Been meaning to write this for a while, so apologies for the delay!

Was able to book a last minute appointment with them that I ended up adjusting times for due to work - they were super accommodating and really sweet!

Had my hair cut and styled by Maryann and (I'm so sorry I forgot your name! <3) assisted by the lovely blonde at reception.

Maryann really took the time to understand the style/vibe I was going for and did an amazing cut that gave me that.uh. K-pop-ish, medium length, tousled but still clean and polished, effortless kinda look, y'know?

Will be coming back again for another cut and a wavy perm when I get my length back!

Had a great experience doing several pop-in appointments for wash and blow, and also had my roots done a couple of times, and a hair mask as well.

They were accomodating meeting me early Saturday and Sunday before the events I attended.

Tl;dr: Easily the worst haircut experience of my life. Asked for bangs and did not get them, even after showing past pics of myself with the preferred bangs. Asked for a short trim and lost three inches. Paid 70$+ for this pleasure.

For my birthday last year I decided to get a haircut. I usually cut my hair myself, or go to somewhere super cheap to get a trim, but last year I wanted to do something special and go somewhere that had great reviews, if costed more money. So I chose Fiorio, because of their wonderful reviews.

I went with a junior stylist, with the understanding that someone with more experience would be supervising the cut. I really wanted this experience to be a great one and had been hoping for a bit of a change, by getting straight-across bangs. I was prepared, I brought in pictures of other curly-haired people with hair like mine and I even screenshot an image of myself of straight-across bangs that I had a long time ago. I wanted to make sure I wasn't asking them to do something that wasn't possible with my hair type.

When I arrived for my appointment I was a bit nervous, but with all the great reviews, I convinced myself everything would be fine. The receptionist was cold, but no matter, I was sipping on some tea, and soon my hairstylist was washing my hair. It was lovely, she did a great job, and I was beginning to be put at ease.

We then moved the barber's chair and she asked me what I wanted done. I told her straight across bangs and offered to pull out my many photos, she casually flipped through them and at this point a man sauntered in, and sat in the chair next to us. I'm not sure if he was the owner, or a more experienced stylist, but the two talked a bit about my hair, and he essentially said that the bangs couldn't be done. I expressed that I had it done before and offered to show the photos, which he declined, and said that those bangs would be "too much work" for me to maintain. They then discussed how to cut my hair, without actually asking me what I wanted, and then my stylist proceeded to cut my hair. I told her I still wanted the bangs.

At this point, I should have left. The senior stylist was rude, unwilling to understand what I needed or to help my stylist with the cut, and the younger stylist seemed confused, and scared to let her superior know that she was confused.

But I didn't leave, because I figured that they were the experts, maybe I misunderstood what was happening, maybe they saw the pictures and were figuring out a different way to cut my hair and get the same effect. So I stayed, and left my hair in their hands.

An hour into the cut, I realized my mistake. At this point the experienced stylist had left, and I had been trying to explain to my stylist, whose name was Afsaneh, I believe, for forty minutes, that I didn't understand why I still had no bangs. I tried and tried to explain what I wanted, I pulled out the pictures again, I demonstrated with my hands, but she just did not get it. It seemed like she had never cut bangs before, and after my cut, I can definitively say she still hasn't. Soon after, I gave up. I was emotionally exhausted and just wanted to get out of the salon and home to enjoy the rest of my birthday. So I left, with my hair 3 inches shorter than I asked for, and without the bangs I *did* ask for, and will not be back again.

Let me say, I can't fully fault Afsaneh here. She was really sweet, and I think the pressures of having two opinions (mine and her superior's) on what to do with my hair, affected her. But it was also obvious she did not have the experience necessary to be on the floor without supervision, and unfortunately, her supervisor was completely useless. He was incredibly dismissive and seemed to have no interest in training or advising her to do the cut properly, and she clearly needed the guidance. I blame him more than her.

First time client here. Today I had a cut/wash/style and treatment with Tony. It’s always a challenge for me to find a stylist that’s comfortable and has experience cutting thick curly/wavy hair. Luckily, I connected with Tony. He was gentle with my hair during the whole time, never once did I feel my hair being pulled. He cut my hair to my preference all while being considerate of the natural texture of my hair. I satisfied knowing that I can trust Tony moving forward after my experience today. Will be seeing him again in 3 months.

