This has become a usual place for me. Being close to my house is the main reason, but the owners are very friendly and they recommend you dishes based on your craving. Every dish I ever had from this place was worth the money

Visited this place for the first time and it's probably also my last. Food quality is terrible. Ordered veal biryani, it was tasteless and felt like I was eating 3- days old stuff. The beef haleem hardly had any meat, you might as well just call it vege haleem.

Just stick to your usual, Foodtime or Silverspoon!

I enjoy the convenience of their nutrious frozen, tasty home cooked style meals with no additives, preservatives or hormones, ready to put in the oven anytime! Friendy, efficient meal advisors also!

I took a look on reviews. Then, decided to order Paya and when I got it, it was amzing, so good, tasty, enough spicy. Loved and enjoyed it.

Food is not fresh. I ordered chicken Korma and matter paneer. I threw everything in the garbage. Korma had zero flavor, vegetables were all dried out ie peas. Would not order here again. I have been here a few times years ago and food was edible but there are so many much better quality restaurants, will not go back.

This place is amazing the most authentic pakistani food. I'm shook to see the rating is not above 4.5. They charge very little for their amazing food. Their beryanis are on point their Nan their chicken and etc. People don't know what they have until you travel elsewhere and remember how good of pakistani place this little cozy family restaurant offers. Please share the love and support this delicious place

Stay away from this rip-off storefront business. $8 for less than 1/2 cup of Chana Masala, that was super greasy (GEET). When I asked if there was any rice or Nan included, her response was "there's more than enough for you there! " Ask them to show you the size of the thimble portion that they sell for outrageous prices. Total SCAM

My wife just bought a biryani. The yogurt sauce they provided was spoiled, she called and informed them. They were responding it could be so sour you are assuming wrong. We threwed away food, worst of all they didn't even bother to admit their mistake.

My wife is pregnant, we will never go back here.

Ordered Chicken briyani thru Uber and this is one of the worst briyani I ever had. Too much tamarind and couldn't eat more than 3 spoon. Ordered 2 for me and my friend both got wasted.

This place used to be great, until I started getting old and dry reheated food. Also there is a lady in the back that can't use the debit machine so she will only take cash. Stop being so cheap with food and labor. Will never come back. Now I go to FOOD TIME AT THICKSON AND DRYDEN. FRESH FOOD SAME PRICE.

Was driving by this place and decided to check it out. I got 2 chicken kabab rolls. There were okay and decent with ketchup and iceberg lettuce pieces inside. The nan was tasty though with a chewy texture The lady was super nice and got my order in 10 minutes as I was running a bit late.

It also smelled like crushed tomatoes in cans inside. (No fresh food or delicious smell)

First and last experience at this place.
Ordered Butter chicken, chicken biryani and lamb biryani.
Butter chicken was just about ok. But the biryanis were more like a pulavs with food color. The lamb pieces were hard and chewy. Just tasteless I would say.
No real motivation to go back there, especially with other restaurants in the vicinity.

Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter chicken, Garlic Naan. The Naan are not like the photos in the other reviews, much larger. Chicken Tikka Masala is very tasty, a good consistency and overall worth the price, they used green peppers instead of tomatoes but it works. Butter Chicken is mild and sweet for those who enjoy less spices, tastes like standard Butter chicken, can't go wrong. They gave Biriyani instead of plain rice as a side, I did not try it as I did not order it, was expecting plain rice with the combo. Took off 1 star as the packaging is very poor, especially during the Pandemic where all restaurants we've had take out from had proper containers easily can be sanitized whereas this restaurant had cling wrap around Styrofoam containers which is messy and took awhile to unwrap, empty into another container and throw out without a mess. Overall it's not as bad as the other reviews, I took a chance and it did the job. Pricing is worth the taste and portions as other places charge way more.

Good food especially the platter and the breakfast platter.lady is nice but gives saas from pakistani drama vibes.really sassy in good way

The fish masala with raita and naan is very good, my favourite desi food of all time — absolutely incredible dish, only wish it was a little more affordable.

Dont waste your money! Big NO! Its absolutely NOT fresh. Bought Chicken biryani and its was clear as soon as we opened it, the rice was tasteless, just colored, the chicken flaky, as if just heated and served.

The Samsosa chat, literally served with chickpeas and sweet yoghurt. VERY Disappointed.

