The receptionist, Samantha is very friendly and welcoming. She is patient and answers all questions the best she can.

Dr. Ben is amazing. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially those with young children. He makes the situation fun, he jokes and plays around with the nervous child. During the anesthesia part of the procedure he was calmly talking to my very scared child, and keeping mama calm as well.

Fifth Ave Dental is an extremely clean and welcoming office!

I normally see Dr Kat but since she's in vacation I was quite happy that Doc Van G was able to see me. He is completely different personality wise from Doc Kat but that was a nice change of pace. He was able to assewss my tooth and suggest a course of action that would be best for me health wise and in a smart monetary way for me as well.

If you like a quieter more serene visit to the dentist, choose Dr. Kat, if you like a more entertaining, "keep your mind off" the reason for your visit then Dr Van G would be your first choice.

So I would say you are in good hands with either of these 2 nice dentists. I personally will continue to keep them as my dental team!

Great staff. On time, very informative, knowledgeable and supportive. They walk you through each step so you know exactly what is happening. As soon as you walk in the door you feel at home. I felt so comfortable that I almost fell asleep in the chair.

I recently switched to Fifth Avenue and so far so good. The last place I was at had ever rotating dentists and hygienists. I really like having a more personal relationship with the people taking care of my teeth and so far it looks like Fifth Avenue is my kind of place.

I have dealt with them for years. I have found the whole team starting from the front desk to the dental team to be the best I have ever experienced! They work with you no matter what your financial situation is and do what they can for you. They are fantastic! Can’t say enough!

We always have have a great experience here with Dr. Rob, Renee, Penny, and the entire team. It's a busy office because it's well-run and organized. The waiting room is comfortable, you never have to wait long for an appointment. They are great with kids. I personally love going to the dentist, but my daughter doesn't! However, she always leaves in good spirits with a small toy in hand. Highly recommend.

Always a great visit with the team at Fifth Ave, even though it maybe a fearful and somewhat uncomfortable/painful situation they take the time to make you feel welcome and at home. Always have a good laugh with Doctor Kat and leave with a smile knowing they took the time and care!

Fifth avenue recently became my daughters dentist and in the short time have done so much to help her oral health

I've been going to Fifth Avenue Dental for years. Great service, very professional. Dr. Vangalen is wonderful, I have dentist phobia, and he is so understanding, and very kind and caring, and has been tremendous over the years. They also are wonderful with children. My grandchildren all go there and the staff are great with them. Help them feel relaxed, and explain the procedure to them. Highly recommend Fifth Avenue Dental.

The staff here are great. They make you feel at ease, answer all questions, go over all details of procedures and costs. My appointments are always on time and fast, but never rushed. Highly recommend.

Would definitely not recommend this place. I was referred by a local dentist for braces for my daughter. I was told they deal directly with insurance so we booked the appointment for a consultation. After attending the consultation, my wife was presented almost 700$ invoice. I told her that she wouldnt have to pay prior to the meeting so it was a big surprise.

After she had called me and told me this news, I was upset and called them immediately. I admit I wasnt with the best approach but I was obviously upset at the miscommunication that was happening. I was speaking with the secretary named Candice, she seemed awfully rude so I was rude back. After not being able to answer my concerns she told me the manager Rene would call me next day. I was much calmer next day and ready to apologize by my rude approach by the suprising misleading invoice. She never called.they had booked an appointment for a follow up on my daughters braces via zoom and never showed up nor gave us a notice. My wife then emailed them asking what was going on, they replied with "we are no longer doing your daughters braces due to your rude husband". Like I said, I was upset at the miscommunication and Candice didnt make the situation any better. My wife then picked up all our documents that was paid for and had to deal with Candice rude behavior in person. Im glad they canceled because of this unprofessionalism I'll take my business elsewhere.

