Went there after going to the Fairvew location for the lean ground beef on sale after being told by the Fairview store they only have the ground pork on sale but other stores have the beef. I was told the sane thing at the Guelph st location. Definitely a bait and switch advertising tactic. If your going to advertise something you should honor it. I will never shop at food basics again and I'll let everyone I know here in burlington not to. There's a ton of grocery stores here in town that honor their advertising.

Poorly managed store. There is a very bad smell coming from the front entrance to the store. Expired items on shelves and moldy breads. Please beware.

The store smells awful through the whole store just reeks of rotting produce will be going to the other grocery stores till they get the smell dealt with

Clean store. Reasonable prices. It's nice you don't have to unlock your shopping carts.

I am tired of making sandwiches for Galen Weston Jr.

This clean supermarket will be my new regular.

Top deals in the area. Good selection of poultry for decent price. Store is clean, staff is friendly. Also, they have plastic bags, not giant paperbags with no handles.

Did over 200dollars shopping today but Will never go back to this store again.
The reason for that is I sensed some kind of a bigotry behavior from the cashier, on Sunday morning,

Please hire staff considering diversity,
Train your old and White employees not to show such demeanor,

Atleast for pretending and appearances of your cooperation.

This is close to home and I come here once in a while. It has its good things and bad things but what I find best is the little stop ins and money you save for things like Bread, Butter, Margarine, maybe some frozen burgers and buns for a quick dinner from the family. Not the BEST products when it comes to produce and their meat selection but when it comes to their boxed, snack items and that sort of foods they are great in price. Saves me a lot compared to the much priced Fortino’s just across the street.

Not so good.walked out with nothing. No fresh salmon no breakfast sausages and.few other things. You asked. I answered.

A LOT of empty shelves.or don't carry products unless it's their brands.

Store is usually in some sort of disarray.

There are all kinds of food. I found a fruit (prickly fig) that I ate 30 years ago. Both fresh and affordable. I will go again.

Thought we would try this store for a change to purchase our weekly groceries. The selection of items is not that great, and some of the produce was very overipe and messy. The store was borderline crowded yet they had only 2 cashiers, one with 12 items or less. Unless they have super sales, won't be going back

Clean Grocery Store, better prices then majority of the others in the area. Great customer service.

A good grocery store with a consistently friendly and helpful staff, but is badly let down by the fact that there is rarely, if ever, more than two cashes open, and of those two, the cashier at the express checkout has to sell lottery tickets and do returns. Always long lines, and this been going on for years, long before covid, and it's getting tiresome.

Skip fresh products like meat and veg as they tend to be stale/old. Amazing prices for everything else though!

Decent prices, well-laid-out store. Limited quantities of a number of items, and some produce was not the best.for example, every one of the 10 or so bags of clementines in the store had at least one rotten clementine in the bag.

The store is spacious and plenty of parking spots are available in front of it. It has a great collection of fresh vegetables and fruits. The staff are helpful and friendly; the store is clean and well-maintained. They usually have great offers on fruits and vegetables.

The plus point is I never got stuck in the lineups during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Very good Covid protocols by the staff, announcements in the store reminding others to maintain social distancing and to wear masks but to be understanding of people who are exempt from wearing masks. I felt that it was kind messaging.

One of the better food basics that I've been to. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They're always well stocked. I find their fruits and vegetables to be relatively fresher by comparison to other stores in that area. I would highly recommend shopping there just after 3: 00 or 4: 00 p.m. With a start replenishing the shelves and it's not so crowded

Yes, prices for many things are cheaper, but the quality of produce is not as good (not saying bad - just not as good), the selection of product variety and the availability is not great.

Flip App shows something on sale at Food Basics and they won't give you the same price.this is false advertisement. Dirty store

Overall the prices at food basics is cheaper than across the street at fortinos. Limited selections in some areas and sometimes there are not enough cashiers

Good place for low income students to shop. Although, it's cheaper to get meat from Nations store.

Glad to see about 90% of customers wearing masks. Thought more staff would be wearing masks. Store was well stocked and staff was friendly and helpful

Honestly its a grocery store but its kept clean the staff is kind and helpful and especially now during the pandemic I dont shop anywhere else because they've done a great job of making me feel safe.

All around vast improvement since implementation of Covid-19 precautions. Very well organized, very clean and staffs were courteous and helpful. If you have not been in there for awhile, you should give them a try. Very short line, just 5 minutes when I visited.

Always great prices but today the chicken thighs on sale were all bad on the shelf. Staff needs to be more diligent on watching for this. Luckily a great cashier caught this and brought it my attention. Still a great place to shop. Will always return.

It's an ok store, there is generally not inventory of the advertised items that made you go there in the first place from the flyers.

Hot summer day and travel to the recently redone store only to find they are out of stock on what I went for. Time of day shouldn't matter and the area the special was on was not very big to start with. Always has been my least favorite grocery chain.

I go here for the pickled beets and breakfast sausage. Other than that, no frills is cheaper and has more variety

Good, clean, organized store. Good competitive prices puts this store in the same league with No Frills and Fresco.

This location has a big issue with having sale items in stock and makes it exhausting to get the rain check.

They have nice staff and good prices but run out of flyer product and they do not price match. I will continue shopping there but I do go into the store knowing that I likely won't get everything on my list and will have to go elsewhere to finish my shopping. I don't know if there's a solution there - if the store is shorted goods on their truck deliveries it's not really the store's fault.

Clean and easy to shop. Products readily available ro purchase. Ònly issue we had while shopping at this location was the checkout. The lady in front of us asked the cashier for back up as the line up was starting to wrap around only having 2 cashiers open. Once the back up came there seemed to be an issue opening up one of the cashes and 2 customers ended up leaving. Other than the ending to the visit, all was good