Don't let other reviews discourage you from trying this gem of a restaurant. It is my go-to for takeout in Whitby. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and the prices are beyond fair. I highly recommend it.

Serving what seems to be mainly Pakistani takeout but websearch lists as Indian. Veg samosas are OK but pricey compared to the best of the best veg samosa from Surti, Scarborough. Being a nehari maker myself, was disappointed with my order for one costing $9 + tx. When asked if it were good for 2 people, was told its a 16 Oz container and includes 2 chunks of meat. Chunks of meat is right! Instead of traditional shank, got 2 chunks of tenderized (of what seemed like eye of round) stringy cuts. Gravy was definitely not nehari, a more quorma-kunna blend. This item has a prep time of 15 minutes. Anyhow, if you're a real nehari eater, this is not for you.

This site is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place.when I I need a delicious lunchon, this place comes straightaway to my mind.extremely good and diverse food and a large list of dishes.helpful staff members, and great ambience. Also, the expence is reasonable. I suggest this spot with no hesitation.

I wish the food was consistent. Sometimes they add a garnish some times they don't. Im changing my rating from 3 stars to 1 star because I placed an order for pickup today and when I got there the cashier had no mask on. So told her that it made me uncomfortable and she laughed at me. Im calling the health department. Clean up your act. I eat here on a regular basis but never again after today. Filthy restaurant. Shame.

One of the worst place I have ever tried. The biriyani was the dish that should never be ordered from this place.

Yes like everyone said lady at the cashier was not friendly but I thought she is like that because of covid. I tried to speak with her and she turned okay later but yes I wish she is more friendly with customers. First time we ordered samosas, chicken wings, Jalebi and coconut gulab janum. Oh we loved everything! So we went back next day and ordered chicken biryani, naan, chicken tikka masala and lamb chops. They tasted alright. However, we really loved wings and other items that we had the first day.

Expensive price, the biryani not packed solid. By the time you reach home it is half the container. Never take the kabob wrap. The kabob is as thick as a pen. Nan bread is half cooked.

From the moment you enter this restaurant the stuff gives you an excellent feeling. Very friendly crew, it is a happy place to pass time with your friends or with your date.yummy meals, specialist chief cook and stuff, good price and generous service. Warmly recommended.

The food is very good but as per the earlier reviews the lady has attitude problems she seems to be nice maybe it’s the work stress or something that is just bothering her Or she is like this And I felt like she Is the owner

Reading all the negative comments in the review is a bit concerning. My experience so far is pretty good. I was been there thrice- everytime I called ahead for order to go. I ordered jalebi the first time, chicken seeing kabab the second time, and more recently ordered the chicken seeing kabab, kabab roll, and chicken tikka kabab. The manage are the best I have eaten at the price point in Toronto/GTA.

Firstly, I managed my expectations. This is not an Indian restaurant - it's a Pakistani restaurant. Indian restaurants don't write Indian, Pakistani food. They simply write Indian food. They also have more traditional names like Charminar etc. Pakistani restaurants write Pakistani, Indian cuisine and tend to have more western names like Food village, there is a similar sounded place recently opened at Thickson & Dryden called Food Time.

Indian and Pakistani food is similar but not the same. The blend of spices, the treatment and texture is similar but different. Case in point the Naan at Food village is a trademark Pakistani/Afghani Naan closely resembles Khumeri roti. Indian Naan Stenberg different.

Secondly, the lady while not overtly friendly was not rude to me. My interactions were very transactional. "Is my order ready", " how much do I owe"? And I was in and out in 3 mins. I thought she was professional.

I will visit them again for their kababs but I know I'll not like their curries. Indian v Pakistani food- so I won't order it from them.

I always do my review based on three things.

Service, food and environment. With Covid around I also consider more about the safety and less about the environment as I cannot sit any anyways.

Food first, food is ok here nothing that will make you go back. What disappoints me about the place is the price and the food combination. I wish the food was better and the price was cheaper.

Service is “ok” specially for take out try to talk to the customer.

She wasn’t wearing a mask when I went in so zero for that.

