Nice ambiance, good food, but mixed experience with the staff; some very friendly some not that much!

I just got chicken wings dry not fresh and not ok to sale I have been in the neighborhood since 2015 and it’s not ok to serve your neighbours with bad food

We just moved to the neighborhood 2 months ago and this is quickly becoming our go to place, the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes, the food quality is good, the ambiance is chill and relax.my suggestion is to always ask your server for tips! Last week I asked the young man for a warm drink suggestion, I got something off the menu and I absolutely L. O. V. E. D it

Once again held our annual condo Halloween event in the event space upstairs at Firkin. Staff were WONDERFUL and helped make the night another great success.

Great place to sit and chat. It was empty when we went. The service was friendly. Food was great, we had the nachos and fish tacos. Great share plates.

Nice service. Place is neat and clean! Staff is friendly. And as a plus, a wonderful from the city skyline. What else could you want?

We had a great time. Wanted patio but rues are rules so we were set up in the furthest away spot. Great drinks. Great location Poor plant based options so it's a good thing we were there for the drinks! #firkin40

People were happy to help as best as they could and did as much as they could to ensure our experience was looked after. Tried to make a special birthday for our friend. You could tell there was some new staff who were learning. It is important to know hospitality is trying hard to maintain standards and there is lots of challenges for them post pandemic. I am sure it will only get better in time and get better and better.

Nice patio with great vies of the lake and city skyline. Happened to catch the Air Show practice when I was there. Bonus! I have eaten here several time. Food is always good and service great.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR FIRKIN BAY STREET - This used to be a fantastic bar with super friendly and prompt, capable staff. Since reopening, management doesn't tend bar or even say hello/acknowledge customers, staff don't communicate with each other and generally avoid/delay serving customers. Definitely visit if you wanted to be ignored for 10mins before eventually being served.

Enjoyed some drinks on the patio. Close to the lake but parked cars and traffic block the view. Not too noisy. After a walk in the hot sun after lunch this patio is in the shade and the cool breeze was just perfect. Great staff. Ladies bathroom needs some fixing up.

Our server Maddie was nice, helpful and prompt. Nachos were served hot, fresh and were flavorful. The front needs to be better managed, while we were waiting, people were able to walk up and get a table. Racism, maybe not, but felt a bit like it.
Will return, hopefully someone will pass this on to the front desk. Food and drinks were great.

Too many black flies around the table.
2 of the waitresses were desperate trying to flirt with the clients… very disrespectful.

The host was so rude and unprofessional, wating 1 hour in line then we saw late night menu, my friend said they better to inform people about this menu after 10 p.m (put sth in front of the pub) she said there is no obligation to stay here, since then all of us experienced so unprofessional services.
I know that was late and hostess were tired but that was my first pub after lockdown.which completely ruined by them

Poor quality in the food and the service, just remember after 10: 00 pm they have a late night menu with wings and chicken fingers only! The staff told us there is no obligation to stay when we complained about the menu, you know it is not nice to hear that after 1 hour waiting in the line

Had some fun. We were usuals at "the Moose" up in Vaughn I hope to do the same here as well. Everyone was very friendly and we felt super welcomed. It is nice to be back at the Firkin

Horrible.the waitress had bad attuide and when asked to get napkins she ignored. I don’t wanna say it was all to the bar tenders it was just the one, but instead of refusing to serve us she was very disrespectful. I asked her politely and she ignored and continued to serve people around me, so I asked for the manager who was appearently was “not working “ at the time. The bouncer told us it was up to the bar tender.
I will not go on besides say she had an issue with my friend but would not disclaim her issue from upfront. So I asked her for another drink for myself she replied yes, and continued to serve other people. I then, told my friend we should just leave. We began to put on our jackets and she asked my friend “would you like anymore “ my friend politely said “no “ (mindyou after I already asked and she had been rude) I brought it up to the bouncer but he would not speak to us on the issue. I deff will go back a later time to speak to management.

It's a Firkin, it's close to home and across the street is a great view of downtown! If you've never been to a Firkin give this one a try since the staff are great

Live close by in one of the buildings in the area. Used to go frequently given the convenience. The more i went, the more I realized not wanted in the pub. I find the overall service at the bar lacks a bit. Its been the same faces running the show on fridays or Saturdays, and ur night could be at their disposal if they feel like serving you. Tonight, I sat for about 15 to 20 minutes at the bar watching the bar tender talk and have fun with other customers at the bar. After 20 mins i felt a little disrespected when even the customer besides me was looking at me and wondering why the bar tender couldnt offer a drink. I had already told myself to avoid this place as much as possible, but given the convenience i tend to show up every now and then given its just a 3 min walk from my condo. Anyways, my first review ever. Extremly dissapointed.

