Always out of stock of pop l. It's ridiculous at this point if your always selling out then get more stock it's not that hard

Great pricing, and always has the necessities. Their planograms seem to be messy, likely to force you to wander the isles.

One time I was short on bags & one of them bought me a bag.
This place has heart.
Also - I've been to all BIG food stores in town, and the past 8/9 times I've priced my groceries elsewhere, and Food Basics always comes out on top as the best price & selection.
The organic/vegan selections are also improving. I searched all of Cambridge for Organic peppers, and Food Basics not only was one of only a couple that had them, but they were also the cheapest.

The pharmacist decided not to show up for work and now I can’t pick up my prescription or get the prescription itself and go somewhere else.

The self check out is one of the worst I've seen. Needed to get staff help 3 times for a 6 item trip.

Not all things priced.have to get price check on discounted labelled items which is annoying.

I went shopping today at 4: 30 pm with my 7 year old daughter. The cashier was unable to understand if I was paying with Debit Card or Visa for my groceries. I said specifically Visa and was holding it in my hand. Then, I had an employee named Madison tell me I needed to use a low tone and be diplomatic with the cashier. I asked her if there was a problem. Then another employee stepped in the "action " and seemed to be confrontational with me. She had white hair and maybe close to retirement. She told me she was " one and half ". I thought to myself of what? No idea on my part. She could have been 1 and 1 / 4 of what? Metric or Imperial Measurement.
I answered I am never coming back here. This employee said to me, " I hope so ". Bill De Blasio, the " imaginary six shooter manager " not wearing a "cowboy " suit also came into my proximity and asked me to leave and proceeded to follow me. I asked him if he was following me outside. He sort of nodded and then continued to make me feel as the uncomfortable. I have never had this happen to me before in Camridge after 59 years leving here. I feel embarrassed to say the least. I am a retired teacher at 66 and happily married. This demonstrates a need to have Metro Head Office look into this incident. My email is vellagiovanni @ yahoo.ca I do not any contact with this "manager " written or on the phone. He needs to know how to maintain a positive and non - confrontational in his store and do his job properly. This whole fiasco is unacceptable and no customer needs to be treated like that.

Clean, good selection and wider aisles than some small stores. This location also has a large selection of alcohol. Not a wine shop, but inside.

Not even looking for an above and beyond experience but no hi or hello. Staring at me as I was trying to make a grocery purchase, threw me my receipt.

Gotta train them basic manners.

Always great deals, sometimes it's hard to find flyer products, especially when they are "international". The produce are fresh for the most part. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Location is kinda bad when you want to get out of the parking lot, especially when there's lots of traffic.

Lazy employees. Going through self checkout. Guy says he can't be bothered to call someone for alcohol so tells me to get in a line. Very incompetent employees that work there.
