Get a back door bell for the kitchen, that way kitchen staff can attend to vendors, don’t be that cheap as British, this’s North America and the buck here!

A hidden gem of a pub on Yonge. The best staff (especially Kate) and a judgement free zone to enjoy cold drinks and hot food in a comfortable atmosphere.

DO NOT get the potato skins. They were tiny. It's like they used one little potato for the whole appetizer. And they charged $15.95. Yes, they were tasty, but not worth $15.95

It's just as well that the food was good because the customer service was atrocious. The server had an attitude from the get-go and it didn't improve any. Also there is only ONE paper menu for the WHOLE place. ONE. Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? It was also the scrappiest piece of paper ever. We were snappily told to scan the QR code on the tatty sticker on the table. It didn't work. When I asked what was on draught it seemed an inconvenience (in a pub no less!) I was told when I asked for a Caesar salad that they don't do that any more. Then take it off the menu!
The food was good but as a Brit, in the company of another Brit, neither of us had heard of smashed peas. If it's their take on mushy peas then, give it up. Who appeared to be the manager seemed pleasant enough
We gave a small tip which was really only for the food.
Next visit to the Eaton Centre we will be giving this place a swerve.

I had booked for a group of 35 and confirmed at 5: 30 that we would have at least 35 for our 8: 30 booking. Arrived at 8 to make sure everything was set to find that they only setup for 30. I brought it up with the hostess and was told that they could give us more chairs but didn't have any tables they could spare and suggested that we could squeeze in on the bench seating. We ended up with 38 which would have been fine if it had been setup for 35 but trying to squeeze 38 into a setup for 30 didn't work. Food was good but we had to repeatedly ask our server about one order and didn't get it resolved until we asked one of the people delivering the food to look into it. Also they only had 1 waitress taking the orders. We requested water with lemon and after asking the waitress 3 times for lemons finally got them from one of the food servers.

Wings were very good. Caesar was well made
Service was good. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately, the kitchen forgot to send out part of my order.my Greek salad to go with my wings. Then, they forgot to put the dressing on the salad. The manager was very apologetic about it and even took it off my bill. Customer service still exists! I will be returning here as the service was top notch!

Service was pretty good. Waitress nice and helpful with my dietary needs. Food took awhile and they forgot one plate for our table. Made for a rough experience as we had somewhere to be at a certain time and had to rush to get our food down. Mistakes happen, but the food was just ok.

Went twice in one night, upstairs for drinks and dinner - service was pretty good. Then in the bar after the show, bar was less busy but service was not good at all

Food is cold and doesn't taste good at all. Service is bad. I do not recommend that place to anyone.

Always amazed by the level of service at this location. Drinks are always cold and the food is delicious and fresh. I particularly recommend the bangers and mash! It’s the best in the city.

If you happen to get the hostess Stefania she is a gem! She is always courteous and went over and above to help us out when we were there. Made my experience even better!

It was alright, went during a hockey night with friends. We don't watch hockey so it was loud when all we wanted to do was chat. Right next to subway! Bathrooms aren't that clean and also downstairs so not very accessible.

My favorite downtown watering hole. Love the atmosphere and the service but sometimes they will change something minor on a menu item and it's usually for the worst

We came in very late on a Sunday with a party of 18 and the host took very little time to find us a table. Service was excellent, the waitress was so sweet and took the time to figure out who was splitting bills and who was seperate. Drinks were great and we all loved the shareables and desserts!

Great atmosphere, good food. Little pricey, and service was poor from our particular waiter. Still 5 stars though.

Well it was great until I asked the waitress if the water was free because we saw water on the menu for $3. She said yes but I'll cover the ones you have now (paraphrasing) so our intention was to stay and have many beverages and she could have made a fair bit of cash off of us but after that we got our bill and left. There was no need for the snarkiness and maybe just say bottle water on the menu instead of water-flat

The staff we encountered were super nice and lovely. My husband ordered a dish that was a large meatball on top of spaghetti, and I ordered a butter chicken-like flatbread. While mine was extraordinary, in the same order my husband's was very disappointing and lacklustre. We didn't mind too much though. It was pretty busy so refills took a long time and we had to flag our guy down to get one, but they apologised and were really understanding. All in all, definitely would go again.

