Lol. Fyi: Your carts lock in the parking lot. You guys say it locks when you leave but you could be 10 feet from the front door and the carts will lock.

After nearly 7 years living in oakville, this supermarket is still dirty, the food quality is mediocre, but the prices are very high.

Awful I have brought home food many times from that store only to find out it expired 2 days ago and its worse with dry stock food once a year old box of cooks that looked brand new freshly stocked being sold and when i got upset they said they couldn't find people to and they pay the lowest rate in the city and zero benifits.the places management is smoothbrained.

I will always shop at any of the Food Basics the service & prices are the best compared to other grocery stores there are always specials on any given item good meats nice staff
What I've noticed that some products that I've been buying what I usually have are gone veggies a necessity is Covid still at large we are not getting any information as to how much longer we'll have to live in suspense not knowing that our foods may not last much longer

My go to place for basic grocery. Every week they have good deals. Most of the times I have good experience but my last visit wasn’t very pleasant. Some of things in produce were rotten like apples and bananas. I bought coconut that I break next day was bad too. They have aisle for international grocery but barely has any stuff there even most of time I couldn’t get variety in wheat flour. Staff is very helpful and polite though.

One of our go to places to shop but trying to navigate the parking lot walking or driving with the craters in the pavement is a challenge. Also get some carts that aren’t falling apart. Those special wheels you have with magnets are keeping them from leaving the parking lot but keeping them in bad shape is doing this for you anyways.

Produce bags broke twice before I even got to checkout. And no, they weren't overloaded. Two tomatoes in one, and three medium potatoes in the other. I told the lady at the self checkout, and she just looked at me. Truth be told, I don't know what she could have done for me anyways but at least pretend to be concerned. So annoyed.

Went in here on a Tuesday at 4pm, it was quiet, great sales, staff were friendly and saved almost $30 on groceries!

Nightmare of a store. Huge lineups, uninterested cashiers, poor layout. Do not let the terrible appearance fool you, many prices are higher than Fortinos - this is not a discount chain. Do not recommend.

When they say food basics they mean basic food.
Don't expect to get anything other than the usual run of the mill food.

Hands down one of the most inconpetently run companies out there. Let alone grocery chains.website lacks the only feature a website is neccessary for. To search products avaliable. The captcha to contact support doesnt work. You just endlessly have to so captchas.

Do not shop here and do not support incompetent people. Rediculous

Where are the baskets?
How do you mess up something as simple as having a parking lot?
Friendly staff but they can't retain enough cashiers.
Management needs to start to manage things.

This store has jumped in the ratings for me after the installation of the self-serve aisle. Prior to those machines, the lineup for the cash was outrageous. I stopped coming. Now, the lines are fast and the prices are great. This location usually has all the sale items in the flyer.

This store used to be okay, but now that they've removed all the cash registers and replaced them with self checkouts things have only been going downhill. The fruits and vegetables are always terrible, you have to really look to find ones that aren't bruised and edible. Sometimes you can find pretty good deals but most of the time the products aren't much cheaper than other stores. I still go here sometimes because it's across the street from my building, but other than that I do not recommend.

Was better when they offered baskets to shop. No idea why they got rid of them? It makes shopping a bit easier when you have a basket. Just saying.

Close to home, staff are nice, always have product, bit surprisingly not very well priced.

Always well priced and fair regarding their pricing. Not the same atmosphere as Whole Foods, being a more "basic" store, but.excellent value for money with parking available. Customer washrooms available. The management of the store has high standards for its employees with the result that customer service is good.

I think they need to highlight the word basic in their name because this story is exactly that.not much to look at.prices are what you’d expect from a low end store, and the variety is okay.it’s clean, I had no issues with staff at checkout.

They had many items in stock. Aisles were clear and clean. Carts were available. Like most places these days, they have installed self checkouts.
