Awesome service with very knowable staff that are friendly. I have been purchasing equipment at this store over the last year. I have nothing but good things to say.

Shopping online was easy. At the store service was courteous and quick. Happy to have found them.

Wow great shop. Specifically the dude that was working tonight, Noah. We were running late planning to pick up our web order on our way north to the cottage. Called and Noah agreed to stay late after close to make sure we could pick it up still. Great service.

Oh and by the way the "Cardio Pump Set" is a phenomenal value for anyone that wants to do Body Pump or similar workouts from home. At the time I got it, it was about fifty bucks cheaper than Amazon for the exact same product.

Excellent store with extremely helpfull staff. Bought a power rack and weight lifting equipment from this store at very low prices. Support local stores and buy here.

I am shocked at the level of service. Ruben was of amazing help, very clear and continuous communication, and an absolute gentleman. I would recommend to anyone looking for high end equipment.

I placed an online order and only regretted the entire process.

They withheld my order because the billing and shipping address were different. No attempt was made to inform me of this matter. I have to follow-up on the shipping status.

I received a bench missing washers, a rip in the upholstery, and a significant amount of damage to the powder coating. It took several days for them to get back to me with a laughable 10% discount with NO OPTIONS FOR A REPLACEMENT. Given the extent of the damage this was very unacceptable. I had to plead my case several times to get a marginally better discount. When they finally issued this partial refund, they did not even refund the associated taxes.

If you're looking for a good product and a company that stands behind their products shop elsewhere!

Super easy way to buy a new set of dumbbells! Prices were amazing, and way cheaper than anywhere else I had looked. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely buy more gym equipment from here in the future!

Went in the store to pick up an item I'd purchased online. I was pleased with my experience. The associate was very knowledgeable & helpful. I purchased additional products while I was there.

I was prepared to leave a negative review but Fitness Avenue Barrie’s customer service changed everything.

We encountered a situation where the store was closed when we were told over the phone that it was open. We had driven over an hour to get to that store and we were very upset to find it closed. I left an email with the Fitness Avenue customer service and within a day or so a gentleman got back to me. I wish I had gotten his name but he was very kind and understanding and offered us a really great solution to compensate us. I was very impressed by their service and as a result would recommend them!

The product itself was also amazing quality. It was foam gym floors with a wood pattern and it’s so comfortable and looks beautiful.

Picked up the sit up board yesterday. Excellent value ($199) for the price. Obviously not for a commercial gym but perfect for home use.

Fitness Avenue is my favorite place to buy gym equipment. The owner is nice and knowledgeable. The prices are good as well. Lots of equipment to chose from. It's a great place. You won't be disappointed.

This store has no customer service. Placed an order on Jan 25/22, still waiting for it to even ship.
Called can't get anyone on the phone? Emailed no response? They were sure to collect my payment, but not too fast on shipping, or providing any customer service. Lucky I paid with PayPal, I can still get my funds back! Going to go back to AMAZON at least they have customer service, and ship Canada wide within a week.

Organized, with good selection of quality equipment. I wouldn’t waste time trying to find deals on power racks from FB marketplace or anywhere online. Take it from someone who recently went through all that trouble, this place has the best value around.

Shamus and Colin are terrific. Answered all my questions and made suggestions as to what they thought might be the best pieces of equipment for me. Fitness Avenue is my first choice for gear! Keep up the great work, boys!

I walked into the Avenue Fitness in Barrie and had a very good experience. Super clean, well stocked and got an answer to any questions I asked. If only other retailers used that basic formula, shopping would always have this same positive experience.
Purchased a weight stack cable machine.
Impressed with the quality design and materials at a great price point.
Topping on the cake was the sales person (his name is“Shaemus”). No pressure and didn’t waste your time talking about unrelated stories.
My “go to place” for all things fitness.

Colin was especially helpful with helping me find the correct resistance band. Could tell that he takes fitness very serious. Great service and physique.

Professional, clean, easy to shop, organized positioning of the different equipment and Accessories. The Salesperson or perhaps he was the Owner was exemplary in his knowledge and courtesy. Great experience, great equipment, great pricing.

We only wished we knew Earlier, but now that we have found fitness Avenue it will be our ‘Go-to’

First off.let me say how happy I am that we can actually purchase equipment inside of a store again, and not have to deal with those outrageous shipping costs.

I initially went into the Barrie store in order to pick up a couple of 10 pound olympic plates.nothing major. But, somehow I ended up leaving with a seated preacher bench a couple of extra 25 pound plates.and my little 10s.

Great customer service from Shaemus who was attentive and diligent, while I floundered about yet again adding to my home gym.

Great place to shop for all your quality gym equipment.

Aside from the fact that it is so refreshing to actually go into a store The customer service from the staff was absolutely fantastic. I'm quite impressed with the selection, quality and prices at this store and so I will continue to give them my business moving forward with future purchases.

Ordered pretty much an entire gym, everything was at my door in less than 3 days. Will be using them again, the prices were unmatched.

Customer service is non existent. If you are lucky enough to get a reply it won't be a helpful one.