Stefania was an amazing hostess and server. She was dealing with a very difficult table beside ours and did so with elegance and composure. After that she was very courteous and chatted with us for a while making sure we were okay. She really went above and beyond expectations. Will definitely come back now.

Peter is absolutely amazing! He was so accommodating and was very helpful of our last minute 25 person party. Thank you so so so much Peter! You are a true life saver!

This place has been my friends and my watering hole for a few years now. Great place to grab a quick drink or bite after work. Can get a little busy though.

This place definitely has potential.as long as the servers are properly trained and/or care a little bit about their job. Loved the fact that there was a large selection of craft beer, but our waitress was somewhat clueless about them. When we asked her what the rotational tap was and what the “funky cans” were, her response was simply “well we have quite a few”. She told us the roatational IPA was a stout and that there was a sour dry-hopped in can.but had no other info on it or even what brewery it was from. Food was okay, caesar (beverage) was bitter and undrinkable. Overall not a great experience, but like I said, it has potential.

Fri Feb 22 REVIEW - BAD SERVICE - BUSY HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT
*WAITED OVER 30 MINUTES AND HAD NO SERVICE*

My boyfriend and I went here on Friday February 22nd as we were going to see the Foreigner in Toronto after. Upon arrival we were seated in a very uncomfortable area that we did not enjoy. We asked our waitress if we could move to the booth that became available beside us and she rudely said - No! - quickly walking away. We were taken back by this, but still held in there. We ordered our drinks and proceeded to wait for them to arrive. 20 minutes passed with still no drinks, still no one sitting in that booth. We asked another waiter walking by if we could move seats, he did the same thing - No! - practically running away after. Another 5 minutes passed so we said screw it, let's sit at this booth and be comfortable (still no waitress in site). Another 10 minutes passed and absolutely nothing but rude comments, shrug offs and no drinks! We had a show to go to so we got up and went to a better restaurant, late for our show mind you.
Would not recommend going to this restaurant, especially during peek hours. I understand they were busy, understaffed, it's Friday night, dinner time, but I would rather go to a restaurant where I am cared for.

Dropped in for lunch and ordered the $12.99 tuna melt. It was the most uninspiring meal I have had in a long time. A small slice of toast with a few lumps of tuna and melted cheese is hardly what one would classify as a tuna melt. Served with moderately warm fries, it was hardly worth the price paid.

The fact that Firkin Pubs have an ugly Home Sense / Ikea inspired, faux British design is another story.

Went for new year's. The staff was attentive and kept track of everything (plus warned us about tipping since it was included #quality). The food was alright, got the stuffed meatball and it wasn't the best. Dessert was good and drinks were decently priced.

Food was good, service was disappointing and slow. Even though we advised that we were needing to go because of the show at the theatre, they didn't seem to care.

Mice pub food right snack downtown on Yonge across from the Eaton's Centre. I recommend the pierogies flatbread and stay away from the wings.

Ive been to many pubs and honestly this place doesn't even deserve to be a pub especially on Yonge st. Only good thing here is the beer but the food is absolutely not worth the money. The nachos tasted stale, the chicken wings are way to over priced and didn't taste great and my girlfriend ordered the fish and chips and she didnt even finish it. I dont know whats up with the batter but they definitely didnt cook the fish, rather they cremated it. The batter was so thick and inside was such a thin piece of haddock that had no taste whatsoever. She let me try a piece and i can tell this is definitely cheap farmed quality fish. You cant taste the ocean so we will both not be returning here. Also i dont know what they have at the end of the restaurant where the employees door is i think its a tv with a video game but its too loud. We couldnt enjoy our meals because these guys were so loud and banging there hands playing and making a loud scene. But yea did i mention the fish and chips was really bad?

I ordered the fish and chips and honestly it was way to over priced for what you get. I dont review much but felt i had to. Stay away

Standard firkin experience mixed in within the hustle and bustle of being near Dundas and Yonge. I found the crowd to be a lot younger than other firkins downtown.

Dont let the renovations fool you. Food isn't that great and prices have gone up since. Wont be returning to this firkin pub. I had the fish and chips and it was very dry and bland. Absolutely horrible

Great place for a quick late night bite. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good and filling. Love the decor.
