Who is giving this place 5 stars? This is probably the most pretentious and overrated place in Guelph! The pizza is of extremely poor quality. Just because it's "wood-fired" doesn't make it good if the ingredients are of inferior quality.and they are! The soup obviously comes from a can and is garnished with leftovers from someone's unfinished plate, which is disgusting. The beer is inferior to that of any local homebrewer. To call this "quality craft beer" is an insult to real craft brewers. If you have any appreciation for food and beer, don't go here; you'll be extremely disappointed.
The beer was really good. I especially liked the training wheels sour; very clean cider with citrus notes. I also had the red hook… good but not my favourite stout. I also really appreciated being able to bring my dog in. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 is the limited food menu. Would come back again.
I really like this place, it’s sheltered and has a back outdoor patio that is simple and effective. They don’t serve food (other than small snacks) but you can order in pizza from the canteen. With that said the loss of stars is truly for the price of beers. For a single pint it is $10, I just went for a couple with a friend and paid a bill of $45 plus tip for four beers… this is pretty exorbitant. The beers are good but that price tag is just too much for us at this point unfortunately.
Great selection of brews, crossing a variety of styles. On the three occasions that I’ve visited, they had new offerings, so that was nice to see. The service was great and knowledgeable. We will return.
Our favourite spot in Guelph! The staff are always pleasant, smiling, and helpful. The beer is excellent and there's a variety for everyone. They're also very accommodating to babies and toddlers. Case in point: their swanky change table fit with wipes and a diaper bin. All around an excellent place. Food is great too!
Wow, was fortunate today to get a detailed tour of Fixed Gear operations. I so enjoyed the knowledge, professionalism and the fact I was asked to come on the tour. Got to try HaTrick. Absolutely delicious. Thanks Mike and did not catch the name of the tour guide, he was great! Can't wait to come on mu schedule!
Friendly staff, including Artie the dog! Amazing atmosphere on the patio with delicious beer and pizza! Bought a 2-4 mix of their craft beers to enjoy at home!
This place is set up to seat a few tables inside and out. Good atmosphere, even better staff. Good selection of beers on tap and too take home in a can. Stop by sometime!
I was referred to this brewery by a friend of mine Pawel Konieczny. I went in to pick up six cans of beer for another friend Rick Gibbons and walked out with 24 cans of beer. The lady that waited on me was fantastic, did a great job on the upsell.
Beautiful new patio. Great selection of beers on tap. Pick a flavor. Our pizza, Drafted was probably the best pizza weve ever had! Delicious! And, great service. Can't wait to go back.
Great experience! We had the option to dine in, pretty covud friendly (no one there) my family and I sat quite spaced out. I had a delicious cherry sour beer which didn't taste like cherry juice at all, highly recommended. Good beer option, not many dark beers though. Cool interior, no food in their beer location, but fun t-shirts, pins and coasters
Out railfanning (train watching) with my son today. Always looking for local craft brews to share with my Pint Pipe & Cross mates. Spotted Fixed Gear and it drew me in. I'm a stout guy, so I picked up Red Hook - FANTASTIC! Thought I would pick up a few hoppy beverages for the mates and settled on Breakaway - also FANTASTIC. That says a lot, considering I'm a guy who "usually" only tips stouts and porters. Looking forward to more Railfanning in Guelph.
Wow so impressed. I order beer from all across Ontario and I have never gotten beer this fast, and yes it tasted delicious. Not to mention the names of the beer are great (Boraccia Italian Lager which means Water Bottle in Italian) goes great with the background of their beers. Will definitely order again, and would recommend to anyone looking for a great locally made brew Great job guys!
When a brewery was opening up in the neighborhood a few years back I just hoped that I liked their beer, because based on the location I'd be a regular visitor. I'm happy to report that their beer is so good that I have to make it a point to try non-Fixed Gear beer from time to time. They are also awesome members of the community, hosting events (pre-covid) such as yoga, bingo and trivia.
The new pizza place at Edinborough and Inkerman is AMAZING, wow, we thought we had died and gone to heaven! Fantastic beer and astoundingly delicious thin-crust pizza with very creative topping combos. I will probably be there at least once a week from now on! Honestly amazing. Fine to sit outside in the fall if you are bundled up.
I woulda looooved a food truck. The beer is good, but that’s not a milkshake IPA. Good selection. I’d like to come back in the summer when the big door is open.
Trackstand APA might be my new favourite beer. Absolutely love the vibe here - everyone is so friendly and chill. Great to have a brewery in the neighborhood!
Absolute chaos. No assigned seating, no hostess. Children and multiple dogs on a Saturday evening in a bar/tasting room/brewery. We stood around for a bit and couldn't even get a seat. People were spreading out at tables with their jackets.
Love Fixed Gear! Cool atmosphere, great vibe, and friendly staff. Has a neighbourhood feel to it, which I love, as it is not pretentious. Two thumbs up for the beer (my favourites are the cherry sour and pilsner). Food truck is an awesome touch, and rotates restaurants. Children and well behaved dogs are welcome, which again, goes in line with the neighbourhood feel. Great place to grab a quick beer or hang out and socialize. Can also buy cans to go. Wonderful addition to Guelph and Guelph's beer scene.
Such a great night @ fixed gear! We hosted a client appreciation night here tonight and had 50+ people here. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was warm and friendly. It feels like you're at a friend's place for a drink. Definitely recommend!
Went here to kick off our work Christmas party, I immediately regretted not knowing about this place earlier. Every beer I tried was extremely good, the staff was great, very friendly and easy to talk to, definately my new favorite brewery in guelph. I hope these guys keep up the good work, I plan on many return visits!
