Always so friendly and fast cashiers! Fantastic food prices and watch their flyer for real food deals too!

I prefer the Basics located at Wentworth and Rymal in Hamilton. The store is clean and well stocked. The floor staff are friendly and help you find what you're looking for. I love their hot cooked Maple Lodge chicken. They have Halal and regular. Makes for a delicious dinner at 9.97. I boiled red skinned baby potatoes with pepper and a pat of butter. Instead of a hot veggie side I cut up a vine ripened tomato topped with a dab of ranch dressing. Bought the tomato at Basics.

There is one female employee who is always extremely rude to me and other customers. She has a very bad attitude towards customers I've witnessed it a few times

Colleen the cashier was amazing. She was fun and upbeat as I was checking out then when I was short change for another bag she pulled it from her own pocket. 10/10

I enjoyed this supermarket was not to busy and customer service was available. We visited this week during the crazy sale im hopping there meat prices stay this competitive.

Been a long time since I moved away but the store is fantastic, clean, easy finding things. Same clerk still working there.

HORRIBLE customer service. Will not shop here again. Julia was so rude and would not provide a managers name to talk to. Would not honour flyer prices clearly listed. Wrong prices scan and cashiers do not care.

Important part of the community.offers better prices of course than Metro or RealCan. There are no frills in this store, but you understand why.

Good selection, produce quality is usually decent and pricing is fair. Overall a nice discount supermarket with friendly staff and good layout.

I like going to FOOD BASIC simply because it's never busy. They obviously don't have the
Square footage that other major stores have.
Great prices, easy to find products. The staff
can be a little more friendly. The times are getting tougher, so saving money is key.

No fresh mushrooms or Daikon. Spinach bunches wilted. Large watermelon a better deal than the mini ones at entrance as well as large bunch of basil in aisle as opposed to refrigerated small packages. Only 1 cash register open so wait time can be long.

Produce manager has no clue. And still he has no clue. Again witnessed him talking to a customer very rudely

Good, clean store and friendly staff. Some patrons going the wrong way in clearly marked aisles but no enforcement. Had to dig through product in meat aisle due to being past "Best before date".
