Fisher's Your Independent Grocer

I have no option in Beaverton either the the independent for groceries. Their prices are out of the world. I went there with my daughter she bought 5 things and it was over 50.00. I bought a few things and it was over 100.bucks. So sad that the only store in town feels they gouge us seniors.

The entire staff at this location are warm and helpful. The store is always well stocked and clean

"Sale" prices are higher than most stores' regular prices. How does anyone afford to shop here?

Nice supermarket with some prepared foods and deli counter, but I just wanted to grab a sandwich. Ah! Prepared subs. Great! Not so great. I don't want to sound negative as someone obviously lovingly made the sandwich just the way they like it, but whoever that is needs to back WAY off on the margarine, which to my mind isn't needed at all, but this was just over the top. Also, I'm afraid the bun was just that; a bun. In general subs are made with something more closely resembling real bread. If you get the chance, drop by a Metro and check out their Italian paninis, as in actually eat one. Still not top-shelf by any stretch, but eminently more palatable and satisfying. I'm not actually complaining, I just figured that if you're doing this stuff at all you probably want to offer a product that people want to buy more than once. I buy the Metro 4-pack almost daily for lunch working construction. It doesn't cost much more than buying the ingredients and making your own, it saves a ton of time and there's no waste. I can't help thinking it would be just as popular among the working folk of Beaverton l, and it beats the hell out of waiting in line at Subway, which is ultimately an emporium of substandard meats and overpriced pop anyway - and therefore an opportunity.

Ordered a cake for baptism it was beautifully decorated and very moist very happy will order all my cakes from the store

I recently moved to Beaverton and this is now my local grocery store. The big positives are that the store is clean, well staffed (with friendly people) and that there is a great selection of product (produce, meat and dairy).

My biggest gripe is that their prices are high, I'm not sure how much higher in comparison to big box stores but noticeably higher bearing in mind that their closest competition is 30+ minutes away in Keswick or Orillia.

Other than that, I'll continue to do my odds and ends shopping here but I'll leave the big shopping trips for when I go to town.

I went there on a Saturday when they were supposed to be open until 9 pm. But they closed at 7 pm. Wasted trip!

It’s convenient for cottage travellers. But their prices are consistently higher than other grocery stores. Bos Independent in Port Perry for example, is more fair and they are the same chain.

Quality of food and staff are great. But gouge on prices.they know they can charge more for the convenience of being the only grocery store in town.which is such a shame. I unfortunately drive to do my big weekly shop in either orillia or keswick cause it saves me $80-$100 on my bill. I’ll only go here for little odds and ends. I know people in town who do the same.make prices more fair and you will have more shoppers.

Bought Ontario peaches for a more reasonable price than we can get them in Niagara. They are delicious.

Tried the online ordering to save some time. Spent half an hour with support. May as well have gone to the store and picked up my own order. Maybe I can place my order in the next hour, maybe not. At any rate it's a fail.

It was a nice and easy stop with the lights I found it to be a perfect place when you are on route in-between family and home.

Extremely disappointed in Fisher's Independent Grocery Store in Beaverton. Not only do they price gouge but now they have installed self checkout limiting regular checkouts to 3 at dinner hour and busy times of day not to mention the jobs that they have taken away from students.
Your customers deserve better service and appreciation for supporting your store!

Pesidents choice products so.etimes items are old or expired so you need to be careful but, it is very clean has a wide selection and the staff is generally friendly.

Great hometown grocery store - Russell and his staff are friendly and working towards ensuring there is a selection for all.

Awesome Service and beautiful neat and clean Store. This is the only store in our town which has almost everything available. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great staff, decent selection most of the time and that's the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star. They severely price gouge. They are the only grocery store in town and take full advantage of this. For example. 2 weeks ago $9.99 for a 4lb bag of gala apples. 20 mins from here No Frills sold same bag for $5.99. I only go here now when I need a couple things or there's a sale on something. Even with the high price of gas it's worth going to a different town for a full grocery shop.

I am a bias to write this review because was one of very rare places I could find Greek olives stuffed with blue cheese, have been looking for them for years.
Besides that the store I’d very spacious. The ready to eat food is really good. Great variety of fish and seafood.
This store is more expensive the a regular local grocery place.
But you do find things that you normally don’t somewhere else. Good gluten-free free options in the bakery area.
Very friendly staffs.