Verbally abusive? I said what the F is that about after her rude response. I feel as if you guys are a scam. Your dentist office in shelburne sponsored my sons ALD to raise money thinking that this was a kind gesture. Have yet to see where that money was put towards. Good luck to you too.

The staff -. From reception through To Dr. ROB Van Galen has always been pleasant and exceptional as far as dental experiences. Even for those who are nervous etc - they go the distance to ensure patient comfort.

Dr VanGalen and Team always make you feel relaxed and at ease. They are very welcoming and courteous. My entire family has been coming to Fifth Avenue Dental for many years and we can’t think of a more close knit group of professionals! Thanks again for you high standards and work ethics!

I have been going to Fifth Avenue dental for over 20 years now, which says a lot in itself. The staff are always so friendly and geared towards making sure your experience is as pleasant as possible. They are great at giving you a range of options for any given procedure needed. I am 58 years old now, and despite having a few tooth issues over the years, I can say I am very happy with my teeth. I have 100% confidence that they will keep my teeth healthy for years to come. Great job Fifth Avenue Dental!

Seems like I'm the only bad experience. Went for an extraction and they shattered the tooth and damaged the one next to it.
Now 2 years later it is dead and needs to be extracted.
Obviously I'm going elsewhere!
OK it's 5 years ago but the tooth next to it was damaged by your dentist and has no feeling ever since and now has to be extracted.
The only thing worse than your mistake is your denial!

Excellent dentist! I switched from another dentist because i wasn't happy with the service and pricing, I'm glad i chose fifth Avenue. All the staff are very friendly, the prices are reasonable, and it's easy to get an appointment pretty soon, with other dentists it can be months. My 8 year old son really likes it too, dr. Van Galen is very gentle and good at keeping him calm, he actually doesn't mind going to the dentist now.

Great time in the comfortable chair. Erica is a great hygienist and always has great music on. Dr VanG always does a great examination and I'm never worried while there! I've been in the dental industry and I know that this is a top notch clinic that uses great products that are patient friendly. The office is also spotless which some other places in town are not.

I have been going to Fifth Avenue Family Dental for years and they continue to amaze me with their great customer service. Going to the dentist has always increased my anxiety but they always manage to make me feel at ease. If would recommend them.they are excellent.

As we can all attest to going to the dentist is not something we all love to do. That being said from a guy who is allergic to pain “like most men lol” the entire team makes my visit enjoyable. The warm reception at the entrance to Andrea the worlds greatest hygienist, to Mandy holding my hand while Doc Rob works his magic is awesome! Fifth ave is always there for their patients and cares about making this experience an enjoyable one! Mission accomplished Fifth Avenue!

Even though my regular appt is scheduled for 2 weeks from now, when a cap popped off unexpectedly on a recent Thursday evening, I emailed the office asking for an emergency consult the next day - a Friday! To my great surprise and appreciation, office staff responded to my email appeal within minutes of opening on Friday and Dr Kat accompanied by Andrea stepped up on behalf of Dr Van G to glue the cap back in place before noon! That’s what I call efficient teamwork! And they even provided freezing to minimize any discomfort even tho the procedure probably could have been done without it. Thank you you so much.

When I moved to the area 8 years ago a friend referred me to 5th Avenue Dental and since day one I have been pleased with every aspect of this office.
Dr. Van Galen and his team are all very pleasant and professional. Much like most people, going to the Dentist is something that I have never looked forward to, still don't, but with 5th Avenue Dental, its always a far better experience that I thought it would be. Yesterday I was there to have an implant put in and was told the pain afterwards would be minimal. After all the drilling and hammering I thought to myself, yeah right, and was dreading the pain which I expected to experience the next morning. Well I am very pleased to say, once again, they were right. This morning I have no pain from the procedure and I have only taken one pill for pain last night before going to bed. I also attribute this to their pre and post- instructions and medication.
I also want to mention that there customer service is excellent, especially with the follow up calls afterwards.

