Honestly great food, I went here over the summer the bill was somewhat inexpensive around 2400 dollars (US) for 5 people. Taste was excellent and I'm not too sure why the waiters were over the top as their fee was included in the bill. I ended up tipping the waiter and extra 500 dollars (US) as a thank you regardless. Highly recommend

We had a terrible experience at this place.

To begin with, the cheap meal box available on the wall is for take out only. We didn’t know this until we sat at the table. Everything else on the menu was expensive and tasted so so vs.other Cantonese restaurants.

They added the “mandatory” 13% tips to the bill, which we cannot change. We didn’t bring cash. Like other cheap Chinese restaurant, they don’t take credit cards. So we decided to pay using debit card. At the checkout, the server said since you ordered daily special, you have to pay cash. And there is a RBC ATM at the mall. I guess they told this million times to other guests who don’t have cash? And why don’t you say in the beginning when we order the food? I was about to argue with the server but my wife stopped me.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and I won’t come back again.

-Cannot make reservations for weekday morning dimsum
-Insufficient waiters
-social "must try" claypot rice wasn't good-tge rice is undercooked and no crunchy rice at the bottom of the clay pot. However, the cured meats were tasty
-their special "roasted suckling pig" was not even warm and the sin was NOT crunchy!
-cash-only for special sets which was unbeknownst to us; the waiters should have mentioned that at the time of these orders

Went for early bird flat rate dim sum. Tasty food. Har gow and traditional sponge cake were excellent. Tried the truffle har gow which close to $7 ($3 more than regular ones) -they were delicious but not worth the steep price!

First time saw a sink in each individual toilet. Found it a bit confusing.no distinction between men and women washrooms but there's complete privacy.

What is unacceptable is that even though there is a humongous handicapped washroom, the restaurant uses it as storage for mops snd miscellaneous supplies so diners on wheelchairs have no access!

CAUTION! First time here and last. BEWARE! DISHONEST! SCAM! UNTRUSTWORTHY! LIARS! CHEATERS! Our bill was $950 for 6 adults and 1 child. I did some calculations myself when it was time to pay and found that they added the in-house 12% gratuity after tax total which brings the total bill higher than it should. The 12% gratuity should be added before tax so I ended up paying $13 more for the gratuity. 12% before tax gratuity should have been $93 but the gratuity was $105 instead. THIS IS NOT RIGHT! I brought it up to the manager and he offered to return the difference but at this point I said forget it. I should have asked for a copy of the receipt to show it here. They don't even offer a receipt. I guess you have to ask for it. Food was bland and flavorless. Spent $950 total for six adults and 1 child. They don't even accept credit cards, only cash or debit for their high cost bills. So they rip off customers by charging you more and they most likely don't even pay taxes because all their receipts are hand written so they just throw out some receipts for the cash paying customers who end up paying more because they lie and cheat to get more out of you. Very disappointing to say the least. An establishment like this doesn't even take credit cards, receipts are all hand written; very unprofessional. ***If you are paying for the crab and lobster by weight, how can you even trust that you are getting what you pay for because of their DISHONESTY? !? !? ! When they bring out the crab and lobster, they tell you it is a certain weight and my lobsters and crab were over weight for the combo price that is stated on the menu so they charge you the difference which was almost $60 more in my case. The combo I chose was $799 but when they bring out the crab and lobster they will cook for you, how do you know and how can you trust it is what you'll get because they might just switch it to a smaller one before cooking it because my crab dish seemed way smaller than the one they brought out for me. Can't trust this restaurant! Trust me, STAY AWAY!

Food was good, service was decent. I don’t mind the 15% service charge that got added automatically, however, I just found out on the receipt the 15% is after HST.
So you are charging service fees on HST, is this legal?

They have Dim Sum at 20% discount for cash payment before 11: am. The prices have increased almost double from $5.30 (S) to $10.30 (XXL). Tea charge is $2.50/pax. They also automatically includes tip of 13.3% - 15%. Food prices have increased and service/cost were probably incorporated into the pricing. This tipping practice should be more transparent, clear and upfront. GTA areas should stop this practice of tipping and move towards more sustainable self-serve Food Courts.
To satisfy my hungry, I could easily eat BBQ meats on rice for only $9.00 Remember, Dim Sum is more of a light breakfast/snack food that should not cost more than a hour of minimum wage. Seafood will also be a toxic food to eat.

Don't go. This restaurant charged ridiculous tips. We don't mind pay tips but not forced to add on with 15%. We did not ask to sit in private room but restaurant led us sit without telling us to pay 15% tip without good service. The restaurant is empty and l really do not know why sit in room will charge 15% tips. Food was bad. We ordered $338 combo. Menu include Lobster 8 lbs but they said was 8.35 lb and charged $30 a lb which is the most expensive among all Chinese restaurant, even higher than most famous restaurant. Soup is the worst. Menu said it is 燉湯，but it is clear like water. The whole menu nothing was good. Another one chicken. No taste, not tender, it is black color. Overall, l advised with the amount of money spent, you could find other restaurant to go. I cannot deny that 2 years ago, this restaurant was good to go. At that time 8 lbs combo is under $200. Now this restaurant was double the price.

