I shop there 2 or 3 times a week.
Too many times they are out of milk or the meat I need, lots of bins and shelves are alf empty it reminds me of Covid days. I have too go elsewhere, but I like the workers

cause it's close to me

I went to pick up a dozen or more grocery items. All my items were expensive, as any other grocery store around. I needed help to find one item, only to find one employee on the floor, who was able to take a few seconds to tell me either aisle 3 or 4. Cashier wasn't even pleasant enough to say anything to me, except asking if it was debit or credit card. With all the competitive grocery stores around, my first time and last time at this grocery store. Absolutely nothing nice about this one, even the prices aren't low enough.

Clean store, Nice staff. Not a lot to pick from, kind of low on inventory, maybe just the time of the day I went.

I had the pleasure of grabbing a roast there and discovered it had a hole in the wrapping.they said you want to pass on it? I said I'll take it at a discount and feed it to my dogs.she came back with a ridiculous 30% off sticker! I said it's browning and isn't it against health codes now? I'll take it for 5 bucks.she came back and said the manager can't do it.throw it out then. I left. I'll never go back there again. It should be in the garbage. Ridiculous.

Always was my go to store. Not sure if there is new management or they just don't care how their store looks. From rotten produce and the floors are very dirty. Shelves not stocked. Never no buggies and cashiers are very unfriendly. I hope someone decides to take charge. I used to like that store.

Shopping, or trying to was beyond ridiculous today Fri June 9. It was like back in the middle of Covid. Tons of empty shelves and the produce was like compost.

The atmosphere is very clean but while I was walking through doing my groceries I did see a couple of expired items but That being said they always have great deals in the staff was very nice.

Normally a place I shop very frequently 2-3 times a week. Waited in line patiently while cashier had 2 people in front of me with only a few items each. I had to of waited at least 12-15 minutes to be checked through, she was extremely slow and fidgeting with her station in between customers. While being checked out I had to keep reaching around the plexiglass to reach my items in order to bag them. She made no effort to put them on the belt. Very very poor service. I called to speak to the manager, who I think took matters seriously. There were at least three people behind me waiting to be checked out and at no time did she call for back up to the cash.

At the end of the phone call he told me he hoped I had a better day, there was nothing wrong with my day aside from her service at that store. I’m sure he meant that only in the most positive way, I truly have nothing bad to say about how he handled my phone call, and hopefully he will speak to this cashier.
The store has definitely gone through some changes in staff and the service has unfortunately declined.

I would never normally write a negative review and would be one of the first people to write a positive review about good customer service. However I think that this is something that the store needs to pay attention to as the service has definitely declined drastically.

The shops were stocked and the store was clean but there was boxes of inventory everywhere made it very difficult to get around by the water at the back of the store or the side of the store whatever it is and they only had one cash open and 1 handicap and there was quite the lineup Other than that everything else was good

Sections are well labeled, well stocked and have plenty of staff on hand to assist. They provide a bagging service for elderly and have a self checkout option.

On more then one occasion I've been there to get some things and stock was not available, yesterday I was in to pick up water and again what I wanted wasn't available but the higher priced product was. And today I go to grab something for dinner and well I'll let the pics explain themselves

I am a frequent shopper at the Food Basics on Thorold Rd in Welland, and it is my first choice for grocery shopping. The location is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. However, the only issue I have with the store is the checkout process. There are not enough cashiers available, and the self-checkout machines often don't work properly, making for a frustrating experience. Despite this, I still recommend this Food Basics location for its unbeatable prices and convenient location. If they can address the checkout issue, it would make for an even better shopping experience.

No issues to report, just wish they had a points program like other stores. Scene point are new and appreciated but I hardly go to the movies anymore.

Great prices. Friendly service and shopping Carts Don't leave there side of the parking lot aswell, so park closer to the store to avoid issues with your groceries.

Parking lot in front of this store can be very busy. Staff are awesome at this store. Carts are always collected in lot. Can be messy at the entrance and exits.
