First Choice Haircutters

Very bad experience with the older lady. Angelo and the lady are fine but the old lady with blonde hair wouldn’t listen to me at all. I told her I wanted to trim what I already had (which was 3 layers and curtain bangs) and she said no that won’t look good and got rid of the u-shape, gave me only 2 layers (not even an inch apart from each other) and my curtain bangs were cut in a straight line until my nose so they looked like badly cut fringe bangs. Kept telling her what I wanted and she wouldn’t listen to me a bit. Rly bad experience, can’t believe I had to pay over 30 dollars to get such a bad haircut, just to get it fixed from someone else.

I recently had a men's haircut here, and I must say, it was a great experience. Angelo, the barber, has an impressive 24 years of experience, which definitely showed in his work. The best part was the price, as they charged a reasonable $30, including taxes.
While it might not be the go-to place for those seeking a fancy haircut, if you're looking for a skilled barber who can deliver a great regular haircut, it is definitely worth a visit.

Overall we had an okay experience. The staff were kind and pleasant.

However, when it comes to the actual cutting of hair, my daughter has a lot of thin wavy hair and wanted a short cut. Our hairdresser, Angelo, started combing (with a thin comb) and cutting her hair as he went. Brushing the whole head of hair and then cutting would have been more logical to me. She was shy to say anything during the cutting, but left very tense and upset with all the hair tugging and rough handling.: (

My niece got a cut from Elena. She did a good job but couldn’t understand some of what I was saying. She left her hair wet after the cut and fluff dried it only when I asked. I think hair needs to be dried after cutting if it still wet. Not styled, but dried.

I was going to leave the screen, big long review about his hair, cutting place and how disappointed I was in the service it is what it is you’re going to get a haircut at 4: 30 and they close at 6 o’clock and they’re older people Cetera very irritated by absolutely anything and the end result was a very unsatisfied customer. I’m on my way to buy a hat.

Since I moved farther from this location, I've tried other stylists. No stylist compares to Angelo. He's now been my stylist for 20 years and counting. Same story with my son's hair: my son will be one of Angelo's long time clients as well.

Awesome, I went there looking for a hair cut without appointment. The lady that assisted me there was super nice, I forgot to ask her name. I would gladly recommend the place again.

I have been going to First Choice Bloor St and Kipling for over 30 years. They are friendly, professional and fast.

I had a haircut with Elaina and it is great. However I had specifically requested service from Angelo, but he was too arrogant and didn't agree to cut my hair and didn't respect the fact that there was goodwill for him which he lost.

The corn rolls were amazingly done and I did look better than the bride at the wedding thank you

I went to cut my hair, Elena was there unfortunately, I ended up with a awful cut. She does not know how to cut hair, all she did praise herself and her cut. Seems people who work here have limitations. I can cut better than her.she was so sloppy, careless, no taste or eye for detail. Complete zero. I have so many hair long sticking out.
I have been before to this place, but Elena was the worst. How a company let people like her cut hair? She thinks she deserves better pay, you need to pay clients for missing up with their lady.
I am done with this company this location or any location. Mediocricy is their motto!
