Met with Jordan on site to review the job requirements and almost nothing we discussed/agreed to made it onto his vague scope of work agreement or relayed to the crew doing the work. Fortunately I was home when they started the work (otherwise I would have come home to a fence install very different from the one that I asked for) and was able to get them to make the required changes but not without complaints from the crew and allegations from Fencescape that the fence would now cost me more. I had to spend considerable amount of my time going through and resending all of my email correspondence to this company (which fortunately I kept) identifying errors or contradictions in the agreement, and talking to 3 different company reps which clearly were not talking to each other. It was not a good experience.

Absolutely love the final product. The service was great and very professional. Would highly recommend!

Everyone from start to finish was professional, courteous, friendly. I appreciated being kept informed of expected start times. The crews worked hard, with attention to detail, left the property immaculate and were easy to deal with. The lovely wood fence adds much visual appeal to the property

Started in a purchase of PVC fence in the neighborhood group with this company.very bad experience with the signing process. The original terms and conditions have many terms not fair to our buyers. Got them modified a bit after a long negotiation.

But still no job diagram is attached to the contract even the contract says the "job diagram", no timeline is provided on signing even the contract says so. Only got a long explanation and email and asked us to "trust them". They don't even sign the contract back! And says that's the 20+ years of practice.
Don't know how the installation process will go.will see.

Our fence was recently completed by Fencescape and we are very pleased. Our old cedar fence was severely damaged in the derecho storm in May 2022. I researched fencing options and companies, and visited Fencescape where I was introduced to Pierre. He showed me the construction details of the PVC fence products, and it was obvious that Bufftech was the most robust, with intelligent design.

After an onsite visit I was provided with an estimate that was very competitive, and it seemed more promising to get the job done this year than with other companies. There was increased demand due to the storm. All of our dealings with Fencescape went smoothly, and the installation occurred earlier than we expected.

The post team was a father and son who worked hard and fast considering they dug the holes by hand, rather than with heavy machinery, so there was very minimal disturbance to our property. Galvanized metal supports are placed in cement footings prior to the vinyl H posts being slid over top. The heavy gauge rails, with large steel inserts, hold tongue and groove vertical boards to make a solid construction. Almost all screws are hidden, and there is a clean smooth appearance on both sides of the fence.

I think the PVC installation team are in good spirits on the job because the Bufftech is like toy building blocks. I think the designers might have played with Lego in their childhood. This also makes the fencing job go very quickly.

Our fence is on a corner so it is very noticeable in the neighbourhood, and we have been getting many comments on how nice it looks, and how well it blends in.

We would definitely recommend Fencescape, and if we need any additional fencing we won’t have to research, we will just call Pierre and tell him how many feet of Bufftech we need!

The fencescape team was very professional, informative and had great communication from the initial quote to installation. The installation was smooth and well done. The product quality exceeded my expectations.

The experience was top notch from top to bottom. Our sales rep Patrick was very responsive and made sure that we had the fence we needed at the right price.

The install went swimmingly. The first team came over and installed the posts. They spent a few hours and then left.

About a week later; my wife and I left to run errands and came back a few hours later with the whole fence already up! We were completely dazzled because we were not expecting the team so early!

I had Fencescape put up my fence 4 years ago. There was a storm in May 2022 and there were 2 fences that had to be rescrewed in again. Patrick came over no problem at all. I noticed my lower post was cracked and I notified Patrick and he came by to fix it up. I was pleased with his professionalism and politeness.

I love my fence! 5 neighbours, 5 fences. Quick response to help us out after that horrible storm trashed my front yard. It has taken us a couple of years but finally all my fences match.
Even my dogs appreciated the snow fence to temporarily keep them in their oasis. Thanks Patrick. Your and your guys rock!

We had a great experience from start to finish for our project. Our fence design was a bit complicated due to the odd shape of our yard and the fact that we opted for both wood and chain link.
Pierre was incredibly helpful and available to answer many of my questions, as well as my neighbours. Our yard joins with 4 (yes 4!) other yards, making this 1 project having to fit with 5 homeowners.
Every singe one of us is throughly impressed with the quality of work, professionalism of the installation (posts were done to perfection!) and the timing of the project being exactly as forecasted (project completed fall of 2021).

