Always a pleasant experience! Amazing sandwiches and friendly staff, I would definitely recommend trying firehouse subs if you haven't already!

I tried the steak and cheese sub.the taste is so good. The atmosphere is amazing. The interior mimics a fire station. I felt like I was in a movie.

Owned by firefighters. A firefighters type atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Took a short time with my order. Food was excellent.

Absolute banger of an experience here. Came here with my daughter, got a sub, they made sure to check if she liked it then at the end asked if I wanted a take out container for everything un-finished. Food was delicious and I felt like I had a full service server taking care of us. Well beyond what I expect for a quick stop. Super impressed.

Generally a higher end quiznos with prices scaled up. 30 bucks for two people is the norm, but the food is obviously of higher quality. Bread and toppings were fresh. Meat quantity and quality were top notch (it really should be for 15 bucks a sub). Manager was at the cash and was excellent at his job. He said i would have no regrets getting the large sub.although my wallet disagrees, the sub itself was fantastic. Definitely not an every day eating place due to price. However if you are bored with subway or quiznos and dont mind paying a but more this place is a nice treat.
Update: prices went up a bit due to covid. Still the best tasting but most expensive sub in town

I Honestly Really Love This And All Locations of Firehouse Subs cause All of Their Food is Yummy and Extremely Extremely way Better and Greater than Subway & Mr. Sub Hands Down. I will ONLY go to Firehouse Subs for ALL My Subs & Etc.needs.

I feel like the food is progressively getting worse in quality. Used to be amazing every time but in the last while, each time I have gone, the bread is soggy and my sandwich falls apart.

The place is clean, sandwiches were done perfectly and service is amazing. The ladies communicated clearly and make everyone feel welcome. We will be back!

Where's the beef?

Update April 19 2022: Dear owner, please review the attached photo and tell me again with a straight face that there is anywhere near 250 g of meat on that sandwich, premium or otherwise. It was not an awesome sandwich.my friend looked at it and described it as a "travesty of a sandwich". I basically paid $13 for a crunchy bread roll. The restaurant generally gets good reviews and I don't think Firehouse would do well serving sandwiches like that. Before telling me I'm wrong, maybe you should look at the measuring practices used in your restaurant.

The subs are huge and delicious! And the staff is always friendly and attentive. I love the greeting for every person too! So fun!

I craved firehouse, I looked at their now overly priced sandwiches and instantly lost my appetite.

Love their subs. Higher quality than other sub places but you pay a little more for it. I think it is well worth it though, the meat quality is great.

Food is good, but they need to stop increasing their prices. These unfair prices are going to drive a lot of your customers away. Everyone should boycott restaurants that suddenly increase their prices for no reason.

Delicious subs but SO SLOW. Too many third party orders slowing down service for customers standing right in front of you!

Greatest sub you can get on the go. However, you will be waiting a while after you order before it is ready.

By far the best subs around and I've been going to this location since they opened, nothing but great service everytime!

We went to Firehouse subs on Wednesday night. I order a steak and cheese sub. The sub was served in what looked like a hotdog bun. It had some shaved steak, onion and I couldn’t taste any cheese. It was served cold. Same for my two sons who ordered the club subs-and Mother asked for roast beef with no onions which they gave her anyway. She was lucky and had tomatoes but still it was not warm. Worst sub I’ve had.

The subs are delicious! Had a large sub and it was very filling. The bread was toasted just right and it was loaded with meat. It was a bit more expensive than most places, but well worth it.
Wish there was a location closer to Carleton Place; I'd be there all the time.

Absolutely fantastic food and sandwiches the fact that a took an entire bite outta the sandwich and it was pure overflowing meat with their amazing sauce was an absolute delight! Super efficient staff even cups are pre prepared which just speaks volume of far these guys would go. I could go on and on but everyone should give them a shot!

The food is really good. The subs are much better than that “other” sub place but you pay for it. Soup was pretty good too but a little salty for me (but we don’t consume a lot of salt normally). The only thing that stopped me from rating a 5 was the service was very slow (almost 20 min for 2 sandwiches and 2 soups) and they didn’t get my order quite right (ordered the spicy meatball but got the regular). Neither issue would stop me from going back!

Amazing subs!?

Worth the drive to Barrehaven for these sandwiches. Had the Engineer Sub, delicious! Blows other sub places out of the park. A bit more $$ but for the quality and amount of meat you get. So worth it!

PS. Love the dill pickle spear you receive with these subs. Nice little surprise.

Best submarine I ever had! Visited my friend in Kanata and she bought me supper there. Had a Steak & Cheese sub and added sautéed mushrooms. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Will make it a must on each visit to Ottawa! PLEASE add a location in Laval, Quebec too!

When I want a submarine sandwich I now go here! No point in settling for that other place.

Everything I've had so far has been awesome. It might be just a sammy shop, but it's far better than those shops that make subs with substandard ingredients.

Awesome spot to stop by for lunch! Sub are off the charts delicious and you won’t be disappointed! I gone for lunch many times and have been very lucky to be in a few courses that had firehouse laid out for us! Great course that was! The staff are very friendly here and service is great! Love this place!

