service to confirm if it was there, was told it was, just to arrive and hear from the man at the counter that there was no record of its existence.
This all took just over 3 weeks and my apartment still has no kitchen table.

I had other bad experiences in the past as well, and through this experience my co-workers and I all shared Horror stories about FedEx.

I say avoid relying on them at all costs.

Truly abhorrent customer service. A package I had ordered arrived completely destroyed, and I have now spent several weeks trying to get my duties and taxes refunded, to no avail. Avoid, and use literally any other shipping service.

Rude, does not listen before interrupting when trying to explain. Then very quick to snap when I tried to correct this snappy rude woman. She also tried to reprimand me and say she would not help me after I told her what she asked me for is right in front of her and if she stopped snapping she would see that.

When she realized I was right, she tried to make another excuse as to why she snapped.

This woman has no business working in customer service.

Very unprofessional and lazy drivers. Someone shipped package priority overnight on Monday it was displaying me online it will be delivered on Friday. That's fine for me. So I was waitting for package to deliver and it's 4 pm now. No package. So I called them. FedEx said it will now schedule deliver on following Friday. No driver attempted delivery. Ridiculous I was keeep checking status multiple times a in day. It's bad service, they know very well customers do not have much choise so if they provide bad service still customer will come.

Having been told my parcel did not arrive because there was Construction- there was none and that was the excuse for the second day too. Then when I decided to go across town to pick up the parcel I met someone there who also had the same experience! Very unhappy about this!

I absolutely hate FedEx for their service in Toronto. Consistently, every single time I get something delivered by them, they make no attempt to phone me or follow delivery instructions (to knock on a specific door of my building). They don't even leave an 'attempted delivery' notice on my building door. I just get notified that they attempted delivery and I wasn't home, even though I was definitely home at the time. I doubt they actually have someone attempting to deliver the packages and they just prefer I go to their pickup locations myself, which are not conveniently located at all.

FedEx Canada used to be reliable before covid hit. I'm guessing a lot of best managers and delivery people left and working for Amazon, because after covid hit deliveries and management and tracking has been garbage and unreliable. Don't risk your deliveries with FedEx Canada. Use their rivals instead, - avoid Canada Post parcel deliveries too.

Zero. FedEx is the Donald Trump of "delivery" companies, where their abject incompetence is matched only by wildly misplaced arrogance. In four years, despite working from home and being a natural hermit, I've never once had a successful delivery from them, because "I'm never home". If any sort of zombie apocalypse wipes this scourge from the Earth, I welcome it. A bloated, self-serving "stable genius" for sure.

My experience at the shipping centre was fine but I shouldn't have had to go there. The driver left a tag at my back door without ever having rung the front doorbell. I saw him arrive and leave thinking he had left the package. Instead I had to call customer support minutes after he left only to be told it was not possible for him to come back and I'd have to drive across the city after 5 to pick it up myself. Come on FedEx

Pre-paid all my shipping and customs in advance when buying a product online from a small buisness, However they came back at me asking for more customs charges.

I actually went to go pay for it online, now you ask me to take up more of my time to make a profile giving out way too much information you need for me to make a simple payment. If you want my money at least make it easy for me to give it to you.

The location is not accessible by TTC. FedEx guys do not buzz in the building so every package carried by FedEx gets to this location and I have to spend lots of money taking Uber to there. There is only one bus route to the location but it is not regular and takes more than an hour from anywhere in Downtown

During lockdown I unexpectedly waited for about 40 minutes outside in freezing temperatures and strong winds before even getting to the line inside for package pickup. Once inside staff were friendly and helpful - but I sure wish they had more staff to move that line faster.

Drivers are just lazy in general. Took me 3 weeks to get my package. They didn''t even make an attempt to deliver the first time and the second time they said they will but they didn't. Had to call them several times, only to find out it was just sitting at their location for more than a week. Had to pick it up myself and it is very far from my address. Horrible courier!

