Not sure if Sunday is a picked over day but shelves were empty, Rotten produce and awful smell when entering store.

If you politely and quietly stand 5 minutes waiting for your cashier to finish their personal conversation and show manners and kindness to them despite that. Be prepared to have the cashier throw your groceries at you. Respect should go both ways. Don't waste your money here, Walmart is down the street and cheaper.

Pretty good store. Friendly staff. It is our go to grocery. Could be a bit cleaner. But overall we like the value and quality. Again the staff are great

Got lucky at the Lotto scratch, from them! Picked up some dinner, for my self tonight.

Have shopped here since it was an A&P Store, as a kid.

It's my go to, and probably always will as long as I live in the neighborhood.

Today's review is prompted by the lovely service I recieved from "Sam". I was looking for something that had an empty shelf, he answered my couple questions with professionalism, stopped what he was doing (stocking shelves) and went to the back, found what I was after.and filled the shelf where my item was before it was "sold out". After reluctantly shopping elsewhere a few times (fortinos, Sobeys) while coming home from work. I can safely say I'd never ever receive the treatment I got today at Food basics. Thank you!

When looking for prepared beef burger patties that were on sale. They were expecting more, but they had not received their delivery as of yet - by noon.
