You can find everything basically you need for your produce and groceries. Pricing is competitive with other stores. Less Asian products noticed on the aisles.

Love this store. The only place in town I can find canned water chestnuts. I can always find the little obscure ingredients I need for special recipes. Not to mention the prices are so low compared to other grocery stores.

This has become my go-to grocery store strictly because of the outstanding customer service from Tyler.

This Food Basics has been updated. Lots of fresh deals and plenty choose from. Apples are fresh and delicious.

Food basics was great. Found everything I needed. Very nice grocery store. Clean neat and prices are good.

The renovation is a bit of a pain parking and smell wise but the store is fully open and the staff are great

Food Basics - (all the locations I've shooed at) - keep their prices as resonable as possible and they usually have good variety and fresh produce.

I went to the ethnic foods section, not a single person of colour being sold as food. Very disappointing

When I was to purchase lean ground beef it did not look lean. So I requested the manager of the department to talk to me about that. His response was nothing he could do that's how it comes in. Was not concerned about it. My opinion is that all the medium and lean ground beef were the same fat contents
My opinion

I've always love shopping at food basics. It's in the name. You go to good basics for all the basics like toilet paper snacks boxed and canned food and some frozen. Even fruit veggies and dairy is good here. I just go elsewhere for my meat.

Food basics is super cheap and again like I said before, it's in its name. Food basics. Nothing special. Don't get me wrong. ALL the food is fine. I just prefer more quality meats. The meat sold here seems to go bad faster, and isnt the greatest quality to begin with.

I flew from California just to visit this market. Why? Because i just had a gut feeling my trip would be worth it. Was it? It was more than worth it. It was revolutionary, thought provoking, life changing even. What had cause this revelation in my life was a worker there. A handsome charming man who went by the name Jordan. It was love at first sight. Unfortunately i had to go back to California. My wife’s boyfriend had called and said my wife was currently having a child. It was a tough choice, but i had gone back to witness my wife’s child. But i do not plan on staying. I will return to this godly market and achieve mental tranquility and peace, and it’s all possible thanks to Jordan.

Unbelievable. Came to this store after a recommendation from a friend, and the 17 hour road trip was worth it. After parking my 2022 Porsche Cayenne, A young lad named Jordan asked if i needed anything. He was super pleasant and personally did my grocery shopping for me, and even used his own credit card to pay for my food. Life changing experience.

Came here from Taiwan because i heard of a handsome fellow. And upon entering this place i smelled the manly sigma scent of this gentleman named Jordan. I went to go get a good whiff of him but some jerk named Derek stopped me. I would have given thus place a three star if it wasn’t for Jordan and his irresistible body.

This store is amazing. While I was there there was this handsome chap called Jordan. I felt love at first sight but could not tell him for he was too perfect for a Texan visiting Canada. I miss him everyday and wish I could see him again.

It is a nice grocery store. I like how it has self check outs too and not just the cashiers so it can make it a bit quicker. They have good deals too. During the covid 19 they have good sanitation as well. Seems clean but it does feel like an old store. It is probably time for them to freshen the interior a bit.

The worst service I have ever seen from a customer service based industry. The old woman working the cash should not be dealing with customers period.it's a nice store but I will never be back. Also completely distasteful having a manager ream out a young employee while walking through the entryway, pathetic.

Very good experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. Was looking for butterball turkey drumsticks, there were none on the shelves. Stopped one of their associates she didn't work in the department, but went to check anyway. When she had no luck she found the meat department associate, he came back with the drumsticks. Can't argue with that kind of service. We shop there regularly and I have no intentions of changing that. Good products, good service. Well done

When I first stumbled into the frozens isle I had a hard time navigating around. I found an employee named derek and after quickly asking him for directions he brushed me off and aired me on multiple occasions.

Once again, during covid, I went here only because of the sales. No sale butter left. Two people wandering around with no masks. No social distancing at cash. I will not return

Favorite grocery store, prices are generally decent and sales tend to be on the necessities, toilet paper and such. Great staff

Shop here for essentials. Always try to.go to the King George Rd location over the Lynden Park Mall location. Cleaner store and produce is cycled property.

Best grocery store in Brantford. Clean, well stocked, staff always around in case you need to ask where something is. Self check out is good too. In and out in 10 minutes

Favorite budget grocery store. Good quality products. Staff follows protocols enforced by covid. Overall good shopping experience. Lower stars due to lack of selection. Sometimes its hit or miss.

Food basics, Freschco, and No Frills are my big 3 to go to for groceries. Cheaper than Walmart and are Canadian.

Food basics is a great store. I went and spent less then a 100 bucks and being very tight with money, stocked up to last 2 people over a month in dinners. But even when money is not tight, we still shop their for the quality

I shop at the king George location 5 days a week. It is rare that an item on my grocery list is temporarily sold out. I use the self checkout machines as I usually have less than 20 items and I can check out at my own pace. I'm pleased to note the fresh local produce such as cauliflower, squash and apples at ridiculously low prices per pound. Thank you food basics for a bright, clean bountiful, economical and cheerful shopping experience. I always leave smiling.

I wanted to share my very positive experience at this location. I was at this store aug 15 at around 7pm and the woman working at the self check out was very friendly. I asked her where freezes were and after telling me where they are and me still not being able to find them since they had been moved, she took it upon herself to find them for me. I wish I knew her name but I know she had a face shield with rhinestones a row the top. Very nice, and very much appreciated!

Was out today shopping and fpr myself I've been very scared to venture out with the pandemic. The store was very clean and staff following proper measures to ensure their customers felt safe. Great job food basics.

Most underrated grocery store. The vegetables are fresh, the meat is cheap but of good quality and it has just a kut everything you need. Nothing overly special, just a good selection of the usual fare.

Love shopping here. Always have my favorite bread. Weekly specials are usually products you use a lot. Gives opportunity to stock up a bit.

Very large store location compared to others we have visted. Easy to find at the end of the plazza parking lot, with ample parking spaces. Generally very clean and tidy, as well as being very well stocked. Customer service is good as we have never had any issues shopping here. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes it seems they are very understaffed on the check-outs resulting in long lines.

I was very disappointed in the prices. Food Basics used to be one of the best for pricing. From what I saw it is now comparable to Metro pricing. Too high for me. I'll do my grocery shopping somewhere else.

Be careful when you are dealing with this store. Because of the pandemic it is buyer beware. They will not honor any refunds at this point even if they are at fault. Extremely poor customer service.

Friendly staff, pretty easy to find stuff and all at reasonable prices, and when they have their sales I always stock up

The prices are pretty good on the groceries. I'm not a huge fan of their produce, the price is lower than other stores, but it spoils faster. I've also noticed this with some of their bread products. Half the time I go, the bagels are still frozen when they put them on the racks. This might be why they spoil quicker.

Terrible baby section of you are looking for first foods. Also didnt have my daughters formula. And the greenest bananas I have ever seen