No stars in my opinion. FAILED to attempt to deliver my package even when I had been home all week and provided my buzzer number 3 times. I know Fedex (If this is the only warehouse nearby) delivers to Scarborough because i have accepted packages by the same delivery driver numerous times during the pandemic for my sister. For me when I took the initiative and even filed two claims, the last one being about no attempts for delivery even when I believed they had attempted. Nope. After my second claim (The first one by the customer service rep to initiate a second delivery) they left it for pick up which I did not authorize because I dont drive and I am freaking home. By the other reviews it looks like this is how they operate with or without a pandemic. All I ordered was a pair of shoes but anyway they subsequently pick up your package, scan it and leave it for you to pick up espeacially after not actually attempting to deliver every time. I dont use fedex, and I will not now on my own accord. If a merchant ends up using fedex I would rather get a refund for my purchase. I have expressed this to my merchant and hopefully I can even get my freaking refund because it was a sale item. Unacceptable service!

I drive across town from the west side to this location as I know I will always get the proper service, with minimal hassles. The last time I was there with a full cart of boxes to go out, I waited in line less than 10 minutes (and we were outside). Completely worth the drive for the excellent service here.

[UPDATE: I went back the next day and it was a different story! Waited outside but only 10 minutes, staff were terrific and they found the package right away. Maybe they are reading these, or I just had terrible luck the first time).

ON my first visit here, I also waited 40 minutes (inside, tho!) and they could not find my package, even though the tracking shows it to bet here. I din’t blame this staff tho- FedEx is so unreliable. Only courier company that can’t get a package to us in our building! And the driver didn’t even wait 2 minutes for me to get my mask and shoes on to go downstairs. I saw him drive away.

Staff here are great, BUT, FedEx as a whole has gone down the tubes!

As soon as they got rid of the delivery guarantee, service went to nothing. Two clients told me that they didn't even get a door tag yesterday for parcels shipped on Monday, but that said 'customer not home to take delivery'

On top of that, they have increased prices.

So, we now have more expensive, poorer service!

Get your house in order FedEx!

Long line up outside at 6: 30pm and it was -10 degrees. Very limited parking, was lucky to get one close to the entrance. Overall wait inside and out was an hour.

The Delivery drivers here are lazy. Was expecting a package by 1: 30pm waited and looked out the window at 1230pm for any sign of FedEx. By 1: 10pm I get a message saying Customer not Available or Business Closed. They don't even attempt to go to your door. Which is ridiculous. Not even a door tag/slip was left. No FedEx truck even drove by my area.

It was one of the worst experience ever. I needed them to ship office stuff from Toronto to the USA. I called them 4 times to schedule PU, they have transferred me 3 times and hang up all the time. At the end I couldn’t schedule PU. I even have a business account with them and still they can’t do it. I wanted them to pick up stuff, wrap it and ship. Simple service. And what did I get? 0 from all of these. Thank you got “excellent service”. Unfortunately, my company has an account with them so I have to ship anyway it somehow. If it was for me I would never call them again.

Wanted to send a cell phone as a gift for my Nephew. I went to the commissioners st location as it was close to me in Toronto. Waited in a line for 30 min.only to be told I had to go out to mississauga to send a cell phone because hazardous waste?
I went to UPS location in the beach and within 5 min the phone was on its way.

Very long line up. The employee working the counter was the only staff member anywhere in sight. He called for back-up help, yet no one came to his rescue. Disappointed in my experience and hope I don't have to do business at this facility again.

Long wait times, had to stand in que for 1 hour as there is only 1 person at the counter who also goes to the warehouse to pick up orders. Other than that Its Fedex own centre so safety in shipping or picking up but have to wait long time. Lot of angry customers

Paid almost $100 to ship an envelope to Mexico on Tuesday which they said would arrive by 9pm Wednesday. Today, Thursday the envelope is in Miami, apparently with no address on it. So much for FedEx it and forget it.