My hair was so dead and dry and I was in desperate need of a haircut. Sage gave me the perfect cut that was exactly what I was hoping for and more! She also asked me questions about whether I’m trying to grow out my hair, how I style it and if I often wear it in a ponytail so she could make the cut look good even when my hair is up. She made me feel super comfortable the whole way through, was very detail oriented and I’m very happy with the look!

Wonderful experience with Evan as my hair stylist and colorist! I've never dyed my hair before, and thanks to Evan's skillful and intuitive talents, my new balayage looks fantastic! He listened to my needs and took the time to explain a) my hair type b) expected AND realistic colors that he might be able to draw out through the process c) what I wanted as my end result. I've been receiving compliments from everyone! Many of the comments suggest my color is perfect for my skin tone and gives me a youthful glow.

I was hesitant to make such a drastic change, but I'll never go back to the old me because of Evan. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair color! Evan is a complete professional from beginning to end. He takes full responsibility for your hair care and is genuinely concerned about making you feel satisfied and happy with the entire process.

I can't thank Evan enough for his marvelous service and my life game changing hair color!

I didnt know about this place until I was referred. It’s located at a convenient place,
easily accessible by TTC which was nice.

I got men’s perm from Leia, and she did a great job. She was also very friendly so the process was a lot less boring.

The shop is well maintained and spotless.

All in all, a nice hair salon to go to!

I recently got a men's hair perm by Leia at this salon, and overall, I had a great experience. Leia was professional and friendly, and made sure to listen to my concerns and preferences before getting started. She was knowledgeable and skilled, and I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire process.

The perm itself turned out well, and I was happy with the final result. While it wasn't necessarily something that blew me away, it was definitely a noticeable improvement from my previous hairstyle.

Overall, I would recommend Leia to anyone looking for a men's hair perm. She is a competent stylist who will provide you with a quality result and a positive experience.

This time we use WELLA hair colour.

The results were incredible.
Maria has been very sensitive to the ammonia and other Ingredients in the hair colour at the point that it was very hard for her to breath.

But with this new line the difference is day and night.

Yina cut my hair as I like it- blunt with no layers with exception of the ones I’m growing out. She consulted with me about going blonder and then patiently did a full head of highlights. I’m VERY picky. So purple shampoo / treatment was a bit ashy for me at first, but I have washed and styled it and it is how I like it! Sunshine California blonde! She even showed me the toner before she applied it, so I wasn’t fearful of it looking tragic. Yina Transformed my hair with precision from blah dull and strangely brassy to a cute blonde. Thanks so much Yina! AND she is a total sweetheart. My attempt at washing and styling is the first photo. The second one is Yina’s work!

I have been there for haircut with designer Yina. She was very professional and nice to customers. She trimmed hair exactly what I wanted. The shop was new and clean, and the staffs are very kind. It was great experience, and I would love to recommend this shop!

This was my second time getting my hair dyed with Yina at fiorio north york location. I am extremely happy with the color that I got and it lasts long and it barely fades even after washing my hair for countless times. I recommend her if you want to dye your hair and get the color that you want. She will bring the color exactly the same or even better than what you imagined. Oh also she gives a very good haircut as well that makes me look at least 10 years younger haha. I definitely recommend her!

I had Japanese Straightening perm last week with Yina and I am beyond happy with my hair! My frizzy hair turned out to be straight, smooth and shiny.

Yina is sweet and has positive energy. She genuinely hopes her customers to be happy about her work, and I could feel that from her service and the result. She asked if I have any specific hair cut that I prefer, my regular hair style (tied up hair or loose hair) and advised some tips to manage my hair after the perm.
She’s very passionate about her work, professional and very knowledgeable.

Came here for the first time yesterday for hair colour + treatment with Yina and I think she just became my all-time favourite hair stylist! She helped me get the exact hair colour I wanted (ash brown) and turned my dry-bleachy-damaged hair become super soft. She’s so nice, caring, and extremely talented! Overall a great experience and will definitely come back.

I do public speaking and video shooting regularly and this is my absolute go-to place. What I love the most is that they know exactly what I want (professional look for the videos etc.) + what I need (my hair to be really maintenance easy), and it's amazing how they know my hair better than I do. And I just took my mom for a birthday treat, and she says the style is exactly what she's been wanting for YEARS and she showed a few very elegant designs she's been scrapping over the years!

It's so hard to find the right place for my hair-kind, and this is definitely a place to destress and treat yourself to a well-deserving spa experience.

I had highlights done with Tony. I have to say he is amazing and patient. I simply had to tell what type of look I wanted for my highlights and he selected toner for me. It turned out really well. Service was Impressive and professional. Absolutely Worth the money.

