The most clean beautiful and nicely organized Food Basics I've seen. Exterior archetectural style looks high end. Parking lot offers car charging stations.

Love the pharmacy here. Tara, James, Karen and the rest of the staff are so personable and helpful. They never take long to fill you prescription, but they take the time to talk you through what you’re getting and they really listen to your concerns.

I have come to this food basics about five times, the last two have not been great. I bought cheese and it was green and blue with mold, and today the cashier a blonde older lady was incredibly rude to me when I put my groceries in a basket after checkout. I get it it’s a stressful job I work in retail myself but there is no reason for any of this in a grocery store. Seriously disappointed, for the prices too just going to Walmart from now on

Stay away. I bought steaks and they smelled like vinegar. Always have the same problem with there ground meats. And the meat not expired but yet it always stinks. Never buy meat from food basics. Food basics dont care anyways there a franchise and they know they'll keep making money on the next person nor will they even care to answer

Love this food basics in Fonthill. Always well stocked, courteous, and friendly staff who help readily if needed.

Mostly good expérience but when it comes to check out total disaster - not enough cashiers and the self serve is not user friendly

An elderly couple like in there 80s we’re ahead of me having a hard time using the debit machine. The lady had a pack of gum on the table to pay and the cashier missed it. And was very rude to the elderly lady and said “”not my problem if you left it there” I offered to pay for it on my bill np. She was so rude and inpatient with this poor couple I felt bad.

When it was my turn to pay for my groceries, I asked her …. How would you feel if someone treated your parents or grand parents that way? She replies … no idea I don’t live with them anyway… and went about her business. Food Basics you can do better. This will be followed up with a letter to you store manager!

Typical budget grocery store. Good for shopping for the staples. Produce is usually on its last leg, but most grocery stores seem to struggle with this now. The meat is what you would expect from a budget store. The staff is why this store gets 3 stars. They have always been great.

It's food basics. A better location than McLeod Road IMO. Associates are friendly and helpful when needed.

Luckily in the evening it was wasn't as busy so we were able to get in and out quickly. Oddly couldn't find the vanilla in the baking section but eventually found it.

Big fan as they sell beer and wine. Polite staff, clean, cheap and cheerful goodies, helpful pharmacy!

Prices are better than most of the other stores but even they are gouging customers on essential items.
