First Choice Haircutters

Worst haircut I have ever had done. I have long hair and it’s thick. I asked for a cut and layers. She took off about double the length I wanted. She also did not layer it correctly and my hair looks like a triangle. I told her and she said when you style it, it will look good. This salon has very low skilled staff. Please avoid.

I had a great experience getting my hair dyed by the store manager Joanne. A nice cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. Recommend getting all your hair and styling needs done at this location!

I have just came to the Bronte location today as always Joanne my hairstylist is out of this world and would not have anybody touch my hair I was a little bit disturbed but when I happened to notice and look around the facility that there was cameras looking at me I didn't see any sign posted that these cameras would be active and checking. I wish Joanne the best at her new location

I had recieved a haircut a few days ago and absolutely loved my hair! There are new employees and the workers are so sweet and accomadating. After my hair cut, I had gone home and realized that I wished I cut my bangs a bit shorter and came back the next day. The hairdresser was so utterly sweet in helping me perfect my vision and did everything afterwards free of charge!

Horrible service, Joanne on Wednesday afternoon left my sister in tears due to harsh, rude comments about her hair health and appearance. Ruined our day.

I went here to get a haircut and Malalay was excellent! She recommended a style based on my hair type and it turned out amazing. I also wear a hijab and she was able to cut my hair in the back, where no men would be able to see.

Would definitely recommend her!

The staff are all super friendly and skillful. I always leave with a great experience.

Update: 2023 Just took my 5yr old daughter here and they treated her very well and her cut was completed to our expectations.

Horrible customer service, I brought a client (elderly and disabled) at 535pm (closes at 6 1 client ahead of ny client that I support, and she was turned away. The whole hair cut would have taken 7mins max and she barely has any hair as it is. Will never ever take my elderly clients there again.

My experience at this location has always been good. Bhawana has been excellent for me. I have never trusted anyone for my haircut but I took a chance with her and was very happy with the outcome. I have been going to her ever since. She also does a great job with my hair colour. Never disappoints. I think what I like about her most is her friendly nature and patience thru the process.

If you're looking for a place to get your haircut and immediately need to go pay someone else to fix said haircut. Then this is the place for you. Only thing needed was a trim on the sides and the back along my hairline and she can't even pull that off. No clippers, not straight at all, just a nightmare every time. Their 0 for 3 now and I'm done giving them the benefit that it was a one off, because it's not and never is.

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. If you see this place, run as fast as you can in the OPPOSITE direction. I went here for a haircut while my mum went for hairstyling. There was this NEPALI girl who helped us both out (nothing against Nepal; I just dont remember her name).
SHE MESSED MY HAIR UP SO BAD THAT. I HAD TO GO HOME AND BUZZ CUT MYSELF BECAUSE SHE DIDNT KNOW HOW TO CUT HAIR AT ALL THEY HIRE JUST ABOUT ANYONE LOOKING FOR JOB - YOU DONT EVEN NEED PRIOR EXPERIENCE. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE HAIR, YOU WILL BE HIRED. SHE HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASK ME IF MY HAIRCUT WAS GOOD AFTERWARDS AS WELL.
Thanks for ruining my entire day, week, and 6 MONTHS OF MY LIFE TO GROW MY HAIRBACK.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. I WENT TO THIS PLACE 4 YEAR AGO AND WAS DISSAPOINTED THEN.
I DON'T KNOW WHY I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT THIS TIME. BHAWANA gave me highlights they were terrible, very uneven and after a couple of washes it actually turned green with patches of orange. I'm sure I could have done a better job on my own. When I called to express my dissapointment I was told to wash my hair with DAWN DISH SOAP.
YES, THAT'S RIGHT (DAWN DISH SOAP WILL COLOUR CORRECT IT) I WAS TOLD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THE MANAGEMENT WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME. Bhawana is a nice lady BUT SORRY she just didn't do a good job. We pay too much for these services to be dissatisfied. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Bhavna did a great job on my cut and colour! I was very pleased with the result - It was exactly how I wanted it! She is intuitive in getting a sense of what you prefer, meticulous in her work and is very friendly! Thank you!

I went to this salon in September to get my 11 year old’s haircut. After the haircut was done, I saw the hair was barely cut not short enough and requested the person (an Arabic guy) to shorten it more. He very rudely said if you want me to shorten it further you have to pay for another haircut. Further, he said you were sitting all the time and looking here why didn’t you tell before. He was very rude. I felt bad in front of my kids. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a business in Canada. Would never recommend it to anyone….

I went to first choice hair cutters and I did my hair with Bhawana and she was very nice and very creative she also cut the hair the at I wanted I would definitely go to her.

My first time at First choice went there to get a perm, Bhawana is the one that assisted me amazing lady friendly and respectful great service and I love the perm results, Definitely coming back
