First time shopper, at this location.
Clean bright store. Produce looks great. Staff is very friendly.
While this store is slightly out of my way, (I am in White Oaks) it will be my good to store. Worth the extra few minutes

Usually a go to place for me. Lots of good deals every week, and usually decent quality stuff. Shelves are usually stocked and organized Wednesday overnight to Thursday when the sales come on, so you get a chance to try fresh stuff, otherwise it may sell out or left with not the best produce. Location is convenient but a very busy area during rush hour, so may take you a while to get out. I’m always amazed at how many ready to make meals there are out there in grocery stores which I find crazy. It gets busy on weekends and big holidays like most places.

Great place. Except for the new manager, seems likely they have no consideration for their disabled/limited needs employees. This employee was struggling to stock the shelves…

Has everything you need except high end. Only 2 actual cash register operators when I was there

Everything you'd expect from a mid tear grocery store, clean efficient and very shoppable, no complaints at all, self check outs are great

They had rotting watermelons in there store for weeks and the smell was horrible, tried to complain to produce and he looked at them and said ya im not allowed to move it. We've gotten rotten food a few times there.
The one good thing though, when my bf and I had to be careful with what we spent putting a couple of things back, the owner told the cashier just to give it to us. We were very grateful.

Nice small clean store, lots of items for sale. Decently friendly staff, fair prices. Tons of outdoor parking. If you live in the area i’d recommend giving them a try but if you live far don’t bother as there are better options in my opinion.

This store is always so clean and tidy! Often as good or better than premium type grocery stores.

Great service at this location. I left an item at the checkout line and an employee ran out to the parking lot to give it to me. It made my day!

Absolutely you will find Great deals, Great prices, in stock and always fresh. Very neat, friendly Staff and very organized. Good location because Tim Hortons just 30 meters away.

One of the best Food Basics in the city. The layout, and the space to shop, makes for an easy shopping experience, especially through the pandemic. Can't say the same for the parking lot though.

Great prices, frequent here often. Doesn’t have too large of a vegan selection however, glad to see it slowly expanding!

EDITED: OCTOBER 28TH/21 WAS IN STORE SHOPPING AND ENJOYING MYSELF. I HAD LINDA AS A CASHIER. SHE GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP ME BAG GROCERIES. I 'M DISABLED. SHE MAKES MY DAY. SHE LOVES HER JOB.

Great renovations but lime walmart one has to work chequing yourself out with the groceries, not very amused about working after my normal work.

Nicely renovated grocery store. Good wine and beer selection. Produce are of an excellent quality even on a Sunday morning. It's now my favourite one stop grocery store. Beer, wine and groceries.

Great grocery store. It's clean and organized. Prices are always correct. Prices are excellent and there's always a ton of sales going on. They have a good variety, although not as much selection as a "high end" grocery. Lots of ethnic foods, etc. Staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. There's a guy working the cash - he's always friendly and chatting up the customers. He's got a wild laugh, you'll know him when you hear it.

Since they renovated their store its really nice and easier to find things right away with having a pharmacy right at the front of the store

The renovation is terrific. Less cluttered and so much cleaner and brighter. Well done! And as always the staff are terrific.

They've done some renovations and changed the store layout. It's much better than it used to be. It's definitely not a Loblaw's but it's a decent place. The food is always fresh.

Have tried numerous other stores since Covid started. This has become my go to store. Well laid out, excellent variety and prices of products. Recently renovated. Most of all, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service from all. Give yourselves a pat on the back!

Too many people not keeping distance. Stock carts in the Isle makes it even harder to shop. Produce was good. Nice quality no complaints on that.

First time in the Store, good layout, has all goods any supermarket would have and the added benefit of beer and wine! Also I was assisted by courteous staff at the self checkout. A good experience overall!

Great staff like Ken Lucier in produce and James the cashier. If the cashiers don’t have anyone after you they will normally help bag your groceries.

This location recently went through a total renovation. I love the new layout and the bigger variety of merchandise available. Prices are still low as well. Very clean with friendly and professional employees.

