By far, FK is THE BEST CONSISTENT restaurant (no small feat and the benchmark of excellence) and my favourite restaurant period. I have been dinning for over 10 years from when they were on College. The food, incredible, the service incredible, and if you can believe it, the best steak for a non steak restaurant. I would normally not right a review especially for my favourite restaurant as I do not want to fight for a reservation, however after so many years of patronage and NEVER being disappointed, how could I not.

I went there 2 times with my bf and had an amazing time for both.
We tried different dishes each time, and every single one of those was soooo tasty.

Besides all the staff were friendly and professional.
I was especially impressed by the service from the staff called Stephan (Sorry if I spelled it wrong).
He was in charge of our table on Nov 5th.
He looked very passionate about his work and paid smaller attention to the service, which made our time more memorable.
2nd time when we visited, the table we used was kinda wobbly, but he quickly noticed and fixed it.
It was not the big deal, but I do appreciate how considerable his server was.

We will definitely come back again.

My friends introduced me to this gem and I have been frequently coming to dine here for quite a few years now. The food is exceptional, detail oriented and the flavours are just elevating. The owner and staff are very friendly, appreciative and value you coming back, which makes you feel special. The food is carefully made in house, they even bake their own bread! Standards are held high, that's why you always need a reservation!

Absolutely one of the best places I have ever eaten. Came here for a double birthday celebration with my husband and each bite was perfection. Service was exemplary and personalized and food was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Had a nice midweek meal with friends here. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. They deserve their all the recognition for the food they have been getting for the years. We had all of the steak options and all were uniquely great. The boar tortellini was the groups hands down favourite.

What a special restaurant. We went to FK on Saturday night and it was by far one of my favourite dining experiences in the city. Shawn, Frank, and the rest of the FK team really know how to make their guests feel special, from the way we were treated to the quality of ingredients and the love put into our food - you could really taste it. I would 100% recommend FK to anyone who loves great food and an upscale, homey dining experience. Lobster carbonara was outstanding. FK provider excellent service and food to our party of 12! Highly recommend! Tuna tartar and sirloin steak is incredible. It was extremely organized, and they even prepared name cards for each of the guests so they knew exactly where meals would go. Will definitely be back!

People who racist others never admit they are racist, they call it "it happens". For a better and non racist service at your place, should i come regularly for 13 years and get that "vip" first? Im curious

Have dined at FK a few times and several other times when they were on college street as Franks Kitchen. The staff and knowledgeable and friendly. Willing to talk about the menu and wine list, happy to navigate the options to meet dietary restrictions. Table maintenance was impeccable and food as usual was flawless. Only wish I could be there for meals more often. Always recommend this place to friends, coworkers and cliente without hesitation. Shawn leads the front house staff with grace and professionalism and Frank in the back always sends out beautiful delicious food. Make a reservation and know you’ll be in for a fantastic night out.

From the food to service to decor, everything is perfect! Service is not rushed at all despite being a fine dine restaurant. The French food is amazing with the flavours and presentation of each dish. Been to FK 4 times and each time it's a memorable evening. I highly recommend that you check out this hidden gem on St. Clair West!

Every time I visit, special occasion or not, it is always special. Shawn, Frank and Team are undeniably the best in the business. If you have not been, it is an experience you will not soon forget and you will be making a reservation before you leave to return! I've been to FK numerous times, and have always been met with consummate service and, quite frankly, the best dollar to taste ratio for this type of cuisine in Toronto. Portions are generous. You leave satisfied, which I can't say for too many other fine-dining establishments.

Another fantastic food experience at FK last night. This time the much anticipated tasting menu. Past experience with Chefs tasting menus had us excited and again it was outstanding! At FK the tasting menu, is not a sampling of the dinner menu, it consists of unique off menu items that are so flavourful, creative and visually pleasing. The uniqueness really gives you the sense that the food is being prepared just for you. Thanks to the entire crew for a fun night. See you soon.

Mediocre food and racist management. We were the only Asians in the restaurant and did not get attended to. We waited 40 minutes for someone to come by to ask for desserts while the table beside us (old Caucasian business men) was getting the best treatment of their lives. Disgusting. On a side note, the only thing worth mentioning is the homemade bread. It was really good.

Always an outstanding experience. The food is absolutely among the best you will find in Toronto, full stop. Service is attentive, wine list comprehensive and special. It's a well worth it experience every time.

Awesome experience, the chefs daily baked bread was amazing. The tenderloin was out of this world. Great service, very patient with our indecisiveness!