Average Experience, Not Ideal for Small Groups.

I recently visited Fisherman Lobster King and had a mixed experience. While the restaurant is clean and spacious, I found it to be similar to many other Chinese restaurants I've been to. One thing to note is that the staff seemed less inclined to provide assistance when it came to ordering, so it's important to come prepared with knowledge about the menu.

One aspect I appreciated was the great deals available for larger groups of 5 or more. If you're going with a big party, it could be a good option. However, for smaller groups or individuals, the prices may not offer the best value for money. This seems to be a place primarily focused on catering to large crowds, which unfortunately meant that my companion and I were seated in a corner. It would have been nice to have a more central table, considering we only needed space for two people.

One highlight of the meal was the dumplings, although I should mention that the portions were larger than what we are generally used to. If you have a big appetite, this might be a plus for you. The flavors were good, but it would have been helpful if the menu indicated the larger portion sizes for those who prefer smaller servings.

Overall, Fisherman Lobster King is a decent restaurant with a clean and spacious ambiance. However, if you're dining as a small group or looking for value for money, there may be better options available.

We went on a Thursday night. The set dinner tasted so-so. The service was not responsive. When the bill came, two issues were found: 1.a 15% tips, based the after tax amount, was bundled. 2.a 5% charge would be applied if paid by credit card. If the service was good, I would not mind paying even more but it was not the case. To spend $50 per head, I'll go somewhere else next time.

It's expensive and overpriced. It costed $16 for two bbq items rice with very thinly cut bbq pork and few pieces of roasted duck. $21 eggplant shrimp e-noodle with mostly noodle and very few eggplant pieces or shrimps. They add tips into your total for 12% but they calculated the 12% AFTER tax. I wouldn't go again.

Apparently when you spend over $1000 for dinner your water/tea still stays empty for most the meal, food was kinda mid but good portions i guess

We had dinner at fisherman lobster king as my mom told me that they have a good menu and good peking duck compared to the ones that we have always been to (skyview fusion and the one fusion in richmond hill).

The Peking duck was excellent, the skin was very crispy and the wrap that comes with it was very thin which i love. My kids have always been big fan of peking duck and they have no complains on it.

Satisfied with the food we ordered but not the price roasted pig. The pricing of the roasted pig was unreasonable ($68) with the portion we got. We didn't check price before we order food usually, it was partially our own fault. I am comparing to the usual restaurants we go to at which they charge the same portion size for $48. The roasted pig was definitely over priced in my opinion.

We will go back again as food was quite good, but will definitely not order the roasted pig again for dinner.

Dim sum, service and cleanliness are above average, yet not incredible. A bit pricey in the area.

Terrible place. Roast pork was $18 and I don’t mind if the food is good. They did not bring out all my orders until the last minute until we were all done and I couldn’t cancel the order. And they charge tip on it. I got robbed alright. Tons of much better restaurants with much better Chinese food in Toronto for sure.

We had dinner here with some friends, ordered one of the set dinners for 10. It featured the Peking duck and lobster. Duck was okay but lobster Cantonese style was not as tasty as it should. Seemed a bit small for 10 lbs. The other dishes of vegetables with beef, sea cucumber etc was not memorable. Service could have been better, they still expected and wanted a larger tip. Wow!

Had a very nice dinner here. Been a few times for dim sum and this was the first time time dinner. The food was all delicious. The gulu pork was nice and crispy on the exterior and inside was so tender. Would order it again for sure. The chicken and fish were both very tasty. Great dinner experience. I would also recommend their dim sum. Was delicious

The management team needs to have a serious look at (re) training their staff on operating more effectively/efficiently: Communicate; hire more language-capable staff with energy; attend to all, not just their "friends" and/or "VIPs".

**Again, the imposed tips on every bill (not just parties) is NOT cool. This practice in the industry needs to be banned. Tips should be earned, not ROBBED**

I was a little dubious when my mother in law asked us to have dinner at this place knowing that I'm allergic to shellfish.

But what we discovered is this restaurant is quite good with their portion sizes. From the pictures you can see we ordered a Cantonese chow mien, beef with broccoli, Peking duck (two ways), and a sweet and sour pork.

The Peking duck was excellent, I would come back just for that. They are very generous with the second round of duck with tons of lettuce wraps.

The beef with broccoli was a big hit. Beef was very tender and flavorful, broccoli was cooked perfectly - crunchy but soft.

The Cantonese chow mien is nothing to write home about but portion was unbelievable. We had 5 people at the table and barely made a dent in it.

The sweet and sour pork was probably the weakest of the dishes we ordered, nothing special about it and the pork was a little overcooked. Flavor wise was fairly standard.

Overall we liked our experience at Fisherman Lobster King.

Worst restaurant ever. $35 for 1 roasted pigeon. Ended up paying $700 for 10 people. Everything were so disgusting, with preset 13% tips. Are you kidding me? Terrible.

