We used First rate movers while doing a home Reno project. They were very professional movers that took care to package, move and store our furniture while the Reno was completed. The team at First Rate Movers was awesome! From the moment I reached out to Matt at First Rate for information and a quote, I got a quick response and all the information I could have ever needed. We had so many boxes and the layout of our home made it horrible to move, but the First Rate Movers guys were professional, funny, really nice and seemed really happy to be doing the work they were doing. The team treated our furniture with care and diligently packed and unpacked the truck. They were very receptive to guidance and constantly asked where I wanted things placed in the new house. We had such a great experience using First Rate Movers for our move and I would definitely recommend them. From the start, communication with Matt to get the quote and book the date was easy and clear. Our moving crew were Wes, Zach and Jake and they were super efficient, professional and friendly. They arrived on time, protected everything well and were done faster than expected. We had a lot of big and awkward furniture to move out of a small townhouse and they moved it all with no issues. They also set up everything for us in the new place which was a huge help. It was so nice to get everything moved quickly and with no stress!

I have used First Rate Movers twice: once in 2017 moving from an apartment to a townhouse, and again this year moving from the townhouse to a house. Both times, Matt's teams were punctual, efficient, clean, friendly and very talented at disassembling and reassembling furniture. They're so quick, it's genuinely a wonder to behold watching them work! I've appreciated how they lay down neoprene mats along all pathways so they don't track dirt or leave marks. They know exactly how to load their truck so your things don't shift or break, and not once have I had an item break in their care!

First Rate Movers are the gold standard for professional movers. I have recommended them to all my friends, and I will hire them again the next time I move!

I've moved a lot in my life. First Rate Movers are the best I've used. They were professional, courteous and they work efficiently as a team. They assessed the situation and recommended another professional team to move my piano (which I'm really grateful for).

This is a huge contrast to the previous mover I used (Hercules Moving Company) which was a scam company with dubious ethnics. They damaged a lot of my items, promised payment (I bought insurance) but never paid me back as agreed to.

I would recommend First Rate Movers to anyone and use their service again in the future.

Great team and communication with Matt Guest. I used them before when I bought my first place 10 years ago. Happy to see the quality of service was just as excellent as it was back then. They were fast and even faced with several obstacles (sectional couch that was built inside my old place) they managed to have all the tools are care to get the job done without any damage to the property. This is an excellent company, with great staff. Matt responded by phone within 30 minutes of my online request for an estimate. He worked with my schedule to determine what timeframe would work best for my move. He responded to voicemails. The estimate he gave me was what I paid, and he was totally transparent about pricing. The moving crew were pleasant, professional, and amazingly efficient. (My move was from a 3rd floor walk-up.) Everything was as described on the website and in emails. Many of the crew have worked for the company for 15+ years, which tells you something. Moving is stressful. I highly recommend First Rate Movers for a reliable, trustworthy, and nerve-calming experience.