From the complimentary bread to the starters to the mains, everything was SO delicious! The cocktails were great too. Nice big selection of wine. They ran out of the dessert we wanted but we didn't mind, we were already full. The chef instead gave us some complimentary truffle chocolates at the end, which were yummy! Definitely a must try. Everything on the menu is amazing!

This was our first experience at FK but it won’t be our last. Every dish from the appetizers to the desserts was exquisite. I wish I had the vocabulary of a food critic in order to do justice to the dishes that Frank creates.

Sheer Perfection! I have enjoyed FK many times for personal occasions so when it came time to book an important corporate dinner event for a large group of senior executives I immediately thought of Shawn, Frank and the FK team. And WOW - what a phenomenal experience. Everything was even better than I could have anticipated. My group is not easily impressed, and often surprise me with multiple last minute changes and requests. After the event my group could not stop raving about the beautiful space, incredible food and wine, and the exceptional service. Working with FK is a dream and a must for any event. THANK YOU again to the entire team for exceeding everyone's extremely high expectations, including my own.

Amazing food and drink, plus the proprietors are the loveliest people you'll meet. The true meaning of hospitality. You won't be disappointed.

Not my first time here but the experience was so good I had to make sure to review. The food was amazing. We had the short ribs and the duck risotto and it was cooked to perfection and a pretty decent size! We also got the crab cakes and antipasto plate before hand and they were also very very good. The antipasto plate is all made in house and you can tell, very high quality! Wine and drinks selection is large and inclusive. Atmosphere was relaxed but still classy. The type of place you go to dinner with your fancy inlaws. Also! The staff was amazing, we were running behind because people were coming from out of town but Chris and the floor manager made sure everything went through with enough time for us to enjoy our meal even though we only had an hour and a half 10/10 will go again and will recommend.

Our dinner at FK was excellent! Such lively flavours. We started with the crab cakes which were excellent, as were the champagne lobster risotto and the halibut and clams in tomato bisque. A1 all the way! Thank you Frank and Shawn!

Possibly the best steak you'll ever eat. And the Oysters Rockefeller (when they have them) are easily the best in the GTA. Don't expect a bargain, it is upscale dining, but do expect one of the best meals of your life!

Everything is just perfect. Definitely love the food there and people are very friendly. Wish they have more options for meat lovers. Would go again when they change menus next time.

I do not think words can describe how amazing the food and service are here. The flavors are rich, portions are hearty, and the team is impeccable. Absolutely amazing experience, and a true gem the city has to off for those looking for a culinary delight.

I've been going to this restaurant since they were originally located on College. I keep going back for several reasons as follows in no specific order. It feels like family. Shawn the hostess greets you like you are a long lost friend, she smiles and is genuninly happy to see you. The staff & service is excellent. They are very knowledgeable about their wines/cocktails and the food being served. And the food, my god, the food has alawys been excellent. I have never been disappointed by any of the dishes I have ever had.

I was there with a couple of friends this past Saturday for the early seating. It was the 1st restaurant that I've been to since they reopened, and they did not disappoint.

The level of excellence became even more apparent as later that evening I had to meet friends at another resuarant downtown.

I look forward to going again very soon, as I know, I am guaranteed a great evening.

We have been twice to this restaurant and both times experienced the same rudeness from the owner. Last night the attitude was horrific and immediately brought us back to our experience with her pre-pandemic. Coldness and quite frankly plain old rude!

Food and service was excellent! They had a table on the patio available when we arrived on a Friday evening, and were able to get us seated promptly. Servers were very friendly and helpful, and the dishes we ordered were nicely presented and delicious. Would definitely recommend!

I frequent this marvelous place every couple of days since I enjoy the ambiance that is unique to this restaurant. The team is extremely helpful and experienced. The service is extremely rapid. Not to mention, the food you eat is highly distinguished. I frequent often and I was never disappointed. The cost is modest. I highly suggest this place to to all.

My partner and I ordered our NYE dinner from here. It was a fixed priced menu with a choice of appetizer, main and dessert + a chocolate truffle, oh and some bread, cheese and meat to start for only $85! It was so hard to choose what to eat, so we each picked different things to share.

You place your order via email, which was very easy. My only suggestion would be to have an option to provide your credit card info over the phone.
I did ask, but was advised that all pick-up orders were done via email and to provide the time of the requested pickup, order in full and credit card information to reserve. I know a lot of restaurants were thrown in to the pick-up and delivery options due to Covid and websites are expensive and tie consuming, so maybe there wasn't time or money to put a secure online ordering site together. But just a suggestion for future to be able to call in with the credit card info.

