Food Basics

Basic grocery store, great for budget-conscious shoppers. Not a huge selection of items, but covers the essentials. Clean store, friendly staff, and savings make it a good choice for everyday stuff. Not my first choice for meat, but produce is usually pretty on spot.

A million times cleaner and better quality than the other Food Basics in the area. The staff and other shoppers were much more friendly. Overall a much better shopping experience, I'm shopping at this location from now on.

Great prices and deals but if you wait too long it's welcome to empty shelves here or lucky to get the last one. As usual things just fly off the shelves, really great deals here! Great place for groceries.

Been awhile since I shopped here but it's actually pretty good. Better then years ago.

To the Chairman of the Board of the Metro, Loblaws and Empire food chain. I am deeply sorry how you have been treated by our Members of Parliament and Leaders of the Offical Political Party's in Canada. Scaring the public on food prices. When you laboured through the pandemic and kept us safe and our food source safe. Im attaching a picture of Tuna on sale for. 99 cents at Food Basic's in Tecumseh, Ontario. I remember a young Mike Harris Government in Ontario reminding us to shop around and getting cans of Tuna for. 99 cents. I remember 47 years ago when sugar spiked to a price higher then the price of Gold. Please understand the public stand behind you. These Politicians should do their job. I smell the winds of 1929 and they will fall at their feet as they try to mislead us. Keep up the great job my fellow grocers. You are Canada proud!

This store is a complete mess. 3 of the items I came for were out of stock.
Shelves are in disarray with products scattered all over. No organization. Hopefully today is just a bad day

I love this food basics location the staff is very nice and the store is always clean. They have good deals on products and a lot of parking close to Dollarama shoppers drug Mart and Canadian Tire.

Lots of products and good pricing on many items. Some nice specials every day.

Several international products can be found as well.

As with a growing number of stores, don't forget to bring your own bags.

Great location nice and clean.
Never have a problem here.
But would love you guys to stock the all dressed crispy minis more frequently love that stuff!

I did not shop here for a long time. Now the price of everyday items have gone through the roof in the past few years I'm glad they are here.

My favourite new place since I stopped going to Walmart all together! Very clean store. Friendly staff. Prices have increased which I’m not happy about.

I arrived at the store entrance on saturday July 2nd at 7: 50pm. The store hours are till 8pm saturday and sunday. But the employee did not let me in because their "paging system is down". Very disappointing as I had to rush from my saturday work to get here on time but anyway I could not get milk for my family.

Clean and with better prices (on most items) than the nearby Sobeys or Zehrs. The produce is decent, although I feel you get better quality produce at the other stores. Go to Sobeys for your seafood and to Zehrs/Sobeys for your fresh meat. Or better yet, go to Whites in Belle River for your meat!

Customer Service seems to have improved but of course you'd expect that with the increase in food prices.

These guys and gals are extra special. Kudos to Brent the manager. He has an eye for hiring the best of the best. I couldn’t find even ONE bad apple among its entire staff in three years, and, I have been lQQking… … though I couldn’t say the same about some (luckily, very few) of the uncouth Neanderthals that shop there.

It’s such a pleasure shopping at this Food Basics, simply because of their helpful, hardworking, and friendly staff, besides their great prices, location, fully stocked shelves, and CLEANLINESS.

Rather than going here, go to Sobeys, it's a much better ambiance and better food items over there

As their name states, they have all the basics at great prices. For any staple food items, Food Basics should be your first stop.

Watched some women walking around there with no mask but the manager was more concerned about the flowers outside.

Prices are great, staff is friendly - everything is usually well stocked. The produce/meats are typically very fresh and above acceptable. A lot of great deals often, just wish there was a fresh deli.

A very nice addition to the Tecumseh area. Very neat and clean and friendly staff. During the COVID19, they were making sure all carts were sanitized. Also, there was hardly any line up so groceries shopping was a breeze. Best of all it's in the way of my work, Soni get the shopping done coming back from work.

Recently moved to the area. Place is well lit and everything looks fresh. Its night and day between this one and the location in downtown Windsor. Everything is extremely clean and everyone is always happy.

You open up a brand new store and then can’t be bothered to collect carts outside, the cart stations are over flowing onto the parking lot!
Come on you have competition right near by pull up your socks!