Very professional and extremely organized office. Never have to wait for your scheduled appointment and they are flexible and willing to work around your schedule in order to book a date/time that works for you.

I’ve had visits with both Dr. Van Galen (Sr.) and Dr. Korhonen. Both are fantastic! They are patient and attentive and listen to your concerns, are thorough and competent.

They offer a one stop shop for multiple services, from whitening and basic dental care to restoration, orthodontia and surgery, eliminating the need for referrals elsewhere. There are several hygienists so finding one with whom you “click” is easy.

There are a lot of dental practices in Orangeville and we’ve tried a few. 5th Avenue is the best, by far!

Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is that they are a little pricey…. But remember, you get what you pay for.

I have been a member of the Fifth Avenue Dental Centre for over 20 years and every visit has been a pleasure for me and my family. Always greeted with a smile.

“Wow” summarizes my first visit to Fifth Avenue Dental Clinic in Orangeville earlier this summer. A warm, caring, and professional atmosphere prevailed throughout this office. All staff were friendly, supportive, efficient and knowledgeable; this greatly calmed my anxiety related to going to dental appointments and to needing to have a crown, that I had believed was permanent, replaced.

Why Fifth Avenue Dental Clinic in Orangeville? After my original crown became dislodged, I decided to try the Cerec Crown procedure performed by Dr. Rob VanGalen and Eliza at Fifth Avenue Dental Clinic, even though it meant driving from Collingwood to Orangeville and consulting a new dentist. Thanks to computer technology, my Cerec crown was a “same day procedure”. Within 45 minutes of my arrival at Fifth St. Dental, Dr. Rob and Eliza had captured digital images of my tooth and jaw, prepared the surface of my tooth, and designed a crown. Next, using computer assisted technology, the crown was manufactured in the office. Eliza then adjusted and installed my crown. In total, I spent approximately 90 minutes in the dental chair for this procedure… No waiting two weeks or longer for a permanent crown to be manufactured and installed.

A very special thanks to Brenda, Eliza and Dr. Rob for providing such great care… and to Dr. Ben for explaining that the Cerec crown procedure was an option. I also appreciated the phone call that I received from Dr. Rob’s receptionist two days after my procedure to ask how I was feeling. From start to finish this was a positive and refreshing experience!

Fifth Avenue Dental was there for me when my regular provider wasn’t. Dr. Rob vanGalen performed an emergency double extraction on me two days ago. His expertise resulted in virtually no pain and minimal bleeding. The practice is vibrant and cheerful despite covid 19 restrictions. I have decided to become a new patient of Dr.vanGalen on account of the treatment and respect I was afforded. I am very pleased. Thank you Dr.vanGalen and your wonderful team.

I've been a patient of Dr. VanGalen for 26 years and haven't had one issue with my dental care. He always takes the time to explain his recommendations and all other options of treatments. The office is inviting and well organized with friendly staff.

I started going to this location after another dental specialist accidentally gave me a freezing overdose. The staff here does excellent work and helps with my anxiety issues with their skill, kindness and experience.

Not a great experience with this dental office.

If you're used to having your dental office interact with your work insurance (s), then this place isn't for you. We had numerous issues and found they are not really set up to deal with your insurance.

My wife and I each have a cell phone (and I provided all the info up front), however they constantly call me for her appointments, even though I would let them know that they can call her directly. The response I got was, "can't you just let her know. " Customer service is an opportunity here.

My family and I moved to Orangeville over the past year and our previous dental office (who we were with for over a decade) never once had a billing issue and the customer service was fantastic - this experience really made us miss them.

Dr. VanGalen and staff are amazing. I have been going here for over 15 yrs and I love how they continue to grow, upgrade and bring in new technology.

Been client for many years, service has degraded over the last 2-3 years. Made to wait well after scheduled appointments before being seated in a chair and waiting some more. Telephone and booking service is sub-par. Dental service was great now just average. Some really nice and competent staff and some not so.