Anyway, back to the delicious part. My home presentation wasn't great, so I won't post a picture, but the food itself was OH. MY. GOD. The portions were perfect, we even had a bit leftover for a snack the next day. The absolute standouts were the truffle ravioli and the beef wellington. We were literally talking about them for days afterwards. The desserts were great too! Some can be so heavy after a rich, meal, but they were the perfect after dinner treat. Not too sweet or heavy.

I cannot wait to order again.

surprised me by ordering an exceptional meal for us. The truffle ravioli and the lobster thermidor were absolutely outstanding! Also, the seafood salad with the cumin dipping sauce and beef wellington were beyond delicious!

We had the ceviche, steak and lamb and every dish was a hit. Portions were small but the prices aren’t crazy so you do get good value. They change up the menu a lot so I’ll be back!

I meet friends in this great restaurant quite often! This is my favorite place to eat. I visit this spot at least once a month. The cooking is fantastic, the staff members are professional and the price is decent. I enjoy going in this spot to have a nice meal.

Had a fabulous every evening dinner with my wife. It was an important dinner, as she is in her first trimester and picked FK for an evening out. George and his entire team made it a meticulous but relaxed evening for both of us. We both enjoyed that the menu is updated often for seasonal favourites, and my wife enjoyed her ginger infused mocktail, which was expertly made by our bartender. Thanks to the entire staff for making it a special evening for us both.

My friend and I first started coming to this restaurant years ago when they were located on College street after reading a glowing review in the newspaper. When they moved to their current location on St. Clair Ave. West, there was no question that we would follow them there. Last night’s dinner was superb, as always. Morel mushrooms are in season and Chef Frank has woven them into a number of dishes including the rib steak I enjoyed last night. The staff are wonderful, the service is impeccable and the cuisine is creative, delicious and memorable. We love this restaurant! Chef Frank and his lovely wife Shawn take great pride in their restaurant and it shows in their staff, the wonderful food and the decor.

I took my wife here for our anniversary as we had booked the tasting menu a few weeks earlier. I can say with complete confidence that the dedication and care by the Chef would put this restaurant in contention for a Michelin star if such accolades were offered in Canada. We were told the chef shopped for the specific ingredients for our tasting menus the same morning and we were very impressed with his fresh and creative dishes. My wife and I have had the pleasure of trying several world class Michelin restaurants around the world including Le Cinq, Per Se, Guy Savoy, Jean Georges, Eleven Madison Park among others so we feel we appreciate and have a decent grasp of good food. And even though one is hard pressed to find any restaurant in Toronto that would qualify for a 2 or 3 Michelin Star rating, if it were my choice I would definitely award this restaurant a solid 1 Michelin star as it compares well to the other excellent 1 Michelin restaurants we have been to. For us, the experience from the bread down to the desert was seamlessly delicious with not one dish we did not enjoy. We would definitely try this restaurant again.

FK is the newest restaurant by the folks that brought us Frank's Kitchen on College. My father and I dined there last night and were beyond impressed. Frank, the chef, continues to deliver exceptional menu offerings using incredibly fresh ingredients and pairing them in exciting ways. We were particularly blown away by the crab salad and lobster thermidore. The pastry chef also WOW-ed us with her yuzu mousse, coconut sorbet, and gorgeously delicate sesame butterflies.
Not only is the food incredible but the new FK space is beautiful. Lighting is on point, the ambiance is airy, feminine and lively.

FK is not just about food, it's the European breeze you feel when sitting in the beautiful cozy restaurant, sipping good wine served by attentive servers, ready to give you the best experience ever.
Of course the incredibly balanced tuna tartare with coconut lime vinaigrette and the unique scallop gremolata dish, perfectly executed and plated, are a dream for the palate and help you getting the impression to be in a French five stars restaurant.

Not only one of the best restaurants in Toronto, one of the best in North America. Seriously. The menu varies, and the food is always fantastic. Various fresh in house baked breads with home made spreads are complimentary as is a small "amuse bouche" before your meal. The owners are a husband and wife team with Frank working his magic in the kitchen and Shawn up front managing the restaurant and taking care of the guests. Staff are super friendly, and the restaurant itself is warm and inviting. It's always a pleasure to go to FK for an outstanding meal.
