I was in with a party of 4,2 of us being vegetarians.
Waitress was incredibly helpful answering questions, food was absolutely delicious and everyone was satisfied.
Will return

My server Kristen was very attentive, and catered to all of our needs + more. The food here was great, and I’d definitely recommend stopping in for a pint

Great food and great music. The daytime bartenders Kelsey and Brenna are great to chat with, and give excellent service! Alivia the manager is very friendly and seems very helpful. Definitely a place to check out.

We have eaten at this location in the past and the food was good. Tonight’s food was awful! We ordered the pub nachos and wings. The nachos were so dry, was missing the queso as described on the menu and it looked like it had half a salad on top to cover up that fact. The wings were overdone and tasted a little funny like they were very old. And to pay $25 for 1.5lbs is ridiculous.
The waitress didn’t even come back to check to see if everything was ok until I flagged her down to comment on the dryness of the nachos.
Needless to say we will not be returning.

We mt friends there who really enjoy it. If I were to go by my first visit I would have given an overall five star on the food, service staff and atmosphere. It gave off an excellent vibe. We went back a few days later and were turned away because of an impending staff meeting. Our third attempt was disappointing and barely rates a three. My wife's food was warm but not hot. The service staff was not engaging and smiles seemed perfunctory. We will give it another shot. Perhaps it depends on the day you go there.

We had good time. Food was really good. Fast service. We got all our food on 15 mins. Very friendly owners and staffs. We will be back.

Went here after hearing my boyfriend rave about this place after going a few months ago. Service was terrible as it took 30+ mins to get our food orders in and once they came out our food was severely underdone we got the fish and chips and were thoroughly underwhelmed. Will not be returning.

My hubby goes here monthly to meet up with his pals. I finally had reason to go - The Doozies were playing! Brought a couple friends of ours and our teen kids. We all enjoyed everything we ordered and the entertainment did not disappoint. The Prince drink is highly recommended! Oh, and anything pasta! Oh and the brownie!

Came in for dinner and drinks last Friday night, and can honestly say, I won't be coming in again. While our server was sweet, she wasn't very attentive. We sat down looking at the drink menu, she came by, but we weren't ready yet. 20 mins later she came back and took our drink and food orders. Food comes out, and my boyfriend's steak was ice cold, and missing peppercorn sauce. She never came for a table check until about 20 mins later. Thankfully she took it off the bill. This is the second time coming here and the food and service has been awful both times.

I’ll start with saying that the service has always been great when we dined at this restaurant. It has been a while since we dined here and the menu has changed. I don’t know if they cut back on the quality of their ingredients or the have a chef that can’t cook. Either way the food ‘used’ to be delicious. Two of my favourite dishes in the past was their butter chicken and shepherds pie. I recently ordered butter chicken and found it inedible. The rice was overcooked mush and the chicken had the texture of gummy bears. I sent the butter chicken back and ordered the shepherds pie and it was disgusting as well. It tasted like the smell of canned dog food and it was soupy. Although our bill was adjusted accordingly we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Went here last night with my husband too try it out would never recommend going too this place again. I ordered Sheppards pie which ended up making both me and him sick. Waitress asked if it was because of my drink. How could it be I only had 1 and went straight too the washroom. I wouldn't recommend going here at all. Charged me full price for everything that we got even though my husband had a bite of the Sheppards pie and ended up throwing it up as well just after we left. Thanks Finn Maccools you guys are a rip off and feed people bad food

Excellent as always. Just updated their menu. Cost versus quality of food/service is very reasonable.

Live music nights can be very hit or miss.

First time here. Food was great and service excellent. Would definitely recommend. The portions were perfect, and cooked to perfection! I couldn’t be happier with the overall service and quality that I experienced here today!

Have been going there weekly for a couple of months now. The staff is great and the food delicious.

Worst experience in my life.
First issue was that it took forever to have a staff member come and even offer us a drink let alone inquire about food. The menu font is so small so you can't read what the ingredients, especially in such poor lighting. Description does not state that the Mayo is in both the burger AND the bacon mixture. I am.allergic to mayo Had to scrape the residue off the burger. Server offered new bum, then offered new bacon after he came back. Had to ask for replacement lettuce, tomato & pickle. My companion had to go to the bar to request condiments for my burger. Burger was barely adeaquate - Harbey's would have been better.
I still reacted to the residual mayonnaise on the burger.
The drink of ginger ale with sourpuss raspberry was an unbelievably weak tasting drink.
The only single saving Grace of the entire male beyond my companion was the lattice fries which were very well done.

