Fireside Deli & Family Restaurant

It's always quite busy but we manage to get seated in good time. Waitress was good and our food came out nice and hot and just the way we ordered it. Food is very good and plenty of it and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Everything has always been good. But it's just a family style restaurant, which isn't a knock I love family style restaurants. It's just that there's nothing really to make it stand out from any other family style restaurant. It has a good variety on the menu, the prices and portions are good etc.etc.etc. Nothing to rave at, but nothing to complain about either.

Food quality and service have gone waaay down in the last 2-3 years.
Food is often very cool/cold.
A lot of the food is obviously reheated to serve.
Service has slowed down considerably. Even when it's not full the service is slower than other resteraunts.
Plates are also frequently dirty and toast is often stale and dried out.

Service is little slow because it’s crowded at weekend. I love the breakfast. Haven’t tried lunch yet

Gave high stars for how cozy and classic the environment is, plus the friendly and swift service, but really I was very disappointed in the taste of the food. Presentation was top notch and there's definitely a great selection, but it seemed as though nothing was salted or seasoned. TERRIBLY bland. I had the breakfast special with their crispy fried chicken (which was soggy and tasteless) served on a waffle with supposed spicy chorizo gravy (also had zero salt and was astonishingly bland as water) with candied bacon and egg. I can't speak for their other standard breakfast stuff, though my dining partner's home fries seemed crispy and tasty and was my favorite thing on the table (and it wasn't even on my own plate!). Honestly, the waffle was the tastiest thing, but because I had a savoury dish, couldn't even add any butter or syrup because it would have clashed.
Really wonder why nothing seemed to be salted whatsoever, if it's just the way they do things there, or honestly they need to to work on seasoning their food properly.
Not really eager to return any time soon, sorry to say.

I took my family here for lunch on the weekend and everybody loved their experience. We have some severe allergies to contend with so it can be hard to find a place that's accommodating and safe. Thankfully, the staff at Fireside were super friendly, reassuring, and were able to provide a safe dining experience for us.

The food was mostly fantastic. The Fireside Souvlaki plate was almost $20 but the portion was generous enough to easily cover two meals. The skewers were juicy and well seasoned, the rice had incredible flavour, and it was nice to have fries included as well. The philly cheesesteak sandwich, liver and onions and mozzarella sticks also had very positive reviews at our table. The only disappointment was the nachos. They just didn't stack up compared to other places in the region. But this was easy to overlook with so many other great dishes to enjoy.

I look forward to coming back again!

Took is 20 mins before close.very friendly and hospitable. This is my go to restaurant. Dine- in delivery or take out.all great!

Went with a group of 10 for breakfast. Though the food was delicious and the server attended to us often, everyone's meal was messed up, and had to be sent back. The worst part was the smell coming from the washroom. As I got closer to the women's washroom the smell of sewer got stronger. Inside was even WORSE! I warned the rest and no one else would use the washroom during our time there.

Had a big party we reserved spots for weeks in advance, only complaint is we were sat in the middle of the dinning and took up aisle room, felt unplanned. But food was great and the staff had no trouble taking our confusing orders and getting them out fast!

The food is good and prices are fair. The condition of the seating is less than I would expect. Even some infamous 'duct tape' would bind the edges of the cushions that have the stuffing bursting out and causing an unpleasant contact for those of us wearing shorts.

We usually have a great experience here. Not so today hot beef was barely warm hot hamburger loaded with way to much salt and the pizza half cooked.i no you can do better next time.

Was looking for good food and catch up visit with friends. Fireside in past was always a good choice except this visit definitely disappointed. Our waitress kept pushing us to order from the moment we sat down. She became rude and instant. Food was plentiful but caesar salad was sub-par in taste, the chicken in stir-fry and pasta was tough and tasteless. So to say it was an expensive waste as we did not finish most of our food and I sure was not taking anything home as it was not pleasing. And our waitress once again rushed us to pay yet the restaurant was not closing for at least 45 minutes yet so not sure why the push. I will not be rushing back anytime soon.

Had breakfast with out of town family. Due to the size of our group we were at 2 separate tables which was fine. The waitress serving the table I was at was the most unfriendly person, made it seem like she didn't even want to be there, was rather rude.
French toast was so hard we could barely cut, had one bite and didn't eat anymore. I don't know what was done to it, maybe bread was stale.
Definitely will not be returning.

Always a good meal at fireside some great staff too that always make you feel welcome. Clay is a personal fave of ours but none will let you down. Amazing breakfasts and all meals are a great value.

Enjoyed meeting my relatives there. The service was great for us.

I used the washroom and found it being cleaned. I appreciate a cleaned bathroom.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid when it opened. Huge portions and cheap prices. Definitely a staple.

All around fantastic restaurant, Food is always amazing and the staff is great. Clay is the best waitress that I would highly recommend

I took skip the dishes app and ordered from there as one of the few italian poutine around. Unfortunatly, the poutine didn't had much in the way of cheese curds, like saw 1 melted and that was it. I was disappointed because it usually has reasonable amount of it. I liked the varaity of the menu but it really depends on who makes the dish and has been hit and miss at times unfortunatly, delivery has been worst than my dine in experience for quality of food.