I have been going to firehouse subs since they have opened! The staff is so welcoming and really pride themselves on outstanding customer service. The food is amazing (try the Beef Brisket) its to die for! The owner is always out on the floor interacting with customers which isn't something you see often! Its overall an amazing atmosphere and will always refer people there.

The manager or whoever it was was very rude. 0/10 don’t like this place because of the owner, very rude. Terrible customer service

We’ve gone to Firehouse several times. Each time we try a new one. We’ve tried almost all of them and have loved each one! They aren’t kidding when they say meatiest! Always mouthwatering and you’ll leave full!
The staff is also very knowledgeable about the product and very friendly.

Not even comparable to Subway! Sooo good! Staff are always helpful and friendly. They take the time to prepare your sub and it seems very fresh! Try their meatball sub - it’s a game changer!

A long time lover of subs, we tried The new Barrhaven Firehouse subs shortly after they opened. When you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly staff and they walk you through the ordering process. While it takes a few minutes longer then other sub shops, the end product is worth it. The bread is always fresh and they prepare the subs to order. We love every sub we have tried but the New York Steamer is especially delicious. It is safe to say, this is now the only option when we crave subs!

Really enjoyed their subs! I got the brisket and cheese sub and it was unreal! Only thing I didn't like was the cookie I got with the meal. It was extremely tough and I had to throw it out. That's why I'm giving them 4 stars

A friend of mine told me that this location was hosting a PTSD Fundraiser for First Responders yesterday (January 5th). As first responders in Ottawa, we thought this was a phenomenal initiative on the part of the store, so we drove down to Barrhaven at 3: 15pm.

We arrived and were greeted by a very nice lady at the door who explained the event was for friends/family only - must have received an invite. I explained that we were First Responders that learned of this initiative and wanted to donate. Despite that fact, we were not permitted to attend. She was very kind in explaining it to us, and we managed to make a donation regardless.

I fully understand that a private business can host any private function it wants. However, it felt like a bit of a slap in the face to turn away First Responders who were attending a First Responder fundraiser to donate money.

Regardless, I’ve given a 5 star rating for the initiative. I think it’s great that local businesses are raising money toward combatting PTSD. We wish you much success with your new business.

Food is great. You really get what you pay for. If you're looking for some heat too, they have loads of hotsauces available to put on. Great atmosphere and great service.

We visited the new Firehouse during the Monday dinner rush. They were training lots of new employees, but management was keeping everything running smoothly! Our subs were PERFECT! We're so glad to have some more variety out here in Far-haven. We'll definately be back!

Firehouse subs has higher prices than other sub chains but the quality is better at Firehouse. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Delicious flavor and nice atmosphere 5/5

Really tasty subs! Service was amazing! Will definitely go back. We had the meatball sub and the New York Steamer. Both were YUM!

The owner and staff are very friendly and provide good advice on the food and great service. Food is so good that once you try it you'll never have subway or quiznos again. Bonus if you're a hot sauce lover, they have tons of varieties to choose from.

From the time you walk in its, "10-12 Welcome to Firehouse". Customer service is top notch.

Food, OMG, best sub I've had in a really long time. Forget Subway, go hear. The foot long sub is packed with about 1lb of meat. I'm a big guy with a big appetite and I finished this sub feeling satisfied and full.

You won't regret it, just try it!

Quality of the subs at this Barrhaven location are the best in Ottawa. It’s about time Ottawa got a sub restaurant like firehouse. Firehouse is not cheap on the portion of food put on the subs. Owner at this location is really outgoing and staff is excellent, owner makes sure the quality is number one every time. Keep up the good work and you also gained another committed customer.

Subs are very over priced. Soup was watery and had little to no flavour.

10-12 And greeting every guest that walks in, including the contractor working on the place got very old and annoying after the 4th time.

Would rather them focus on making the food rather than greeting guests. Wait times are very long for an empty resturant.

What a sandwich! Thrilled that they have opened in Barrhaven. This location has friendly staff and the great food you're used to with Firehouse.

I went there yesterday and ordered a large brisket on white. I was delighted to hear that I could add bacon on it. The cashiers were so nice and the staff was very welcoming. My food was served hot and tasted amazing! Overall a great atmosphere and I will definitely come back!

One Of the Best Subs I have ever had and the Customer Service is amazing.

This is what subway should of done. I hope Firehouse puts them out. If you like subway STOP, don’t go to another one till you try these subs, and I promise you’ll be hooked.

Now what a great sub.the New York Streamer is excellent.lots of pastrami and cornbread.the bun was nice. I had a M for size.it was plenty for myself.my husband had the meatball and his reaction it is the best one and would highly recommend it. I will recommend Firehouse Subs to anyone who enjoys subs.it is a must. Love the photos on the wall.they are old Nepean Fire Dept. I noticed that helmets are Osgoode but I never got a look at the other ones.some of the memorabilia are signed by firemen from the area.big beautiful painting on the wall depicting Nepean fireman/fire truck, strandherd bridge etc.

The sandwiches are to die for and the music is the best of the best. What are you guys waiting for? Go check Firehouse Subs Barrhaven already. Phil, the owner takes care that each sub is made to order.

In short, FANTASTIC!