Lady at counter give mean bad ugly looks and say sarcastic thank you after horrible customer service. Almsot half comolaints are about her. Reason she is still working is cuz she is owner daughter, good luck with that lol

VERY RUDE cashier lady. The WORST attitude ever. Food price was wrong from their own website so we mentioned it, and here comes big attitude. She can just say they didn’t update their website without being aggressive but she doesn’t know how to talk to people. At this point, the food taste doesn’t matter, this rude person ruins everything no matter what. She is always there for the past few visits so I won’t go back anymore unless she’s gone. This restaurant could make more money if she wasn’t there. Shame lol

Ordered for Pickup. The quality of the food must be improved! I ordered chaat paapdi, it was very cold they didn't even heat and prepare it well. It was so dry and cold! Took it home hoping to have some warm dinner rather it tasted like it came out of the fridge. I called to complain and it was the same lady who had served me, she was extremely impolite and rude. She told me “Yea ok we served you what you want I don’t know how to make you understand that we make it in the morning, put it in the fridge and serve it when customers come. ” Like I didn’t pay for cold food and she showed a lot of attitude and told me there was absolutely nothing she could do about it. None of it was fresh, the paapdi in the chaat paapdi was chewy and not crispy, the whole meal tasted stale. She told me that’s how they serve customers and then hung up on me. Very displeased. Wouldn’t recommend. The food is delicious but the lady at the counter is just disgusting. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. When I saw the chaat papas I it looked good but tasted horrible! Appearances are always deceptive! I will come here once they improve their quality & taste of the food

Worst front desk lady, No humbleness to customers, cheating people for money. Service very bad and rude lady.she thinks giving food for free yells for all. Bad quality of food.
Hello there are many restaurants if this attitude continues it will be hard and will loose customers.if there was zero star I would have given.

They have always had bad service as I've are here many many times over the years. Today was the last day that I eat here. Their promoting things on the website that they do not honor and show disregard.

This place is a hit or miss. I have tried this place a few times, their biryani (if made fresh on the day) is really good and extremely cheap.

Their beef kabob combo is really worth it, you get salad, naan and 2 seekh kabobs.

Customer service is really poor. Sadly, the cashier lady seems pretty grumpy and has an attitude. I politely asked her a question about one item on the menu and she replied with “What do you think? ”. If I knew the answer, I wouldn’t have asked.

The owner of this store needs to reflect that staff are providing distasteful customer service.

Food taste is fine not so good but customer service horrible and staff behavior specifically cashier lady so rude definitely I m not going again.

The absolute WORST customer experience I have ever had. I made an order using their website menu and came in store to pick it up to find out I was over charged $30. I called the store to let them know about the mistake and I wanted them to fix it and they told me that it is not a mistake and this is what my order was. I told her the site states that my order is supposed to be $19.95 but was charged $30 and then my other order was supposed to be $27.95 but I was charged $50. She tried to tell me that their website menu prices and “regular” prices are different which makes zero sense? And started making stuff up about the sizes they offer. I asked for a refund and to fix my order and she told me she can’t do that and instead will give me 6 samosas. I told her that is not what I want I want my order to be fixed and to be refunded the price and finally after 5 phone calls and in store interactions she took back the food (which doesn’t happen elsewhere, in my experience when the business makes a mistake they just give the customer the order free of charge and just charge them for what they originally ordered) and gave me the right order finally and gave me the refund and left out one of the items I had ordered (naan Bread) which I still wanted. This place is so unprofessional and a scam. I have been ordering from here for many years and they have now lost my business. If I could give 0 stars I would! So disappointed.

I tried out this place for it's Veggie Biryani & Chicken Biryani and I was so pleasantly surprised! Both tasted delicious, and the price point was pretty great as well. I highly recommend checking it out for their weekday specials.

Food was tasty and service was good but without any smile. Their price is superb if you take out but, the quality of packaging might have a severe threat to your stomach.in this picture, we dont know If we have eaten the lid’s plastic with the gravy but, the gravy was really good. We, the people from Subcontinent are known for greeting and guest services but here the lady was so emotion-less but I will revisit the place and gracefully giving four stars for the price, portion and most importantly taste, We had our chicken very fresh and breads are also soft for chewing. Overall, worthy but come on, please improve to stick around this highly competitive market.unlike to the main course, Samosas are so bad here.cold and fake.

Rude customer services the lady is very rude she will tell u off. Lol I told her there was hair in my biryani and she said “ how do I know if it’s not ur hair” I love eating there but it’s always a hit or miss with them.

Flavour isn't the greatest, prices are great. Dishes here are extra oily and not much flavour. The butter chicken is really sweet. It left me with a very sluggish feeling after eating. The chicken biryani was very good though.
