Food Basics

Well stocked, aisles were clear, their stock ppl were busy restocking their shelves a true variety of different types of food. Available parking, with wheelchair ramps and washroom in available onsite.

As soon as I walked in I noticed how clean this store was at 1500 hrs after 100s of peeps walking through all day. KUDOS! I also noticed everyone was working. Stalking selves, spreading out fresh produce and returning items back to their places. Even Mason the store produce manager was out busting his hump stocking Onions.however he was taking off everything we do at home so we dont have to. GOD BLESS YOU SON! Although there were only two cashiers, they were handling business like CHAMPS! I found the prices very competitive and sale items were actually deals. The store is well stocked and signs are everywhere telling you everyting. (see photos). Its nice to have a shopping experience you can come away from feel like you've done your best for your family. As always the in Blenheim is well stock with merchandise we need at price the average working household can afford. You can count on great service from Food Basic customer service. Ava, the self checkout customer service rep was polite, intelligent and professional. She was on the ball as we check out from the self checkout. It needed an over ride and Ava was right there with a quick solution. We we're and our twenty six dollars went a fair distance (see photos/ vid). Store constantly out of stock of specific items. Ask staff and the blame vendor instead of helping customer get what they need.

CHECK the packaging! My husband just got home from the Blenheim store and as I was unpacking the groceries, not one, BUT TWO items were already opened; koolaid jammers and Oreo minis and both were missing some. My husband didn’t realize they were already opened (why would he?) I called the store and the person that answered said just bring it back and trade it in and that would be fine but he just got back and walked from the other side of town…talk about inconvenience: (BOO to your store

What can you say? It's a grocery store. It's clean, it has nice staff, it's got self checkout as all stores seem to have now. Lots of options. Their foreign foods aisle is particularly well stocked. I prefer to go here over Sobeys for the price. It's a good grocery store.

Well they took out pharmacy and made more room. I think it is a lot better now. Store was clean.

It's interesting out of all the food bases I've ever been to this one is absolutely amazing. I find that there's more food there more different types of brands. The store is well looked after you wouldn't even know that there was employees there everything is perfectly in order always well stocked fast takeout service it's just like no other Food Basics I've ever been and I've been to a lot and that's the reason why I give a five star and I don't give up five stars too easily

Meats are fresh. Some places seem to keep meat for a long time before giving it out for purchase.

The Basics is kept pretty clean, some of the staff are super friendly and helpful, others are lazy and when you ask them a question it is like pulling teeth to get assistance. One of the bad things about Blenheim's Basics is there produce section it is one of the worst I have seen some of it I would not feed to a human let alone an animal. As far as pricing you just have to compare and shop for the deals.
