This place is unbelievably expensive, man. You practically need to take out a second mortgage to afford an entry and then food inside. It's a real kick in the wallet. The quality might be decent, but the price tag is just off the charts. If you're not rolling in dough, you better think twice before splurging at this joint.

This is such a wonderful experience especially as a non Scottish person to see and experience so much Scottish pride. If you go early you're definitely going to find a parking spot. Parking is super reasonable. I knew in advance I wasn't going to be able to stay all day: (. But in the 5 hours I was there I got to look around the tents, watch a couple of the games and experience the opening ceremony. It was so touching to see all the clans walk in together. Although some people worry about accessibility. I found that a lot of people with canes, walkers, or wheelchairs were able to access the property and join in on the experience. Next year I'm hoping to make it a weekend experience so that I can stay and enjoy the nightlife, buy the ticket for the special guest and experience more. They have a lot of food truck options, alot of vendors, a historical reenactment area, souvenirs, etc. The seating for the main area can be limited so next year I'm bringing a folding chair. I'm not sure why, this year and last year when I followed the address that automatically popped up on Google it was rerouting me to a soccer competition a couple streets down. So just double-check the address before going. I loved it and hated having to leave. Same time next year?:) I do think it would be interesting if the event sold 50/50 tickets and the 50 percent that the event keeps can either go towards a local charity, go towards funding the cultural center, go towards community activities, etc. Just something to consider!

$50 Admission price is a lot higher compared to the other games that offer the same entertainment and not nearly as many bands.

TLDR: We went on Saturday 2023 and honestly it is just not worth the price any more.

Tickets were $40 online and no refunds are allowed or it was $50 at the gate so we waited to get our tickets at the gate because why risk $90 with tax and it rains all day, we would rather spend $20 more to ensure its a nice day. Seems bad to not give refunds but I get it.

When we got there there we lots of vendor tents all selling the same old things. Its like anything that has a Scottish color or tartan was for sale. But really unless you are looking for clothing all the venders were selling dollar store stuff. There were TONNS of clothing places but again it was just all the same stuff in 10 different tents.

So after about 30 minutes you have visited every vendor.there seems to be like 40 food vendors with way over priced food like $24 fish and chips or $15 Sausage in a bun and fries.

There were a few events in tents like learn how to speak Celtic but again not really interesting.the strong man games were interesting but to me it was thin only thing worth watching and only had limited stadium seating to get a good view.

Its not that its horrible its just once you have gone once you have seen it all. I went like 10 years ago with my son and we left after 2 hours because he was so bored.but it was exactly the same just more expensive food and entry. IMO you are paying to look at honestly not good merchant product and not the best speakers. You can pay to see a person of the year from Outlander show but its not worth the extra money for us!

Save your money and go to a Farmers Market you will see the exact same thing!

Having recently discovered my 40% DNA make up comes from Scotland I thought it only prudent I explore more via this avenue. Yesterday was my first time at this Festival. What a great day. From the moment the gates opened to the closing at the end of Glass Tigers final song of the night. I've always liked this band's music but last night found a new deep respect and admiration for the singer Alan Frew for soldiering on such good humoredly despite an ailing recent throat issue. The fireworks unexpectedly were spectacular. Every marching band, musician, dancer, singer and athlete on the stage and in the field were a joy to watch and listen to. Even the people in the crowd were remarkably respectful of each other and of the grounds. Rarely have I encountered this rampant level of shear politness. It was a pleasure to be amongst them. It was my first year but it will not be my last.