This place seemed to have good reviews and I couldn't get an appointment at my preferred salon but was desperate for a haircut after the lock down. Unfortunately I did not get the quality of service I was hoping for. Maryann was very nice but it was obvious she thought she only needed to give me the most basic cut. I specifically said, I wanted it layered. She decided to cut it blunt. I literally could have just taken scissors and cut my own hair and it would have turned out the same. I paid >$120 and have hated my decision to go here ever since.

I love getting my haircut here! I've been searching for years for a place that cuts my hair exactly to my liking and this salon kills it every single time. I had the pleasure of having Tony as my stylist this time around and he did a fantastic job! I showed him one picture of the hair I wanted and he got it spot on. He was also a great conversationalist and made me feel so comfortable during my visit. I got my hair cut and coloring done by Feri and she did an amazing job! I went in with a certain hair cut in mind but Feri explained to me how that would not be the best for me in terms of maintenance and my hair type and instead she did a long bob which was a game changer! I did my haircut here and hair treatment for dry and frizzy hair. But i have never been disatisfied in my entire life til i got here. My hair is still the same frizzy and dry, no changes at all. And my haircut was the worse. Entry level haircut and its so ugly i cant even have the confidence to go out because of my hair. I wanted pixie but they did very short bob with layers. An ugly layers that when i fix and iron my hair. I would see random short hairs all over. And it would stick iut and its ugly. Im not for sure coming back in here. Waste of money. My girlfriend thiught the same thing. She went here once and never did came back. Their friendly thats for sure and professional but the quality is a no for me.

I got my hair done by Boyeon Yoon. She was amazing and took her time to make it perfect! I was a little nervous when i first saw my hair color and highlight but Boyeon Yoon did something and made it beautiful! She is the master of color! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I came to Fiorio GS because I made a massive mistake going some where else for a balayage/ombre that resulted in looking like I did an at home box bleach job that had been grown out a few months. I was absolutely devastated to say the least, but in came my angel savior Stacey. She was honest, knowledgeable, bubbly and funny. It was a quite the process but she brought me back to life and admittedly I got a smidge emotional about it because I truly felt my hair may have been a lost cause. Listen, just go here, don't second guess it, it's WORTH it and be sure to ask for Stacey.

Got my highlights done by Feri today and she did an amazing job! Feri is kind and professional and listened to my concerns. She gave me a final result that goes perfectly with my skin tone and is beautifully blended. So glad to have found a wonderful hairstylist close to where I live now! The salon is clean and they are taking the necessary precautions. Will definitely return!

Had a great haircut and service here by Maryann. I had to change my original appointment due to personal scheduling issues and had no problem getting an alternate preferred date on short notice. There was a bit of a miscommunication with respect to the pricing at the time of the service however that was resolved by the salon once they became aware of it.

I absolutely loved my experience here! I had my hair cut by Tony a few weeks ago now and it still looks absolutely amazing. I let him more or less do what he thought was best for my hair length and texture, and he did such a fantastic job. My hair is very long and naturally wavy, and it's the mark of a great haircut for me when I can just let it air dry out of the shower and have it look amazing. On top of that, Tony is just such a warm and wonderful guy, we chatted away the entire time he was doing my hair and it made the experience that much better! As well, I felt very safe the whole time I was there - Everyone is wearing a mask and all the clients are spaced apart to ensure social distancing. Thank you again Tony!

Went in this morning for a drastic hair cut with Erin. I didn't have a strong idea of what I wanted but she asked all the right questions and I left feeling amazing about my new hair cut. If you're looking for fun colors or an edgy cut Erin is your girl!

Hairstylist Jia did a great job on my hair. He is good at both western and Japanese style. I don't have much volume. His cut creats good volume and it looks young and healthy. Very satisfying experience!

I’ve been coming to Fiorio at Gibson square for 1year and I always have a great experience for colouring. A colourist Oxana is amazing. She knows what’s the best colour for hair and I always satisfied with the result. Colouring price is reasonable. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Fiorio today. My stylist Feri was a huge help and very informative. She helped me pick a style that suited my hair well and i love it.

I have been going to Richard for my hair the past 3 years and its been an amazing experience from day one. He listens to all your needs and does an amazing job with my hair cuts. It took me forever to find a stylist like him and I am very satisfied. All the other staff at this location are super friendly and professional and I highly recommend this salon to everyone.