Absolutely outstanding service and professionalism. They were quick to respond to my initial inquiry, they came over to review the job details and provided a quote on time and exactly according to what I requested. Work was done very well. Quality control and workmanship was excellent.
What impressed me the most was the great business manners they have, if you have dealt with any company in the construction business you know that most companies are unreliable. When I was shopping for my fence some companies didn’t even answer, some were outrageously expensive, and another one took 3 months to get me an estimate.
Joe was great, very responsive, great communication skills and very professional.
Work was done very fast, no time wasted, and didn’t have to contact them multiple times to finish the work.

We are delighted with our wood and ornamental iron fence and gate that was installed in Spring 2021. Jamie expertly did all the post holes by hand which left absolutely no damage to our lot. The sales person Glenn L.is certainly an asset to Fencescape. He is on time and his communication skills are excellent. I interviewed 8 companies. Only two salepeople actually brought a sample of the inside of the fence posts and colours. Glenn was one of those. Upon finding out I needed the gate posts installed prior to stamped concrete Glenn made immediate arrangements for the posts to be completed a few days later. The post installer worked on a Saturday. He was very personable and did his job well.

The inside "H" of the posts is far superior to those that just have a hollow post in the middle.

My only suggestion is for the office or installers to let the client know when they are coming.

Overall, the quality of the finished product is fine. That's the only reason I didn't give it 1 star. Because the final product is adequate.

We picked this company over another one we were considering because Glenn told us they could install at the end of September, whereas the competitor could only commit to late October. We were told our start date was hard to pin down, which is understandable, but we were given an approximate date of Sept 21.

On the 26th, after having heard nothing, we emailed. They said they'd gotten some long-awaited pressure treated wood and therefore re-shuffled clients who had been waiting. It seems strange to me that we didn't get bumped earlier to take one of those customers' slots if they were waiting for wood, but we said it was fine. We were then told "You are now on the board for the week of October 5th. Barring any dramatic weather events, that should hold true. "

On the 5th, we were told it would be the 12th. On the 14th, we were told it would be the 19th. That alone is 2 weeks of delay, but there definitely weren't 2 weeks of bad weather in that time. They started on the 19th, but then we really did have some bad weather, and the project didn't get finished until November 19 - two months after the original estimated date.

In addition, the crew left garbage behind. Most (but not all) of it was at least put into a garbage bag, but they just left that bag in the middle of my back lawn.

It all amounts to poor scheduling, poor time management, and poor communication. The fence was ultimately 2 months late, and most of the communication we got from the company was of their own initiative, it was always because we asked for updates. We got a few "sorry for the delays" in the emails, but no definitive statement that they were taking responsibility for their own poor planning, and certainly no offer of compensation for the delays, aside from "if we find rocks when we're digging posts, we won't charge you for those. "

I can't and won't recommend this company to others.

This guy runs a bad business, he will only call you back if he needs you to make his money but if there is a problem he will never call you back and ignore all of your calls and emails. He has poor customer service manners and very bad mouth. He is not professional at all! It is better if you do not deal with him and find another company. He does not stand by his word.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Fencescape. I had carefully researched fence products and checked them out before entering the contract. The PVC material that our fence is constructed from is excellent quality and value compared to other products we saw. The posts are very strong compared to other companies construction. These fences have been tested to hurricane wind standards and with what seems to be weather changing here with stronger winds this was important to us. The salesman, Pierre, was very helpful and professional. The installing team was excellent, polite and efficient.
The city damaged a fence rail while cutting grass in the park. Many thanks to Pierre, who came and replaced the rail promptly just for the cost of the rail! Excellent service!

A very pleasant experience with this company. Being new to Ottawa we asked for a recommendation by posting in our Briargreen neighbourhood fb page We had a relatively small job.fencing a backyard in front of cedar hedges so that our Hungarian Vizsla could not get out and go for a "walkabout" Excellent job for a reasonable price. The team that came to carry out this job were pleasant and professional.

We are extremely pleased with every aspect of our dealings with Fencescape. Joe Majic was exceptional in getting back to us quickly and delivering our fence as planned. The installers were courteous, hard working and did an excellent job. In a summer where there is such high demand for fence installation, we could not believe how well priced and professional every aspect of our transaction was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Horrible experience. The workers played music and spoke very loudly. I opened my patio door and kindly asked them to please keep it down because my 3 year old was sleeping and wasn't feeling well. They just ignored me and when I walk back in the house they laughed at me. I felt very offended and unappreciated, especially since they plugged their radio in my back yard outlet.

Do not recommend at all. Bad customer service and very rude workers. Our next door neighbors had them install a fence and they told us how horrible the experience was. Afterward the workers left concrete all over her lawn and didn't clean up after themselves.