The service is the worse ever no communication and plus their prices have doubled and tripled in the last year very sad business practices to gouge people because of lock down and demand

Fitness Avenue's customer service is beyond inept, it's contemptuous.

For my first order back in March, they didn't have everything in stock, and emailed me to tell me as much. I asked them to call me and tell me which plates they did have so I could make a substitution. Nobody bothered to respond and they shipped it incomplete.

Next I placed an order for more expensive bumper plates, and followed up immediately with an email to ask whether they were in stock. I waited two weeks with no response, so I emailed their main info@ address to cancel the order. I ordered plates from a competitor instead. Another 2 weeks later, they replied to my original email to tell me the plates are in stock and would be shipping soon, clearly having not gotten to my cancellation email.

The plates arrived later that day because they had actually already shipped. I refused the delivery (since my other plates had already arrived from Ottawa), and Fitness Avenue refused to refund the shipping, and even deducted half the cost of the return shipping from my refund! I paid them a total of $180 in shipping fees and got nothing for it. They told me that to cancel an order I needed to email cancellations@. I even needed to order more stuff from them and asked for store credit as a compromise. What's worse, they take 2-4 weeks TO EVEN ANSWER AN EMAIL. Don't bother calling, they aren't answering.

I contacted them again in October to get warranty replacements for the Amstaff Cable Tower cables which started to come apart after 6 months. First, they needed me to measure the cables and send photos of the ends, because apparently they don't know what cables are needed for their own product. I sent them those photos in October. It is now December 8th and I've sent a third email asking for an update.

I've had a number of friends ask me about gym equipment during the pandemic and I have told all of them to buy from anyone other than Fitness Avenue. If you have a problem with either their products or service, they genuinely cannot be bothered to help. I've yet to have a positive experience on any front with this company, and their 4-star rating on here is mystifying, bordering on suspicious.

If I could go lower on the ratings I would. This is not specific to the Barrie location, but the overall Fitness Avenue company as it exists currently with only online entity.

Product is good, customer service is non-existent.

I've outfitted 3 gyms with items from Fitness Avenue. Until their recent change to online only, everything was peachy.

Through COVID, I understand we're all going through growing pains and hurdles.however, I as a business owner am also under those same growing pains and hurdles and can honestly say my customer service has remained a priority.

In the last year, I've made 4 purchases. Not one of them has gone correct.
1 was leading into COVID, and then when it came time to pick up my product - it wasn't allowed because of COVID. Fine. I can understand. After several months, I became irritated and said to ship it. They ended up not even having my product in stock (likely sold it).

Another order I placed at the beginning of COVID, and after several months, I was able to receive it.but once again, missing products that said in-stock online, and at the time of order.

Order #3.missing hardware, and wrong items sent. I had to purchase the hardware myself to install the items, and was able to have the wrong item corrected BY MYSELF through means of calling in favours from some friends that can weld.
Customer service said they would look into reimbursing me for the hardware costs, but have since gone silent through emails (2 months without a response back so far.). Hardware totals nearly $100, excluding the likely $100-200 welding fee that should have been tacked on.

Order #4: COVID was slowing down, stuff was re-stocking. I ordered the missing pieces from my Order #2. Its been 1 month, and not a single update. No order received, but they gladly took my money.

Phone customer support.even worse! Waste of time. It rings, and then has an auto-hang up feature. Not even an opportunity to leave a voicemail. Handy way of getting around to actually fixing any issues.

Awesome experience overall. Both sales associates could not have been nicer and more supportive throughout the process. I would be happy to recommend anyone looking to build a home gym stop in and give your business to a great company like this.

Staff were friendly, however when I had an issue with my power rack there was nothing they could do. I guess you get what you pay for.

We have purchased our gym equipment here for the last year, and I believe we will continue to do so.

It's a small place, with two floors and a stocked warehouse, I'm pretty sure you can and will walk away with equipment and accessories.

Prices are pretty decent, and the staff is friendly, and knowledgeable.

Try before you buy.

I enjoyed my experience here. I first noticed their adds when searching for used equipment on Kijiji, it popped up EVERY TIME I searched gym equipment. Staff was nice and helpful and the prices were VERY competitive and products seem to be of great quality as I walked out with over 100lbs of mixed weights. I will be back!

I bought the Amstaff DF1191 Lat, core and row machine, the Amstaff fitness squat/bench rack with bench, the 300lb olympic weight set with bar, and all this stuff is super sturdy and top notch in my books, you cant beat the quality for the price of everything, super nice guys to to deal with at the Barrie store, totally recommend this store to everybody looking for quality, price, and good service. My new favourite store!

Just walked in, looked around for weights. Staff was very friendly. Staff didn't just assist me, they offered me a better value product that was on sale I didn't know about. Ended up purchasing 4 Olympic Rubber Wights with grips compared to the steel ones I was intending on purchasing. Great customer service and very happy with the selection and inventory.

Store is clean and they also have a washroom for customers.
This also looks like a wharehouse behind the store where they had additional stock. Would recommend if you don't see it ask.
