Alot of great produce and inventory. And the staff is very helpful and friendly will be back again soon.

I was in line to buy lottery tickets, the girl told me I had to go over here to the other register and then she proceeded to serve somebody else next in line.

I was there at 6 pm today and i was in line. I had very bad experience with the cashier as she was really rude and extremely unprofessional. I will not go there or recommend anyone to go there as i was totally shocked by poor customer service later on the other cashier took over her seeing her behaviour but literally that experience was so traumatising like how can one not know basic manners and etiquette of how to talk to customers…too baddddd.

I was there at 6: 10. I just had very bad experience with a cashier. She was very arrogant and very mean. Clearly she is not knowing the meaning of customer service.later on the boy came and took over her however she was RUDE. I will never go there again due to pathetic experience i had with that stupid girl.
I just can go over and over again regarding her bad behaviour. She need to learn the importance of her job. Stupid customer service

I would like to give it 5 stars but the fresh produce section is not so fresh, also prices of items are more than that of Walmart

I did a grocery shopping trip today (March 29th 2021) and bought a few cookies, started eating them and later just now that they’ve been expired for ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR!

This is disgusting, why the heck would you carry food that’s past its best before date for so freaking long?

Meat items are pricey. Compared to Walmart. Shopped here for the first time. Produce section looked good. Frozen section is pretty good.

Good experience. Went Thursday early afternoon to get groceries and it wasn't packed with people.

Had to ask 6 times to have a proper cashier. Staff was herding everyone into self checkout area and not social distancing. This area is very tight and crowded. Staff member had to assist and was not wearing gloves. If I could give a zero, I would. They put up all these protective screens on the regular checkouts and not one of them were open. Never coming back. Took twice as long to do a small shop. Manager needs to understand the protocol during the pandemic.

Compare to CHALO, 80%of employees are not friendly looking.
Seems they bring their problems in their houses to where they work.
I won't be doing my groceries at this food basic anymore.
Rather drive a little bit to CHALO, most employees are smiles and reminds me if i get all i needs.

Cashier on gate # 2 which is a Express gate,
Items 1-16 but today Friday Jan 08,2021 at 2: 30 pm
The cashier is not following the Food basic policy which is clearly Sayed on top of the cashier for items 1 to 16 and the line up for people under 16 items were long around 7 people but still she took people with a lot more items,
Please train the cashier to follow the policy

Breading ground for covid 19. Nobody distances themselves from others. People wearing masks under their noses. I understand that the customers are to blame for breaking covid protocol, but the store does absolutely nothing to enforce social distancing. People are merely a couple centimetres apart in line. I literally feared for my life here today waiting in line in the express lane. Not worth it. Take your money to grocery stores where social distancing and proper mask wearing is enforced.

In a world where going in and out of a grocery store without waiting in line has become very important, I think these guys found the perfect balance. Store was clean, stocked and the employees super friendly. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.and for me that was amazing! Thank you Food Basics

Do the people that live and shop in the area of this particular Food Basic think that they are immune to Covid 19? Stopped in here to grab a few items on my way back to Mississauga this afternoon and I could not believe it. There was absolutely no social distancing among shoppers, no crowd control, no wiping down of cart handles. Everyone was just walking willy nillly on top of each other throughout the store. No markers on the floor near the cash registers to indicate that you should keep back until the person ahead had cleared the area.

No greeting at the door to inquire as to your health status or to reiterate social distancing once inside. It was like any other normal day shopping!

With all this going on, I'm shocked! Glad I don't have to shop at this particular Food Basic

So far, I like them for there variety of grocery items in each section they carry which is not easy to he find in grocery store similar to these like no frills. They fresh produce is not the best quality but they seasonally carry some freshly harvested fruits and vegetables including apples, cauliflower and corn which are amzingly fresh. Overall they are good in price range.

Great place but they sometimes charge a few cents more. Not a big deal but that's y it's a 4 star. Or els 5 stars for sure

Nice and clean i live close to the one on Kennedy bit i drive hear or the one on hwy 10 because it's much cleaner

Went today for some quick purchase in after hours. The black lady on express line was extremely rude, she seem very tired and hell frustrated to do checkout. Didn't wanted to move items on the belt, even she was watching me struggling to grab each, and the way the through bags on items was extremely not acceptable. Management should work on the customer service. In comparison freshco and Nofrills have such nice people working every branch everytime response with big smile, hello and great behavior.
Poor customer service.

