First Choice Haircutters

Had a great experience at first choice! Laura did a great job on my haircut and I will definitely be back. Price was more than reasonable and my hair looks exactly how I wanted it.

Warm and inviting. Laura is great. She takes her time and really enjoys making sure her customers are satisfied.

Rada is a very talented hairstylist, she has magical hands.
Definitely she will be always my first choice hairstylist.

I’ve been a client of this location for over 10 years and my usual stylist doesnt work there anymore, so I tried a new stylist in January.

The haircut I got in January was so short And cut unevenly. I don’t like to complain or comment because I am not a professional and I trust that the stylist knows what they are doing.

I started growing my hair out and it was growing unevenly. I gave the salon a 2nd chance today and asked the stylist to make the bottom of the hair even. I said several times that I’m growing out my hair and she said, you want short layers, I kept saying no. The manager had to explain to her what I was asking for. The stylist kept cutting my hair unevenly and had to keep cutting to correct her mistakes. The manager went over a few times to show her the mistakes, now I lost about 3 inches of hair. To top it off she used thinning shears. Now I’m starting back at ground zero. I gave them several chances but they lost their good stylists and for $40, I’d rather spend the money to a professional with experience.

I have a different hair cut on either side of my head. Even though I pointed it out several times it wasn't fixed. I am giving 2 stars because each side of my head looks ok. I just would like them to look the same. I have settled for a meh cut in the past when it was 20 - 24 bucks, but now that it is almost 40 bucks, I will pay the extra to have my hair cut properly going forward.

I had a haircut yesterday by an Asian fellow (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name). I would definitely go back to him. I have a very sensitive scalp and going to the hairdresser was quite painful at times - even leaving with tears in my eyes. I explained my issue and this guy was so gentle I swear I could have fallen asleep. I will definitely go back to this salon. And my hair looks great! Thank you.

Rada has been cutting my hair for a very long time and I followed her to First Choice. She is consistent professional and always does a great job cutting my hair. They are very lucky to have her as an employee.

10 STAR SERVICE BY RADA! Nobody can do my blonde color in 1 go on black hair - but Rada proved it wrong. She knows what she’s doing, she is very attentive, knowledgeable, kind and friendly I’ve finally found my hairstylist and will recommend friends as well. Amazing Amazing job Rada! Ashley did a great job on my hair, It was really short she did the best she could and said that she will be able to make it look even better next time i come in once it grows out more. I also love the colour and so did my husband. Thank you Ashley.

I had a bad experience at another location and didn’t feel comfortable there so I walked out and while I was in my car I decided to call the Ogilvie location, they told me to come right in that they would take care of me. When I walked in Rada greeted me at the door and told me to relax that she would take care of me. She was so lovely and so professional, I had so many questions, she took her time to explain everything to me until I felt comfortable.
Rada is amazing, I’m so happy I found her. She did exactly what I wanted and trimmed my bangs just so perfect. I’ve already booked my next colour.

I like this location on Ogilvie, everyone is good. Lisa is excellent with customer service and highly skilled with hair cut and highlights.

I have nothing but good to say about my experience at First Choice on Ogilvie Road. I had been going to another salon until my stylist left. I decided to try First Choice and was greeted by Rada. She was gracious, polite and happy to serve me. I was somewhat nervous given it was my first cut with Rada. Well to my delight she gave me an exceptional cut and very quickly I could see her skill and expertise. She moved with the scissors so quickly I was astounded that I could have such a manicured, stylish cut with the speed that her scissors moved through my hair. I have nothing but good to say. Most sincerely I highly recommend and commend Rada.