Brightly lit and very clean and tidy. Says they are doing renovations, but did not see any going on. I was delighted to be handed a sanitized cart as I entered. Fresh produce was the first thing in the doors. Most of the external walls are either frozen foods and/or Milk and cooler products. They even had lassi in different flavours! A little more challenging in using the aisles as most people were not noticing the floors and directions on the floor. Lots of lines on the floor for check out and physical distancing. Great to see cashier use hand sanitizer in between each customer. Sadly, there does not seem to have any distancing in between customers when bagging your own groceries. I did not see any cleaning of the scanner or the tap machine. The cashier started into the next order well before we were done bagging. I do understand that the store needs to process as much as they can and with speed, but in pandemic times, with lockdown. Waiting 1-2 mins to finish would go a long way in customer service and repeat busines, that show that they care about their customers not just the bottom dollar.

Large aisles and very spacious. Not too sure I totally like the new renovations of the checkouts. But dispite all that I do like the new layout.

Love it every thing looks new @ nice @clean but I can't fine anything when I came in the store.
I need a map to fine want im looking for.

Shopped here over 5years. I do prefer No Frills for veggies, as I do find mould often at this location.
Other than that, clean store and friendly staff:).
Now renovating. Self checkout available!

I think food basics is exactly what it is called. Basic necessities. Has what i was looking for at a fair price. Clean store and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this store.

Listed on sale now stock came earlier, staff telling sold out liers, 2 times I came no stock received

Great store, great selection, clean and spacious. All staff wearing masks, plenty of room to distance from other customers.

Good place to get groceries. I wish they have a bit cheaper prices on vegetables and fruits like some of his competitors.

One of the best food basics I've been to, always clean and the staff are the best. Always a friendly face and ready to help with anything. I'm pretty picky and I always go there.

Dirty and smells like rotting food when you walk in. I was fine before going in but was very nauseous by the time I left 10 min later.

The prices are definitely cheaper.but in the current pandemic they are not promoting anything regarding social distancing.
Get in, get out. As quick as possible.

I only shop here because my wife won't shop at a Loblaw affiliated store. Store is dirty and is usually out of the products I go to buy, that's assuming they had them to begin with. Produce is horrible and it seems that management just doesn't care to compete with other chains. Try harder and give me a reason to stop shopping elsewhere!

The staff directed me to what I needed.

My cashier was cheerful and provided me with a second bag as she noticed my first one was ripped.

I went grocery shopping at this store yesterday at 4: 30pm, there was no line up and people were all allowed inside the store.it was more packed than before COVID-19 began. No lines ups, no security guard. (Carts were being wiped down) but NO ONE maintained their distance.young teens were inside as a group shopping. It was very crowded, uncomfortable and uneasy considering we are going through a pandemic.

I don't normally shop here but was in the area. I was very impressed by the services they are offering during this covid19 pandemic. As soon as I came in a staff member let me know there was a row of carts she had already sanitized and offered me one! I have not seen this service at any other grocery store I have been to. Lots of lines open at checkout and protection in place for their staff. What great service during such a difficult time. I plan on shopping here more often now.

Definitely low on food.no beef or chicken.no toilet paper or kleenex, no frozen vegetables/fruit.very limited dry pasta. But they were moving people through the lines quickly and no crowding.

Large food basics store. Well laid out and easy to shop. Nice variety of cheese and sliced meat. Lots of produce as well.

Prices are good. Only 4 cashier's working at 5pm today and the lines were 8 people deep. Took longer to checkout than to go through the store.

I love your food too sometimes is has low prices but my parents usually buy things that are in special I enjoy observing various types of foods and people much like good foods!? ️

Great prices, excellent produce, has almost anything you might need. Has some specialty/ethnic foods.

I like this store compared to the other food basics' in London. Great produce presentation and supply. Prices are good. The meat selection is wanting though.

Usually overstocked in items so always alot of volume parking is simple and the store has wide aisles so much easier

Open late, well lit and well labeled. Everything was easy to locate. Free carts! No fumbling for a loonie! So nice!

Produce is always terrible and/or rotten. Prices are far to high and they don't price match for some odd reason. Would have given 5 starts if they did.

It is my favourite place for groceries all food fresh and affordable. Friendly staff always available when need it.

Paper advertisement stated ground beef "or" pork for $3/lb. When I got to the food basic establishment on 509 commissioners west, they did not honour their advertisement as the night shift supervisor stated, "Our meat department manager is not available on nights, it is what it is. " What was on sale for $3/lb was another completely different item: ground beef "and" pork. I have previously purchased ground pork cheaper at another grocer prior to making my stop at this food basics for their "sale ground beef. " Hoping to make a blend of pork and beef burgers; Now I'll have to enjoy a pork burger instead of a beef burger for the week. Thanks @foodbasics, I wonder what the legalities are towards falsifying advertisement are?