I WAS STILL CHARGED FULL. PRIVVE for thin inswuquate meal.

I will never ever return to a Finn McCool's location anywhere especially not the Oshawa location at which I had this horrible horrible experience.

Ordered calamari and fish and chips. The calamari is quite chunky and tasty. Shareable at $14. The fish and chips features a nice sized piece of fish and is prepared well, but nothing set it apart from fish and chips everywhere else. Price was $17.

The only downsides were a very sticky table (apparently due to antiseptic cleanser) and painfully slow service. I don’t blame the server as the restaurant seemed to be understaffed for the crowd, something that seems more common than before the pandemic.

Good friendly patrons, cool bands nice music, food was really good. Prices reasonable. Service 4* waitress polite friendly good sense of humor. Would go back again.

Kelsey was our server, she was awesome! First time here and the food great. For drinks, the strawberry rhubarb mule tasted nice, and rail liquor is a good price. I recommend!

Had a reservation for a large group made up of hockey parents and players. The staff were attentive, friendly and super accommodating. The food came out hot and fresh. I was very impressed considering they had two large groups there that night. I would highly recommend.

I believe it was Sara who me the most amazing if sh and chips She even found time to make me homemade tarterrl sauce. Food was awesome and very affordable. Thanks again

Went to Fionn's for dinner. We haven't been since Covid hit. They've changed up their menu since and wow was the food ever good! The calamari was the best we've had in Durham region. Fresh and well cooked-nothing about it was rubbery or tiny. We both had sandwiches (blarney burger & the double stacked chicken sandwich) and both were phenomenal. Fries (sweet potato and waffle cut) were perfectly done. Our server was friendly. We were pleasantly surprised and will be back again soon.

Excellent high energy bar with a classy decorative interior. Here on a friday night watching hockey, drinking cold beer and scarfing down delicious food. On top of it all, we've got a concert to listen to of classic rock bangers by an awesome live band.

We had our engagement party here over the weekend and it could not have gone better! Live music, leaf game, great food, great atmosphere. Scott and the staff were all amazing. We will definitely be recommending Fionn MacCool's to our friends and family that are planning events. Thank you again to the staff for being so awesome to our friends and family!

Overpriced and under flavored. $22 for a burger and fries? ! For that price it better have caviare and truffle butter in it!

Love the live music, love the food and love the staff. What more can I say. I'm a weekly regular who would recommend this place all the time.

Good food and service! I removed a star only because inside the restaurant where we originally wanted to sit, they placed us at a table that was not cleaned. Our menu stuck to our table and under the table was a set of paper and food. The Outside patio was nice, cleaner and private. I enjoyed the calamari and the waiter made his own cocktail sauce for me. I really appreciated that. I had the spicy shrimp pasta which was okay. It was light and tasty. Not creamy at all and doesn't look like the picture in the menu but it was ok. The blackened salmon was nice but small. The artichoke dip is much better with the naan bread versus the chips that comes with it.

Patio is beautiful and staff is excellent. My waitress went above and beyond! She noticed I didn’t finish my food and persuaded me to tell her what the issue was (I was going to just leave it) and she insisted so I said my Guinness mashed potato bowl had essentially no meat in it, it was basically soup. She apologized, spoke with the kitchen and took it off my bill. The drinks were excellent (as always) my only downside would be the lack of stuff on the actual menu. There’s not a lot of options and they took the Appletini was taken off the menu which sucks because it was excellent!

Staff are very nice and friendly. Food service was fast. Could improve on taste and selection on the menu.

We arrived reasonably early and took a booth, which gave us some privacy. Great atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt - the whole evening, even when it was getting busy, we never had to hunt for our server. She was great. Started with a warm spinach and artichoke dip to share - delicious. I had the brazed lamb shank and it was plentiful and delicious, with mash and broccolini. This was our first visit to this location, and we'll be back for sure!

The vegan phish tacos are bomb af. Best fish substitute by far. Love the staff as well! (: recommend to all vegans!

WOW! What a great patio. You should be promoting this place more. I went to Costco and was looking for lunch afterwards. Stopped in to check you out. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazing food. We stayed a little too long and the dairy that I bought at Costco went bad.