Just please. ALWAYS check the expiration date. We did find some item that would expired in the same day mixed with item that would expired 2 months after.
They usually add a 50% price off tag but a lot of time they miss it.

Close to the store you will have a mobile gas station, subway, and others.

I haven’t seen this place in the summer yet, but so far, store is really clean. Not crazy busy and 99% of the time they have all the items.

Living in Beaverton Fisher's is great for convenience's sake and they have a lot of specialty goods you can't get at other areas retailers. That said, they were on the pricey side before inflation started ramping up, and since then they have become downright expensive. It's a good place to grab things for a single meal or if you need something unusual but if you're doing your family shipping for the week, it's going to be costly. That said, can't fault the staff at all, always helpful and friendly.

This place is a good place to shop friendly people fast cash out just a little over priced unless you hit up sales days otherwise close to home and a one stop shop between Toronto and cottage County

Large variety. Fresh food products. Ease of finding what you need with provided signage.
Also provides a great spot to pick up online ordered photos.
Staff are very friendly.

Have purchased meat at this store three times over the past year. Each time, when we get home and open the package, the meat has a slimey film and smells rotten! Will NOT be purchasing meat from this store again!

The pharmacy carries everything we need and the prices are often cheaper than the drugstores. Jayne's the best!

This is place for cottage goers. Everything you need at an overprice. Convenient somewhat but no good buys. Head to orillia to get grocerices. Head here if you want to be overcharged.

Bathroom was gross looks like they don't clean it regularly also food prices seemed high compared to other stores not overly impressed thumbs down

The staff were friendly and quick. The food was good not exceptional. Lots of choice on the menu. Outdoor seating only caused a small wait.

I found this grocery store rather expensive compared with the no frills I usually go to. I did not even find some of the stuff I was looking for that should be at the drugstore and grocery store. I did not find the staff too knowledgeable on location of products and they just point me in a general direction and said it should be down there. That may be fine for some people but I am visually handicapped with one leg so I think they should have helped me a little more than they did.

I really like this little store. Great selection and variety for a small store.
I use an electric wheelchair and can't operate it AND push a shopping cart one handed. Normally I use a basket but since COVID they've quit offering them. So they assigned me a 'shopping helper' young man. He knew where everything in the store was so it was efficient. He even helped me to pack it in my car.

The cashier's are always very nice and polite. Its had to get polite people anymore. I love going there. I should say all the employees are very nice and polite including the gentleman that counts how many people coming and going. A great place to shop.

Very nice layout with wide aisles and the signs up high on the wall so you can see all the sections from everywhere. They also had the PC Financial ATM there. This store has the express shopping kiosk where you can order online and just pick up your box.

Always a great shopping experience, the staff are very personable, the product is always neat and tidy, I don't have a bad thing to say about this establishment

Won't buy meat products from any where else, always fresh and clean looking and they usually have great sales on meat products, the store is always clean and tidy

. Four stars but the prices.really give me a pain. Asian style food mart might be better never mind the furniture and the fad items

Good selection but the prices are higher than most and pure thievery on summer weekend when city folk flood the store.

Very clean store, Fabulous customer service. In my experience the young girl in the bakery went above and beyond for me during a busy long weekend! I will definitely go back

This place is large, bright, and clean. It's got just about anything you can pull out of your head. Not the cheapest place, that's for sure, but when there's zero competition, you can charge whatever you like and the 416rs will pay it.

Not a bad store, they have everything your typical grocery store would have. It does get busy on weekends due to the cottagers that come in from Toronto and the GTA. They do seem to run out of stuff and struggle to restock.

Shelves constantly empty, since covid19!
Locals fear, availability, daily line ups for items.
We now travel, kilometers way, to a store, that might have a fully stocked shelves.
Staff turn over is constant? I think I understand.

Until recently they had a security guard outside, now it's just a random employee. No one working is wearing a mask. Half the store is people travelling, almost none of them wearing masks either. At the beginning of they were very diligent, but the past few weeks it seems they have gotten very lax.

Wouldn't recommend arriving later in the evening. They appear to only keep one cash open to serve. Management appears to be a concern here.

