Great service in the meat department.
I called ahead because what I was looking for was not in stock at a different store.
They were happy to check and were very friendly.
I went to buy it.

This Food Basics store has pretty good prices but it is the dirtiest grocery store I have ever seen with garbage all over the floor at the front entrance, garbage inside the buggies, filthy floors, I even saw a mouse running between the aisles. It’s been like this for years. One day it smelled so bad throughout the store, I couldn’t go inside. Moved on to No Frills

Big store with great stocks of weekly flyer items that usually are sold out at the other Food Basics in the area. Also lots of free parking:)

Most of the times they are out of required products even the ones advertised in their flyer. Staff is friendly. Their rotisserie machine is out of order for many months.

Terrible customer service.cashiers talk very rudly to customers specially old ladies they dont know how to speak with customers management should change them nd appoint someone who know how to deal wth customers

This grocery store is at nice location.with lot of parking space. You will find quality products.

What is the point when you guys never have the key front page flyer items? Came to store twice this week for the shrimp that’s on sale, Asking employees to check in the backroom here in this store is nothing but a joke, good flyers, poor ordering to serve the community, run some numbers before running out of key flyer items. Have some respect for the community you are serving, it goes both ways. No thanks, not coming back to this lame location.

Great selection of products. The aisles are clearly defined and selected for your browsing pleasure.

The service is not bad, the store is cleaned and alot of things for sell very good price, all parking are free and keep an eye on pedestrian

Great place for doing quick groceries- the store clerk was helpful in getting me a shopping cart (l couldn't free the cart from the cart lineup and my quarter got stuck) and in locating what I needed.

Nice place for Groceries. Very nice and clean. Well stocked. Now it has self checkout counters too.

It's a place for a swing by for daily needs. Needs improvements. So far remains the same, you get what you pay.

All of the night staff look like they got 2 hours of sleep. Also seems like there's close to no cashiers at all, lineups are always huge.

Customer service is great very friendly staff willing to help out customers. The place is clean.

The inside checkout lines are too long. Put more clerks on cash. What should've been a quick 10 min visit turned into 1/2 hour wait to get out of the store. How do these longs lines slow the spread?

This is the best Food Basics location we have been too. So clean and a lot of parking spots! The store owner Tanveer is amazing and very friendly, he is always ready to help the community and any shoppers. We definitely suggest you shop at this location and they truly care about their customers.

I often drop in after work and they have the best cashiers. The location is clean, has good variety. Also the best reduced produce section

Staff don't know how to read the prdt code & they don't want to except their mistake & very rude answer

Need some more stafd to assist customer and do line managing aswell especially at self checkout. Customers are getting confused since its beside another register.

What not to like about this store. The store layout: very spacious, execellent customer service: , all the products I was planning to buy were there especially the ones on for 'Sale'. The lines at the cash register where almost non existent: i was done in less than 5 minutes at the cash register. I would recommend this particular store for anyone looking for total good customer experience.

I have stopped enjoying going to food basics as they reflect huge discounts in their flyers but hardly ever you find it on the shelf. If that stuff is urgent then you buy an alternative which is high priced.
Hence, for me now it’s a no no altough they give a receipt you can collect it at Same price later. It’s inconvenient and if the commodity required is urgent then it’s tough on the wallet. Imagine wasting gas if I go Somewjre else.

Was just there its dirty and the staff are not helpful. A lot of the customers are dirty and don't care, saw they pick something and throw it back.

Service is friendly. Not sure why there isn't a self checkout or a 1-8 item express lane. I come here to buy a couple of things and I am always waiting so long

Here is the reality, accept food basics for what it is. You buy packaged goods here. I definitely don't come here for meat or produce. However, I do come here for the great deals on products you would get elsewhere at a higher price. If you come in with an expectation of Longo's or Loblaws quality for the other stuff, you will be disappointed.

Their fresh produce is frozen and thawed before selling. Everytime i got fresh fruits from this location, they become weirdly soft the next day as if they were rotting and tasted poor. Even their fresh bagels were sold frozen. The store is clean but.

Food Basics is always good to me. I always find what I want and the working staff are so nice and helpful. Their ethnic aisle has a lot of good stuff.

A conveniently located, big grocery store with nice layout. No congested aisles. Very well presented. You would love to shop here. Food Basics prices are always cheaper and very competitive. I like freshness of produce items, dairy and meats. Five stars.

Rotten peaches, strawberry boxes full of fungus. Is any food inspection or do we "canadian" have any food department, I believe no.

I live near this location, so I go to the food basics and no frills.from time to times I saw vegetables in food basic, mostly are rotten, I was surprised how come they put it for sale? Does health inspection visit here or not, I took videos too.also cashiers are not pay attention to us, I see everytime I'm front of them, they are talking eachothers, I always worried they enter 2 times for same stuffs, I caught 2 times.i know mostly peoples they dont check, another things cashiers are not nice with our stuffs specially when we buy a fruits they just roughly throw, fruit should be treated with care, there eyes are somewhere.weird, how many times I tried to complain this cashiers but I just shout my mouth.

I found this place to be pretty decent, being accessible and convenient, but it could definitely do better with further organisation efforts.

Worst store in area. I visited here frequently numerous occasions at different times but frankly had enough. They consistently only have a couple of checkouts open and fail to respond to long queues even when asked. Also I'd say 50% of the staff have an attitude problem whereby they dont know how to greet customers at the checkout. Seems to be an issue with the younger staff in particular. You are better off to go no frills across the street with self checkouts. You will be in and out far quicker

Nice location. I've been in some food basics that make me want a shower. This place is clean and well laid out. Friendly staff too.

I have actually rated them 4 stars, though I believe they deserve at least a 4.5 plus. The reason is that before upgrading their ranks, I want to observe them for some time.
It's a good assortment of items in store with good lighting scheme to attract the attention of the customers. Rates with deals are very competitive even better than almost every competitors.
Check out counters should be more wider and more in number. Try to negotiate with your vendors to keep all the desired items rates competitive in one go so that the customer base can increase.
A few more improvement suggestions lie in my bag but first the store needs to focus to attract more audience. Focus on local advertisement more.

At this location always good experience. Everything in proper order and the kids working there are very friendly and courteous.

Moderately clean and generally well stocked supermarket with great weekly sales. I'm currently enjoying their 99¢ sale. They don't have the large variety as Walmart but they are good for a small establishment. Their worst trait is that they don't price match like many others but hopefully they will eventually. Wait time in a line is not long during the weekday evenings.

The fact that they're open longer than other groceries in the area is a big plus. It makes them a lot more convenient.