Great place. Overall experience is good from the management to staff to quality of food. Atmosphere has a bit of everything depending on the day or time you are there. Good for a franchise pub. Reuben was good, order the little boxty appetizer things, really good.

That Carckh or whatever it's called 5$ house beer was actually pretty good.

Food and Service are always excellent. The General Manager has always accommodated our last minute large party requirements and pitched in with staff to ensure the level of service remains high.

Like this place. They have gluten free options which I need. Service & quality of food is good.

Great location near Costco in Oshawa.lots of parking, great beers on tap and i love that this place isn't the same old restaurant like everywhere else. A traditional pub and friendly staff.

The man who brought us to our tables was so oblivious and didnt notice that he smacked my friend in the face while he was giving someone else directions.

Reservations had been made and not honored. Waitress did not seem to think 4 people at a table required 4 sets of cutlery and 4 napkins and 4 plates for nacho appetizers. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins and extra plate. When food She left after we had barely finished eating and said she was finished her shift, so wanted us to pay before she left. Lousiest service I have ever had.was served she did not check to see if it was okay. Did not clear table of dishes and glassware. Left her shift before we were finished eating. Lousiest service I have ever had there. Will not be going back.

Horrible food, horrible service. I got a BOOKLET of coupons to this restaurant and to support local kids sports. I used only 1 out of 10 and I threw the booklet in the garbage. Calamari was ok-salty. Steak was rolled in salt and burnt on the sides. My vegetables weren cold. My daughter got fettucini alfredo and I think the while container of salt fell into her pasta. The burger my son got was as dry as a rubber shoe. What an awful dinner experience. Will never come back. I don't even want it if it was free. The waitress was a moody mess. When I complained to her she just rolled her eyes. So dissapointed and frustrated.

Staff are conscientious and attentive in their delivery and should be commended for their representation of the business itself, shame the GM is an arrogant, self centered stiff only focused on his own agenda, I genuinely adore this franchise, but will not return here.
If the owners of this business are reading this, as a restauranteur please re evaluate your placements as it is costing you revenue.

I have been back a few more times since my last review and the service has been better.it is a good place to go to get a good filling meal.the burrito size is certainly large and the cost is quite reasonable for the walletLet me just say that the burrito bowl was HUUUUUUGE! I got 3 meals out of it! The service was great! They gave me extra guac at no extra charge.

Awesome place to meet friends and have a drink and grub.i don't like places that are filled with kids. Will definitely continue to recommend.looking forward to our birthday celebration with the gang

This place was Excellent. We walked right in and got a great table, with TV in sight. Our waitress (wearing a kilt) was knowledgeable, and helpful. Prices were decent. I had the Lobster Sandwich, and it was delicious and fresh. We will go back for sure.

Waited over 10 minutes after being told I can go on patio. Finally decided to go to the bar and order after the first round was finished we waited over 30 minutes and nobody came to ask if we wanted another pint. After 40 minutes someone finally came and we just asked for the bill. It was a slow afternoon and she was checking on other table on the patio and they got drinks while we sat there in disbelief. This was my go to place but not anymore. Very disappointed

The food was delicious. Noticed it was a bit on the greasier side. Portions were generous. Staff was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming or neglectful. The fact that the food was greasy left us feeling not so good afterward, which was unfortunate, as we did enjoy our meal.

They have and will make you a solid drink off menu. I mean come on man, that is like building a shelf above the top shelf and placing your drink thurr. They need to pick some better live music from time to time. But meh, beggars cant be choosers àm I right.

Walked in at 9: 55pm. Place was almost empty. Still waited over 25 minutes for a sandwich and fries which came only after we inquired. As a consolation. The food was yummy. It was the service that was lacking.

What can I say other than I havent worked in a kitchen in 4 years and trying some of their food last night makes me want to put in a resume for even bussing tables if it means I might he able to learn a few recipes hahaha

I had an onion soup which I craved for that day - but it smelled and didn't taste so much like an onion soup, was okay minus.
Also for main dish- I had the lamb which was very good and a beer with it
Apart from the soup, everything else was good, the service as well.

Nice to try something completely different. 2 appetizers were not available, but the ones we did try were good. Staff were friendly and prompt. Definitely a come back to restaurant.
