Flings Fried Chicken

I have been ordering from this place for many years and was aways good. Last couple times I have been very disappointed. Ordered again tonight and must say I will never order again. 12 pieces if chicken $34.90, large tater $11.99,4 Oz sauce $1.80 delivery fee $5.00 debit surcharge $2.25. Plus $5.00 tip. And what do I get greasy soggy chicken. Wasn't even hot. Taters were okay but the chicken was horrible. Soggy greasy nasty mess

The nostalgia that comes with having flings is like no other. They are consistently delicious and never disappoint. Definitely a small business that has done well for themselves

Best chicken in Windsor by far! Their chicken is so moist and always cooked perfectly. Portions are great for the price. Their hot sauce is a must have with the chicken. The potato wedges are always a generous serving and their potato salad is fantastic. Definitely not from a store bought container! All in all price, quality and portions it's a great dinner for yourself or your entire family. Been coming here for years and finally decided to review. If you haven't tried it yet it's a must!

I don't get the hype about this place. I ordered 12 pieces of the fried chicken. The skin was cooked well and crunchy but the meat was dry with no flavor at all. Just no seasoning at all it tastes like. I'll take a piece of KFC or Popeyes any day over this.

This place is a long-time local Windsor staple! It's always fresh and hot when I order it on skip. My favorite is the chicken strips with hot bbq sauce with the taters and gravy. The taters are AMAZING with the light colored gravy. The cornbread muffins are always fresh and they are delicious. My favorite out of everything is thier pasta salad, I always order a large for myself. The coleslaw and potato salad are great too.

Covid has ended their staff has changed, and its sooo much better here again. Now it has changed owners, but it only tastes slightly different. The staff are great.the one full-time girl is AMAZING!

I got their 5 Nugget lunch deal, they came with so much more food than I was expecting. The potatoes are delicious and the breading has a great taste as well as crisp texture. They also have House made barbecue sauce that pairs perfectly with the chicken and potatoes. Definitely recommend stopping in and giving this place a try

I'm wondering if this establishment is under "New Ownership"? Quality is not there anymore. I've had a lot better than I did tonight. O8/ 2/23

I lived in Windsor for most of my life and since moving away a decade ago, one of things I miss most is the food. In specific flings taters. I'm back for a week and the first stop I made was flings and it did not disappoint. Not only are they exactly as I remember but the service was wonderful and the service person even recommended ways I could save money when ordering in the future. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I've read someone had a disappointing visit recently so I thought I should update my review. This was my review before:
Flings chicken is the best fried chicken and taters in windsor. Don't forget the sauce.
The new flings is just as good if not better customer service. The new manager goes above and beyond to help you with your order, personally serve you your food, and even get to know who you are as a repeat customer.
The food is just as good as it ever was and there's been no change to the recipe. I go atleast once a week. So if anyone knows where I can get help to deal with my crispy chicken problem please message me. Thank you.

Just wanted to share the experience I just had at Flings Fried Chicken
For some reason I had a huge craving for their taters I haven't been there since I was in grade school. So I decided before work to go grab my mom and family some food. Of course i forgot my wallet and it's a 60+ dollar order. I panicked, asked if he accepted e-transfer.anything I live in Tecumseh so going home and grabbing my wallet and making it back on time for work in 30 mins was just not an option. I went back to my car to call my mom to have her come meet us and the owner came out to offer me to take the food with the promise I would come back.someone who's never met me, just recognize that obviously I was stressing out and having my 3-year-old daughter with me. I talked to him briefly about business and how he recently took over from the previous owner of 30+ years, We talked about being parents and how 2-3 year olds are so much fun lol. He asked me to leave a review. I thought maybe by posting this we could get him some new business or anyone else who'd like to leave him a positive review.

I have been eating at flings chicken since I was 18 and I'm now 32 years old. I LOVE their macaroni salad so much! It's very flavourful. My last order came with extras now that is above and beyond amazing service. Their chicken is so good even left over. The mild bbq sauce kind of has a kick, but still delicious. Thank you for existing and providing amazing chicken and macaroni salad <3

This place knows how to do fried chicken. Fried to perfection. The taters were wonderfully made. A great hole-in-the-wall spot with tasty food and super friendly customer service.

Always fast delivery and friendly staff I'm a little disappointed they changed the gravey bust still good

I've ordered from you many times and today was the worst food was so cold and salads were frozen couldn't even eat them.not impressed

I've been going here for a very long time and never had a complaint. Best chicken in the city hands down! Then a new owner came into play, whatever you're doing, keep it up! I still love this place and the new owner is doing everything to keep the same recipe. Don't change a thing. There is a reason why this place has been open for so long and you landed on a gold mine buying his business. Delivery was on point, faster than what was said and food was amazing as always!

I've been going to Flings since 1991. It was food made with love, detail to quality, flavors were always right and unchanged for the 33 years I've been ordering until now. There is absolutely no flavor in the food now. Wings were small and tasty with extra breast meat at the end of the wing. Both Taters and Wings are now flavorless. What happened here new owner? You had a gold mine that was successful for 3 decades and now, you've managed to destroy it in a few months. I won't be ordering anything from you ever again. Very disappointing.
