Only shop here when things are on sale or I'm desperate the prices are higher than Sobeys just down the hill and there owned by the same people

I went to return a pkg of meat pies I bought last week. I froze them and didn't eat them til last night. The pie I cooked was bad. With the price of groceries I returned the remaining5 pies. They were store brand. The cashier asked for my receipt.i replied I don't keep my grocery receipts. You need it to get a refund.so lesson learned and a warning to all.
Keep your grocery receipts!

I absolutely love foodland the prices are great and amazing service I highly recommend foodland

I don't know what's wrong with this location, but I've bought several refrigerated items over the years that obviously haven't been stored properly when I open them.

Edit: I made the mistake of buying another bag of milk. Unsurprisingly at this point, the milk had already curdled. Never again.

I love shopping at this store! The staff are always friendly and the meat prices are great!

Ignorant judgmental and finger pointers not all the staff.some or lots of the male staff tho very inappropriate

I used to love this store but in the last two yrs they have lost all my respect.the employees seem to have lost all the "customer is right" attitude.the things that made this store.are long gone

Great quality, but man is it expensive! Worked at another full service grocery store for 20 years and people would say it was expensive. Cheap compared to Foodland!

Good grocery store. Good hours 6am-11pm everyday minus holidays. But very expensive. Usually always kind workers. Have not met a rude one yet i don't believe. Only low stars because of the prices

Hours are 24/7 food prices are extremely high. Food displays are perfect as well as variety. Store is always clean with friendly staff

It can be a little pricey their. It's a 24 hour grocery store, I've been told that their prices are a bit higher too help with it being a 24 hour open grocery store.

Smaller grocery store, easy to navigate, not usually busy. Fantastic selection of products, produce is usually pretty good.

They have such unique vegan items that are difficult to find! I hope they continue to add more for the plant based students.

Just went through foodland this past night!
Had an amazing experience, Alex the cashier was amazing! Though our paper bag broke, Alex did warn us of the fragility of the bag prior to us leaving the store. Thanks Alex we appreciated the warning as the bag did in fact break! Xoxo stay safe during this pandemic! Best wishes!

Variety and with Deli and bakery prepared foods are their strong point. Food prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores but they have late closing which is nice when you work all day

The young chunky guy who works cash has some attitude. I couldn't hear what he was saying because the masks and I have hearing issues so he started giving me attitude because I asked him to repeat himself

Lots of selection.its a bit overpriced.but its across the street from were I live so very convenient.

Overall the cost of the food and meats the products are overcharged buying groceries at your store it's like paying for a mortgage I don't want you to sound bad about what I'm saying I'm just saying that's what it's like sincerely yours Ronald Rogers

Staff are super nice, owner is kind and is around often. The store is huge, a big selection and good price for high quality items.

Good store.but all Foodlands are pretty expensive. Staff have always been friendly I think. If it wasnt so costly i would rate it 5. But its too expensive.

First time there, found everything I needed. Store was not busy when I went, didn't have to ask people to stay out of my personal space like at some other stores. Clean, well laid out. Staff was helpful and fast. Thank you, I will be back.

Produce is typically fresh, good selection in the aisles. The store shines in its deli and bakery, tons of quality items and great friendly deli staff.

Any Thoroldite can tell you that Foodland is the heart of our community. Friendly staff, great selection, and in a great location. I get all my groceries here!

Been going to Foodland for many years. Food is fresh, store is clean and accessible. A small town grocery store with lots of choices, great staff, check out ppl are very nice.

I enjoy the staff and quality of the food I buy here. Really the only issue is they are a bit more expensive on certain things than I enjoy paying and their selection seems to have decreased over the last few years. But overall an excellent place and their specials are extremely competitive

Store is okay but I find bread products do not last long at all. Often have bought stuff only to find mold the next day. Ok variety.

The staff is rather friendly and each of them are conscientious of cleanliness and general safety during the covid pandemic. They are always diligent in maintaining a clean belt at the checkout.
My only issue is trying to figure out where to stand in line during busy times. Sometimes customers are to get into lines for each check-out and other times we are supposed to be in one line for all check-outs. People are often confused and cut in line, frustrating those now behind them. To avoid this I try to go shopping outside of peak times.

Prices are outrageous but I tell you its actually worth it the service is unbelievable the employees are so nice its small and calmer experience especially during covid going to Walmart has my adrenaline rushing this place is like a day at the spa compared to them

Great lil shopping area in the heart of Thorold. Very clean, friendly staff and everything was easy to find. Ideal for all the grocery basics and then some!

I have to say what a wonderful experience I had at the Foodland store in Thorold. So much so that I can't stop talking about it to people. First of all, it was my first time in a very long time going to that store since I do not live in Thorold. The customer experience that I received from 3 different employees truly blew my mind. First of all, the nice gentleman in the vegetable department helped me locate the product I was looking for was very nice, kind and helpful. Then I was looking for another item and after not being able to locate it, I asked a nice lady in the deli department where it was and she very kindly went and got it for me and brought it to me at the deli department. WOW WOW WOW. The checkout experience was just as fantastic with very friendly service. To boot this was on Christmas Eve, so a very busy day and add Covid into the mix, I can't believe the amazing experience I had. Thank you for making my Christmas just a little more special and you all kept me smiling in the store. Also, the amazing product selection and cleanliness of the store is above par. Being Italian, I loved seeing the amazing European product selection that I haven't seen in a very long time brought back wonderful memories of my childhood. So thank you staff at Foodland for giving me a wonderful client experience and I will definitely be back very soon.

Princes ARE WAY TO HIGH my rent high enough and during pandemic this store is just taking every last penny just to eat. I've noticed corner stores selling certain items cheaper its madness

Favourite place to go! A grocery store that brings back some feelings of normal life aha they don’t discriminate and will serve those with or without masks. They’ve made me a dedicated customer for that! Thanks Foodland!

Used to be IGA. Been going there for 40 years now and even though it expanded, it still has that small town quaint feel to it. The staff are excellent by the way. It is open 24 hours too, which is so very convenient for me.

Foodland is ok, there's food there as one might expect, but the quality isn't always the best when compared to other big chain grocery stores.

The lady with the weird name working the cash register at 1900 on the 25th of February had very bad hygiene.

Why is everything so much more expensive at this store? Also whats with the attitude with everyone in the store?

Who ever is packing the meats needs to be retrained. Blood everywhere. I picked up a roast and it was dripping out of the bottom. My hands were covered. All of the beef and chicken were poorly wrapped. No sanitizers available, only tissue. I had to triple wrap it in plastic. The smell coming out of the coolers was very unpleasant. There was evidence of the liquids dripping on to the floor and down throughout the coolers. I had no way to wash my hands! So the blood and bacteria could have been spread throughout the store. Definitely a health and safety concern. Wish I took a photo

A life saver store as this is open 24 hours. Every time i go to this store i go to their pastry department where there is the fresh smell of freshly baked bread and desserts. Totally love their eatery department too

Everything was easy to find. Prices were reasonable and the cashier was pleasant. I plan on going there again soon!

Service was friendly and a clean store but prices are high, who TF wants to spend $7+ on a hungry man when you can get a Mcdonalds meal for that? Just saying.
