The produce department looked like a dump leaves everywhere stuff on the floor it was disgusting.it seems this store has bad management.

Do not buy meat from this store. I have bought ribs and roast in kast month and both bad when I opened. I was once shopping at this store saw a palette of children sitting out of cooler, told. Staff member she walked over and then walked away and left it out. Beware

Checkouts only staff two cashiers even during peak hours. If you don't want to use the self checkout, prepare to wait 10 minutes in line. Otherwise decent for the essentials.

Can't stand when they don't even have any of the products in stock and they advertise the sale. Scam!

Not a place for quality fruit and veggies. I've lost count how many times I've found moldy or rotting fruit on their shelves. One time I observed a staff replenishing strawberries on a shelf and the strawberries were already bruised and soft.
They do have great sales on their non perishable foods though from time to time.

Great customer service, friendly always find what Im looking for. Easy to find products in the store. Store is very clean. Easy to find parking.

Wow! I saved so much money shopping here for my groceries. You can't beat the selection. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Staff are always working hard I usually see around 5 people pushing out trucks of stock very hard working staff

As a newcomer to Stittsville, I would have given this store a 5 stars before the self serve cashes. However, because I’m a large order customer, self serve doesn’t work well for me. The screen keeps telling me I’m timed out while the attendent is busy with others. Customers are impatient with me for taking so long, and therés not enough counter space all of my items. Very stressful. Unfortunately, I have to shop elsewhere now. One open regular cash is not enough.

A good place to shop for grocery. Love the vegetables, a lot of variety to choose from. And affordable too.

They have four staff working the self-checkout line, and a single cashier open.

I feel bad for the sole poor cashier who has to do all the work, and for the rest of us who have to wait in line.

Visited this food basics in Kanata. Shelves are stocked and prices for variety of items are right. Looking for your go to staples then food basics is ur grocery store. You can look up ur daily -weekly sales. I find all the right prices on my canned items here. Stock up my own shelves for affordable prices! Clean and very friendly staff!

This Food Basics location seems to be better than other locations in the stittsville, kanata area; they have good quality fruits and vegetables, especially the Blackberries.

Prices are very good on packaged goods. Quality is sometimes lower on meat and fruit and vegetables. If you are careful, savings can be significant.

My "go to" store for groceries in Stittsville. However I can't figure out why the shopping baskets have disappeared since Jan 2022. If stores are restricted to 50% capacity then I could see half the baskets going away, not all of them.

Staff are nice and store is great stock but the produce is always rotten or on the verge of being rotten

Was looking for a turkey, as they were on sale this week. The young lady who was filling the freezer case with turkeys was kind enough to look in the back for larger turkeys for three customers, myself included

They have the whole aisle for the kitchens of the world. Good prices. Well organized store.

I like working here and shopping here, even though I don't really have a wide array of choices it's still a gud workplace and a grocery.

Was really impressed with this location. Very modern feel, fresh produce, decently functional layout. I was surprised to see that they sell alcohol. Checkout lines were typical for a Food Basics.

I went to Food Basics for the first time. I actually really liked it. There were great sales and I found some grocery items I haven't been able to find at other stores. I will go back again.

First time shopping here and was impressed with the price of produce. Sale items were a good deal, while name brand items were the same or slightly more expensive than Independent.

This store is bright, with wide isles giving plenty of room to get around people. The sore is well stocked and extremely clean. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The cashier was helpful and quick. Thank you.

Everytime I visit everyone from cart organizer to the stock shelves to the checkout is always present even on the busiest days. Keep up the great job

I like that there are different specials every single week which keeps me going back again and again. My favourite sale of all is the 99-cent event.

Fruits and vegetables are always fresh. The employees are great. One day, my wife asked for an item which the employee couldnt locate at first, and then when my wife was at checkout, the employee ran to her with the item and said he was looking fkr her the whole time after he found it. This level of dedication from employees is great to see, and enhances the overall customer convenience. Thank you for that! I wish I knew your name to thank you personally.

Guys are you kidding this is my favourite branch. I shop there like on daily basis and every day I find good new offer to grab.

It has alot of groceries in some areas in what you want. The service is great. The clerks are very cooperate for you when you need help.

A nice bright grocery store with reasonable prices. Nice staff and lots of checkouts. Food was fresh and a good variety of vegetables. I'd shop here again.

Fruits n vegetables are not fresh. Meat selection is okay. Floors are not clean enough. Not happy with this store/supermarket. There needs to be a better supermarket in this area.

I find this grocery store to be great for some awesome sales. The produce is satisfactory but not as good as say Farm Boy. Nevertheless, it has all you need with good prices. Bring your own bags and be prepared to pack them yourself.

Great prices on most produce, dairy, and international foods. No deli, but packaged deli items are available. Shopping on a budget goes much further here.

Freshness of produce is always hit & miss as I think most people who frequent any Basics location have come to expect, but their prices can't be beat on staple food items, & they regularly have great weekly deals! We definitely save money shopping here, & that's always a win-win when you have a big family & are shopping on a budget:)

Took my toddler to the bathroom, it had detergent up and down the east wall, poop on the floor and all over the seat.

Paper everywhere. When I told an associate, she told a supervisor, and nothing happened.

If the public area is this dirty, how is the areas we cannot access?

We often go here. There is ample parking. Service is minimal, but when you ask someone to find something, they provide very helpful and friendly service. Fruit and vegetables are well cared for. The prices are very competitive.