Food is mediocre. Not good really. Great location and atmosphere. Would be awesome if they improved their menu.

While out on a wander in the west-end, my husband, myself and our dog Frankie stopped in for some lunch. The day was nice (and we had the dog), so we sat out on the patio. Our server was lovely and helpful, and willingly fielded my many questions - very handy considering my dietary restrictions due to allergies and veganism. The only reason for the docked star would be for the brand more generally. They've gone overboard with the rebranding in terms of decor and such, but not much on the menu for anyone who doesn't eat meat or cheese. I had an altered chickpea wrap, which was tasty, but it was one of the only things on the menu that wasn't salad, and I still had to order it sans cheese and chicken. In all honesty, I think it would do just as well with the meat as an add-on, since our server said my alterations were common ones.
Worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.

Cheap drinks and a great view, although the food is middle of the road, it won’t break the bank either.

It's a Firkin, which means it's a chain pub. Nothing really exceptional about this place aside from the decor and interior space is big/open. It's very typical pub food with some English Indian fare because I guess that's what English pubs do now (?). I've had times where service was on point and other times when it took forever to get anything. The Asian male server with glasses is pretty good. Later in the evening this place is usually packed due to all of the condos in the area. Street parking in the area is usually a challenge.

Decent (almost) upscale Kelsey's.kitchen did well. Front of house seemed more interested in regulars and social media.

The Good:
Nice location, atmosphere, and views. Friendly and fast service. Good beer selection. Prices are reasonable.

The Bad:
Generic pub grub. Okay, nothing special.but good value.

The Verdict:
Was there as part of a group. We had a private room upstairs overlooking
the Bay and downtown Toronto. We all had a good time. Go for the atmosphere and company and friendliness - not so much the food.

UPDATE: Had a bad experience with the same group two years later. But they made it right. Very grateful - and will return!

The server was really nice, the atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. I'd come back again for sure.

Good bar food. Servers seemed to more concerned about being cool and hip than actually providing good service.

We went there for the Fifa2018 final match and guess what it was jam packed, as expected. What was a bit disappointing was the fact that though they had space and seating to accommodate a huge number, there was no air-conditioning on the top level. So if you're planning on going here during a hot summer day try and stick to the ground level

The service was absolutely terrible. I waited forever for my wings and when it was time to pay the bill the system was down and I had to pay through e-transfer.

Bike ride date night and stopped in here for the view and a bite. Lovely patio on the water. Great atmosphere and the service was fantastic. Food was delish, just wish there were some more options. I would recommend!

No life. Little click groups. Barman was trying as best he could. Not cozy. Felt unwelcomed. Not caused by staff!

AC was busted, service was hilariously slow and bad. They came to our table several times but would only ask one person what they wanted even though the rest of us were sitting with empty drinks.food was what you’d expect from a firkin - not grand.

Although the food was good the service was a little underwhelming. We asked to see if we could have an item refunded because we didn't eat it or touch it, instead the server didn't help. He left to go check with his manager but instead got changed and left his shift leaving us to wait for a bit.

Food is above average for a pub and the service is decent. The location near the lake makes the patio good option in the summer. Though they don't seat the patio after 9 or 10 pm on weeknights as it's still a residential area. I'd recommend the chicken curry.

Service was horrible. Food was lack Lustre and we decided to sit inside because it was sweltering outside, and the AC was off? Never again.

After a bike ride, this was the first place to have come upon that wasn't a burger shack. Stopped here and there was a bit of a wait (10 mins) to get seated on the patio which had a lovely view of the skyline. The server was attentive. Started with a summer special of the chicken tacos and the pickle fries (a must have!). Shared a Chicago Beef Dip sandwich which made for a perfectly filling (not too filling to prevent a sluggish ride back) meal. A great spot to stop again if ever riding back to that area.

Horrible service, the servers are super inexperienced and slow. Does not pay attention to detail. Will hire anyone who walks through the doors. Clearly does not care about customer service. Server named jordan was the only one who seems to work hard. Needs an employee makeover.

I enjoy the London inspired food, however I find the consistency a little off. Still a great place to go for a light meal.

Great view of the city. The service isn't always the best but it's a nice place to lounge on a summer's day.

Really nice patio with beautiful view to the lake and downtown Toronto. We enjoyed it so much. The fish and chips was really great, huge portion of fish made so good. Great prices. I loved the service. Robin, our server, was so friendly. This place is great for a talk, tables are on a good distance. We had a great time talking with my friend looking at downtown lights and enjoying the great food and great service.