Pretty good and organized, lots of fresh produce available here pretty much everytime I come. Watch out for the traffic on Zenway, some really nutty people driving around there.

Great place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables slightly expensive than other grocery stores in the neighborhood but marked difference in the quality other than fruits and vegetables no major difference than other stores only you can find more variety but if you know what you want then no difference than other stores. But again thumbs up for fresh fruits and vegetables

One of my favorite places to shop in Canada. Food basic has your regular produce and the prices are reasonable. Also, the customer service at the store was amazing.

The girl at the cashier had very bad attitude and I regret for buying groceries there. Worst experience ever in brampton in a decade.highly disappointing.
Worst service ever. The staff made me unpack my all groceries for errors they did and scanning groceries like throwing garbage. If u have other option around dont choose this place. Very very very rude service. My last visit

Average but good sales. Quite clean but need more staff only 2 lanes were open and one of them was express 12 items or less.

Don't shop often at food basics but when I do that have good prices and decent sales. This location is pretty good. I never have any issues with it

Good size location, same great value as always. Friendly staff. Nothing special, but it's just what you need to check all your items off the list.

“Basic” grocery store chain. No flash and glamorous display. Just good deals and straight up what you “need”. Always great deals on ice cream! Came in for some mid day sweets and left with my favourite Drumsticks!

Prices were great, but the shelves were very dirty. There was produce in the cookie isle just thrown all over the place, open bags of chips spilled everywhere and only 1 cashier open.

Went for the produce on sale, a fabulous deal of very good quality and will go back again. No dissappointments here.

A fine basic grocery store with all the basic departments. There are only serve yourself departments. Good prices, especially on sale items. They do not match.

Why is the cashier in the "Express Lane" also the one selling lottery tickets and renting out carpet cleaners? Seriously-it's the Express Lane for a reason! The produce in the store is a week away from expiry, and I've found salted meats that expired the day before. I get it-you're not Sobeys: if you want fresh produce, go to Fortinos and pay the proper price for it. I'm not complaining about that. But if your product is second class, at least make your service decent.

Why are you selling lottery tickets, carpet cleaners and handling complaints at the same counter? Why is that counter the Express Lane?

It was a very frightening and disgusting experience. I came there for the first time with my friend Sarah who lives in Brampton. Someone blueberry had scattered on the floor and no one swept it up. Sarah went on on feet and left heavily. Her good flew in different places. I was shock but the products manager was so rude he was rushing her to move and didn't ask her if she is hurting and even say sorry. He said move I am cleaning up the blueberry. This disgusting. The cashier said in a snobbish way, I am doing my work up here do you expect me to see what is on the floor when it happened right at the check out counter. This happened about 7 and we were still there 7: 28 giving the report. This is not acceptable. What happened to customer service skills. They folks needs to be trained. My friend is very frightened and hurting because of that experience in falling. I am not impressed at all.

This food place is wonderful in which has a variety of foods as well as have nice service provided. This establishment has food neatly arranged and has a good amount of space for customers, i would like to visit this establishment over and over again.

Sales were great, clean store but only 1 cashier on and had to ask for manager in order to get another cashier.

I was just in Food Basics to do some shopping and I was in the express line waiting to be cashed out. The cashier had a miserable look on her face and had an attitude. She was a Jamaican girl with blonde hair and is on the heavier side. When she had cashed me out she didn’t greet me and she asked if I wanted a bag so I said yes please and she threw the bag and when I had paid she threw my receipt as well. She was nothing but disrespectful!

Pretty good experience in buying anything related to food. Lots of variety and numerous Canadian as well as Indian food items. During lean period cashier's are less but that's okay as people are also less. Best to come middle of week during lunchtime as place is devoid of people and you can shop with ease.

Food is quite expensive with not a lot of good deals. Under 15 items checkout is slow due to cashier having to do lottery as well. Not an efficient store.

Too cheap to hire staff! Waited in line on a Tuesday for about 10 mins. Only 2 lanes open! HIRE PEOPLE

What a horrible horrible place, the manager here is no good for nothing genuinely they should think of getting new staff. I would rather go without groceries then ever stop in here again.

This place has the rudest customer service. Treated my parents horribly. They really need to keep their employees In check and teach them how to behave with their customers. Even some of there stores polices make no sense, even if you play by the rules. Made my family feel terrible.