Good clean place. Prices are reasonable. Should have more than one line for cash. Needs signs more distinctive for witch is what. I didn't notice them when walking up. Other than that all good friendly service

Rude cashier accusing me of "emptying the shelves" because I wanted to buy 3 packages of Riccola for my cold. Wouldn't let me buy them, I didn't want to argue. Won't be going back.

I really appreciate the extra rigor to safety they are taking during the pandemic. Far better than most grocery stores in the greater area.

Well stocked. Twenty minutes to get in and only one family member at a time. Garden center was no where near as well stocked as in last years. No tomato plants.

Very friendly service and product selection was also very decent, with prices a bit high although not too surprising for a Your Independent Grocer chain. The only issue I had was that the cashier at the check-out did not notice that there was an odd error message when she scanned my PC Express card and so I didn't end up getting my points without making a point inquiry, which meant extra work for me. All-in-all though, I'd return to this venue, especially with the friendly security guard who was full of jokes

Always friendly staff and well organized, prices a little high but they are in alot of areas right now, they are doing a great job now with Covid going on, could not ask for more in these times. Keep up the great work.

Take each thing you'd buy anywhere that's twenty minutes away and basically add a dollar to it. A can of spaghetti-ohs for over $2. Iceberg lettuce at 3.50, etc.big pusher of quantity discounts (usually in 3's) and you have to buy the specified quantity to get the discount (which amounts to normal prices per unit elsewhere anyways)
Total of 6-8 people who work here are full time and have benefits, nobody else does. Non union store. Prices stayed low until other local grocer went out of business trying to compete. Does carry some local things. Has pharmacy services in site, as well as tobacco and lottery. Hmr department has a good selection before 6pm.

My compliments to the management and staff for doing a super job during our current health situation. The line up moves quickly to get into the store, the aisles are marked for our protection & the cashiers are doing a great job at checking out customers very quickly. Thank you.

Clean and friendly. Always loved shopping at this store but had a very unpleasant experience today. My husband and I stopped by the store to pick up a few items. We were told that only one person was allowed in. I explained that we are seniors and neither of us could shop alone.
The guard just pointed to the sign on the window and walked away. Is there anything called
" discretion "? We had already been there for 5.minutes and as we walked up to the marked areas we saw the sign. Needless to say we left.

We used the online ordering and and curbside pickup at Fishers in Beaverton today. This experience was first rate and the person who brought out our groceries and placed them in our car was very careful and courteous. Highly recommend this.especially in these trying times. I figured it out. Everything, ever item costs $2 more than anywhere else. Exceptions are meat and fish specials. So, if you need just a few things buy here. Anything more go elsewhere and even with gas etc you will be way ahead.

Great variety of items. Nice Joe fresh clothing too. Wonderful produce section. Lots of seasonal local produce.

Selection is ok, but nothing to write home about. Produce section is a let down and overall they could stand to clean their store. Feels a tad on the 'scungy' side.

Would shop here if I had to, but would rather not.

Has everything you need and conveniently off highway 12. I also always find deals in their home section.

Juicy jumbos all beef advertised on freezer as 2.99. Bought 3 packs. On way home was adding things up in my head and it didn't seem right. So I pulled over and looked at receipt. I was charged 9.99 per pack. I went back and told customer service and was told the small packs were 2.99. After I got my money back, I went into the store to see if I was mistaken.nope. Advertised as juicy jumbos all beef at 2.99 and no other description. How many people got home to find out they had been cheated.shame on you independent for deceiving people like that

I arrive at the store ten minutes before closing to get diapers for our baby and was meet at the door and rudely told that they were close and I pointed out that I had ten min and the employee thought it was funny. I phoned the owner how did nothing about it or did he offered me anything for my miss treatment

We came all the from sault ste marie and going to visit my family along the way we decided to stop by and get some ice cream and looking for a cone, i saw a tall guy who works at the Coke section i ask him nicely and friendly with him, would u mind to ask where can i find the Cones? (FYI i am not from ur place so idont go or know ur store much) and im supprised with his answer. “YOU KNOW IM WORKING AT THE COKE SECTION” and i dont know. Goodluck to that guy.goodbless u
