First time there and went during the afternoon around 2! Absolutely love the atmosphere and vibe of the place! Great food, great prices, and great service. Definitely recommend for a nice drink and a chat during dinner.

I find it very wrong that you respond to all your positive reviews and don’t care about the customers that had a poor experience at you restaurant. Sending an email and even calling and not getting a reply is disgusting.

I highly recommend Fonthill Butcher and Banker! It's the perfect spot for families with kids - ample space for them to run around, and the menu is super flexible, so accommodating special requests is never an issue. The atmosphere is fantastic, the beer is always cold, and it has everything you could want in a great pub.

Rip off with charging us for a mistake that your staff made. The group we were with will never return to this place ever and word of mouth is important as well. No one is replying to the calls and emails made. Fast to take money but slow to never respond to a concern

We were heading to a concert in the park and this was within walking distance. It was recommended by a local. We were not disappointed! My friends chicken Caesar salad wrap was delicious, and the fish and chips was too! The fries were really good and I’m quite a picky Cole slaw girl and it was delicious!

Loved this place. Food was good. Ordered the Stuffed Yorkshire Bowl which was quite good and filling. Will be back to try something else seeing the menu has lots to offer.

Found this place by chance on our way back from Niagara Falls and blew my mind. The food was amazing, everything was so fresh and you could taste the quality. The service was no less impressive. All staff members were kind and professional. Special mention to my server Stephanie, who provided some great recommendations Definitily worth visiting.

The Drag Brunch show was fabulous! The actual food was not remarkable but I will always support any businesses that promote diversity and inclusion.

I decided to stop somewhere new going home from our trip up North. I ordered fish and chips and my wife ordered a regular burger. Fish was great, cooked well. My wife said her burger was pretty good. The fries were ok but the portions for the fish were huge! For our apps we got mozzarella sticks which were delicious and super cheesy. Overall pretty good.

We love the food and drinks here, everything was delicious and the signature cocktails were very fun.

I’m not a difficult person whatsoever but the service here has been terrible every time I’ve been in. Last time I was in for drinks on my birthday, the drinks took forever and there was only 5 of us. And the restaurant was so quiet. Not busy at all. I won’t be back. Friends and family of mine have experienced the same service. It’s too bad since the food is so good here.

Great staff and nice atmosphere, however brought my family here last night for dinner, unfortunately my daughter and myself became sick later that night and both of our meals came back up.

The service is top-notch, can’t say a bad thing about how quick, polite, attentive and fun our waitress Amy was. It literally made our night and that’s the reason for the 4 starts
The food however, was underwhelming. My wife has never sent food back before but her first $25 steak was overcooked. Amy was quick to check and get it recooked right away. I got a beef dip and it was just ok. Like the meat could have been marinated or spiced a little more to give it more flavor and make it a little softer.
We will probably try them again, something different off the menu, because we did have a good time with the nice atmosphere and great service.

Love the atmosphere and the service is always speedy and pleasant. The Food is typical pub style and the menu has lots to choose from. The desserts are what steal the show though. Check out these pictures

It's great to see people out mixing with people again. This is a place with good food and friendly staff where it's nice to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.

I am reluctant to write a bad review, but we were very disappointed with our meal! I ordered the penne with meatballs, and have never had meatballs that were so poorly made. They were basically plain beef that had been rolled up into a meatball, and very dry/tough, and the sauce was tasteless! They definitely were not authentic Italian style. Also we ordered the cauliflower bites, and for $14.00 we got only 6 pieces. Unreal how a whole head of cauliflower is about $2.00, and the amount we had would equal about an eight of a whole cauliflower!

Always have delicious food from here. It’s my daughters favourite restaurant. Staff are friendly and it’s a beautiful place. Thank you for always putting a smile on my daughters face as she never changes her order and they know her when she calls to order the famous Buffalo chicken wrap meal. ️

Food was good, service could improve. No one came around to see how our good was or if we wanted another drink, until our meal was done. Tried it a 2nd time on July 8th 2022 and the food was good for the most part but the French fries were not cooked fully. My husband and I informed the staff of this. Probably won't try it a third time

This establishment is beyond words amazing food which caters to everyone. Amanda is amazing server's are fabulous.they are huge supporters of the LGBTQ+Community and they support #Pride Niagara

We had a wonderful dinner, the food was delicious with a large menu to choose from, the service was top notch from our waitress Vik, very warm, friendly atmosphere! Thanks to Amy & Troy for their hospitality

Food was ok, there were 4 of us and we each ordered something different. We would only grade the food as ok. Waitress was funny though!

My wife and I were here for the first time the other day and had a fantastic meal. My wife's favourite dish is fish tacos and she said these were some of the best she's ever had. We will be returning soon!

