Food Basics

I had a very happy experience in Food Basic yesterday. I left my contact with Food Basic staff when I realized that I might have lost my keys in the store. They contacted me in an hour informing me that they found them. Deeply thankful to the supervisor and the cashier who are so attentive, responsible, honest and efficient with professionalism.

The store is really clean and well organized, prices are good compared to other grocery stores.

Called them, and asked if x item found in y flyer is in stock.
"We have a lot of them. "
I get down there, looking for said item, don't see anything. I ask the staff just in case it's stocked somewhere else, he said they were sold out a day earlier.

Great stuff.

Well stocked grocery store located inside Woodside Square mall with parking lot and mall entrances for convenience. All the on sale flyer items were available for purchase. Aisles are sufficiently wide, grocery store is clean and doesn't have any smells. You have the choice self-serve or cashier registers. There are sufficient close by parking spots.

There are enough parking spaces and the traffic is convenient. Recently, the price has become more and more expensive.

On July 1st Canada day, we went to the Food Basics at Woodside Square. To our disappointment the Store is closed. On their website, it was mentioned the store is open. We found that many customers came to the shop and found it is closed. If it is closed they should clearly mention on their website.
We were upset by this experience. In the future, I hope this issue will not happen again.

Good deals always but sometimes no stock, their app is not as user friendly as No Frills. They should also set a limit on those on sale items so that other people can get it.

Foos Basics is the top public food supplier with absolutely lowest price and highest on sale options even in past Covid period and nowdays of inflation especially in food price. And this is the hope of the low incomes people.

Don't try to buy gift cards here. They could honour a bonus gift card promotion because they "didn't receive any". That's a bait and switch. Then I tried to buy an LCBO gift card which they "couldn't scan" and thus didn't let me buy. What a joke this store is! Metro customer service also never follows up or tries to help me solve the problem.

Winner hands down when benchmarked with nofrills downstairs of me. Self checkout, actual sales discounts, imaginative pricing electronically adjusted

It's always scattered and jam packed. I find it difficult to maneuver with so many people shopping at this location plus things are often never in the spot they should be

Great Location and One of the huge Food Basics Store in Greater Toronto Area. Clean and Organized Supermarket. Great Products available including International Food choices too.
Friendly staff and Good Customer Service too. Self check-out was great and Self check-out staff so helpful. Also Cashiers are available too.

My go to store, if I ran out of something, the fruits are not that wonderful, not many options for Caribbean food

Just 1 hour ago a employee was moving a skid of water and walked away then the whole skid on the pump truck started to move towards the line up of customers myself and another guy had to stop the moving pump truck so it wouldn't crash into the customers, food basics should train the employee way better then this, if food basics read this look at camera 6 then you will see it all unfold, no happy over this.