Pretty nice place, good quality and quantity of food, kind of costly tho but nice place to celebrate as a big group.

Sea food galore! Great selection for ala carte to big groups. We came here for the lobster and it didn’t disappoint us. A single lobster could feed a regular belly. It is flavourful that one can’t resist. Highly recommended!

The dim sum was mediocre and the price was too high for the quality of the food I was served. They gave us 2 wrong orders, which was a little unpleasant. The first dish that came out incorrectly, we overlooked it as maybe it was our fault and we marked the wrong dish. The 2nd time it happened we wanted to see the order form to see who is at fault here. They did not comply and mentioned they cannot find it and showed us the receipt on what they have entered. I was not impressed.

The restaurant aesthetics was 10-10! So beautiful with the large round tables and tufted round seating. The restaurant is very open and had many private rooms for your own private functions and parties which I really liked. I love having a secluded room to myself with my friends especially when I'm dining with 4 or more people. There are plenty of seating so walk-ins may be possible without a wait but still make reservations ahead of time especially during the lunch rush or dinner rush.

My friends and I dined here with the owner of the restaurant and my aunt who is the manager of this restaurant as well. We had a very large selection of dim sum dishes including dinner items like the BBQ pork and king crab. It was a wonderful feast with amazing food and amazing company. I'd definitely come back here again with my friends and family.

Hong Kong style lobster was delicious! Razor clams (seasonal) in black bean sauce was absolutely perfect!

Great for large gathering and if you want to have a seafood feast! Definitely a must try. Great experience.

We pre ordered a lobster dinner special for $288 (cash only). Every dish was delicious and even with 6 people we had enough leftovers for another meal for 2 people. The service is amazing and the decor is so fancy. Very clean washrooms too. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys fine Chinese dining.

Ordered food for Chinese New Year. Pick up was a breeze, they were organized, and food is great and reasonably priced! Will definitely go back.

Where can you get admonished for "not ordering our outstanding $68.88 lobster chow mein set meal" for lunch? This is where. I just want some typical Cantonese dimsum, okay? No lectures on value meals, please. Dimsum is good, not out of this world good. Service is bad if you take issue with the admonishing, okay if you can ignore it. 10% service charge automatically included. Décor and seating is weird.

Good portions but nothing amazing. Service was slow and I had to keep reminding them to bring our food. The decor is strange and the last time we went, there was a lady on the stage singing and it was BAD. A huge screen is playing weird Chinese music videos too. It's Oct 31 and somehow there's valentine decor (next to a one way sign) ?

Called in to ask about specials and when I arrived, they refused to honour what I was told over the phone. Servers are hostile.will never return and will tell others to not make the same mistake.

Do NOT come here. It's not even about good or bad food, they're a scam for not serving what's ordered and just make up with excuses and with random stuff served.
Captains aren't responding, and even avoiding inquiries. This place is BS, they don't even qualify as a service, let alone good or bad.

Spare yourselves. Save yourselves money and time. Don't get near this place.

We saw bad reviews, but we decided to give it a try for the benefit of the doubt. We went without much expectations. Place decor was decent, atmosphere was nice. And it all went south from there.

We never had food as bad as this place. Fish tasted like month old marinated can food. Lobster tasted like stinky tofu, with texture that's like rotten tomato.

Service was as bad as the food. Not sure where some of our dishes went and had to confront multiple times. And when the dishes finally came they were nothing like freshly cooked. Auto-adding service charge was a huge minus with such serviceless experience.

At $40+ per person, not worth the food nor the service. Could get superb service and top of the line food at that price range somewhere else. $10 food truck has better food and service.

Overall terrible experience. 3 of the 7 dishes we ordered were not available. The service was far below sub par as the servers were not only ignorant, but rude. Their portions were small of their already mediocre dishes with overly expensive price tags.

Convenient location for good dimsum at Bridlewood mall. Lots of parking. Special one price for SML dimsum dishes before certain time ordered. Inspect check carefully to make sure correct items and prices are charged.and check items ordered and brought to table. Went there 3 times and mistakes wete found in all three times. Also 10% service charge is automatically included in bill. Service needs improvement by staff.

The restaurant is so disorganized, they keep mixing up the dishes, there doesn't appear to be any communication between the waitress and the kitchen. The food is ordinary, and the Peking duck was terrible, it was just a roasted duck. They keep pushing the set menus, probably their money makers, or too confusing for them to cook too many different dishes.

Went there for a late drink with friends and found that they have karaoke after 9: 30. Have been there for dim sum many times since then and several times for dinner, foods are good, friendly service and reasonable price, parking is very convenient. I don't understand why there are unfriendly ratings, I'm trying to be fair cause I myself was in food business all my life before I retired.

Terrible experience. Small portion. Extremely slow service, waited for more than 3 hours for our food. Half of what we ordered from the set menu were replaced without notice. Service was extremely slow. Poor management. Requested to talk to the manager, but got completely ignored.