Not great, not bad
Arrived for din, 2 adults, space is larger and open. Ordered drinks and an app. Spinach dip had lots of cheese however dip was a tad runny/watery.
Got the Potato and Leek soup and Chicken cesar wrap along with bacon cheddar burger and newfie poutine. Poutine wasn't good. Soup as well not good. Burger ok. Wrap good. Took 3 treats home for dessert. Total with tip $110. Likely won't return but give it a shot. Large expansive (not expensive) menu.

Was really excited to come here today. Ordered the chicken pie with ceaser salad. The Chicken Pie used to be really good. Sadly this is not true anymore with it being drier then the Sahara desert. I brought this up to the 2nd server we had (we had 2 servers) and suggested some sauce that they used to put that they stopped doing. I accepted this but I got it and the sauce was a shell of its former self. Very bland, combined with a dry pie left me to leave most of it for
a later meal if I’m starving. The salad was good however despite the 1st server telling me it was included in the meal, when I got the bill there was a 4 DOLLAR up charge for a small ceaser salad that was never mentioned before. I told the 2nd server that was handling the bill (1st server went home I assume), that a salad would have no extra charge but this was ignored and I was told I must pay the extra 4 dollars. Very unprofessional and lacking empathy. Ended up paying almost 25 dollars alone for an entree before tax for half of a dry pie, bland sauce, and a now overpriced desert. Also had 3 deserts that someone else bought at the table and 2/3 of them tasted like granola bars though the Pumpkin Cheesecake Cupcake was good. Definitely disappointing and I certainly won’t be back.

We had been meaning to try this place, and finally got the opportunity to do so! It was pretty quiet but they were recovering from a busy weekend. Our food was delicious and affordable, our service was quick and informative! It was midday atmosphere so not too loud but still quite friendly! There are so many options on the menu, there is definitely something here for everyone! The cauliflower bites as everywhere else are delish, and the quesadilla was pretty normal and tasty and fresh as well. The pulled pork, mac and cheese was fantastic! And they have a fun assortment of candy cocktails. Definitely a place to return to for sure!

Tonight was our first visit and what a great first impression. We were greeted in a warm friendly manner. Even though we didnt have a reservation, the hostess found us a great table! Our server Renee was so great, it was very busy and Renee was very attentive and everything was served very efficiently! Our Food was delicious! We will definitely return as this place is amazing!

Menu much too large. Tries to be everything to everyone. Would rather see a focus on being a very good British pub with a strong pub menu. Do 8-10 things and do them well instead of 50 things done ok. Pad thai was swimming in sauce. Server seem uninterested. No desire to probe or ask how things were.

Best place ever! Great vibe great serive food must visit if you are ever In Niagara… best place by far to in Fonthill if you are down in Niagara is a perfect Gem!

Exceptional food service drinks and a great vibe!

Went in for a pint and booked it for our parents 60th wedding anniversary, because of the ambiance and the fact that, they were very helpful in all regards, so now I'll have a chance to eat there and review the overall experience.

First time and definitely won't be my last amazing food great selections loved the speciality drink list and wow they were good the dessert selection was such a surprise so many wonderful choices the waitress was very friendly and attentive and the prices for the quality of food and portions was really good keep up the fabulous work your doing

Just went for supper with my wife and inlaws tonight to this wonderful spot! Absolutely amazing food, staff and atmosphere! We will definitely be back! Thank you again!

An excellent locally owned restaurant serving an incredible spread of British fair. The atmosphere is that of an elevated british pub that is warm and inviting. The portion sizing of the food is excellent, not to big, allowing for room to share 1-2 of the delicious desserts amongst the table. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. When ever I have guest In town, I always make sure to bring them here.

This was our first time at the Butcher and Banker but we will definitely be back! The atmosphere is bright, friendly, and inviting. But the real star is the food. We had the Ruben sandwich and the Yorkie and both were delicious! Can't wait to come back for a burger and a pint!

Steep prices for mediocre food. It is essentially run of the mill bar food at double the price of any other pub in Fonthill.

18 dollars for a single piece of breaded Haddock and a handful of from-frozen french fries. My friends were also not impressed with the quality and price of their meals.

One dissapointing highlight included an 11 dollar appetizer. It consisted of one and a half dill pickles, cut into six slices, and overcooked in the deep frier.

The one positive thing I can say is that the atmosphere and feel of the place is pretty spot on. It is cozy and pretty to look at. It did get very loud while we were there however.

It seems like the owners did a poor job researching their competition, or they think their food is a lot better than it actually is. In reality it's overpriced, overcooked, and dissapointing.

Fonthill has far better choices with fairer prices, Butcher and Banker isn't likely to last long unless they change their tune.
