This is the best eye docs office I have ever been too. Dr Todd has the best people skills always makes me laugh. And the rest of the staff is just perfect and knows exactly what they are doing. Shirley is so kind and knows what she’s talking about really made me feel good in the frames I was picking and then when I picked them up she already had them sized perfectly no changes were needed. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone seeking help with their eyes

Recently had an issue that was taken very seriously by the clinic when I called in for an exam appointment. Although the clinic was fully booked, the staff got me in within 30 minutes. Dr. Emery was thorough and professional in her examination and determined I needed an appointment with an Ophthalmologist that she booked right away. Within an hour or so, I was seen at Urgent Care in Stoney Creek, who ended up having to do a laser treatment same day. I can't say enough about the responsiveness of the staff and Dr. Emery in getting me immediate care. In addition, the clinic called the next day to make sure I was okay. Highly recommended!

It’s my turn to jump on the “fan wagon”! As a contact lens wearer for 52 years, I was looking for an optometrist who could deliver a superior product and great customer service. All the positive reviews led me here. My expectations were surpassed in spades. The convenient location, business hours, fees, friendly staff and the main reason for my visit, Dr Ruhl, each are worthy of 5*. Todd’s ability to connect with his customers is unsurpassed. My only regret is waiting another year for my next visit!

Professional facility, personable staff, and knowledgeable doctor!

My son and I attended the Flamborough Family Eyecare office this morning; it was my 3 year-old’s first appointment ever.

The facility itself is clean, spacious, and well lit. I do not believe this location is wheelchair accessible though as I did not see a ramp at the front door, but there may be one at the back, so I could be mistaken. Inside, a wide variety of eye-glass selection is on display, if you require such.

Nora, the facility’s secretary, is polite, conversational, and attentive. - She conducted our initial consultation and was patient and friendly with my son.

Dr. Todd Ruhl, the owner and optometrist, is AMAZING with children; he proactively ensured the examination was fun and entertaining for my son by making comical sounds, playing with little finger puppets, turning his ophthalmic chair into a “up and down” ride, and even gave my son some candy at the end - all of which made my son’s first experience extremely stressless and pleasant. Thank you Dr. Ruhl! It is rare to find such a knowledgeable and professional doctor with such bedside manner and care for children!

My examination wasn’t quite as playful - ha! - but equally as pleasant as Dr. Ruhl is quite conversational! Dr. Ruhl has mastered the technique of not making his examinations feel so rigid and clinical, but he rather makes his patients feel welcome via simple conversation while undergoing the exam itself. Additionally, it is evident that Dr. Ruhl cares about getting to know his patients, rather than seeing them as a “paycheque”, as he takes such time to do so; our exams were not rushed and he spent almost an hour with both son and I. - His attentiveness made my son and I feel like valued patients to his practice.

A big thank you to Nora and Dr. Ruhl for making our eye examination experience a great one! We will highly recommend the facility to anyone and everyone!

Dr. Ruhl has been my optometrist for many years. He is excellent in all aspects of his work. He takes all the time needed to address any and all problems you may have. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend him to all ages from children to the elderly.

Amazing eye doctor! Not only do they give you great care, they are also so nice and funny. It’s actually fun to go there. Dr Rulh is so nice and funny! I’ve been going to see him since I was six. It’s a great atmosphere and the staff are amazing!
