First Choice Haircutters

I got my hair done at first choice before Christmas. I also brought my daughter. We had the best stylist I have ever encountered and she will be my go-to for the rest of my life. She knew exactly what to do with my layering and how to handle my daughter who is nonverbal and autistic. My experience with Sheree was exactly what we needed, definitely will be going back and recommending Sheree to all my friends and family.

I frequently left there knowing I could have done a better job. That I paid to have someone butcher my kids hair. It's OK if you're going to get you hair shaved off. Trust me, for the price I've tried to give it chance after chance but we stopped going there for anything other than a shave after a haircut that was so bad my son was in tears and furious with me for taking him back there. The worst part was, she was so confident in her abilities and thought she did an incredible job. I pay $45 + for a haircut now because my son refuses to get his haircut with anyone he doesn't know or trust because of these people. It still bothers me that my kid was traumatized by how awful his haircut was and that woman thought she did us a favor. He wore a hat inside and outside until I paid a barber shop downtown to fix it, the only good thing that came from that experience is we found our barber shop. I tipped that woman too. I feel so stupid for doing it. I figured she needed it.she's not even the worst one there. There was one that is so bad we would wait for her to be busy. She pumps out terrible haircuts all day. She's always ready and available because she just pumps out terrible cut after terrible cut. Don't waste your money. Buy a pair of clipper and some scissors and do it yourself or pay a real barber.

All across the board, no matter who we ended up using, they're all varying degrees of terrible. It's almost worse that they went to school to be able to do this to people and I would have more confidence in a random person on the street. Some cuts were so bad it was almost unbelievable that someone could be employed as a "hairdresser" and do that to people.

Went for my first hair cut in Cobourg. Heather was recommended by a neighbour and she did a great cut, especially for a first visit. Even ran into my neighbour there.
