I was looking for a home-based hair salon close to home & I am so glad I found Sima! I booked highlights for my teenage daughter but upon consultation with Sima in person, she suggested the balayage instead (which was more expensive). However, she wasn’t pushy at all and she genuinely wanted my daughter to be happy with the results. She also suggested a trim as the hair was a bit messy at the ends. I was asked to return 2 hours later and when I arrived I waited for another 15 minutes for the blowdrying & styling.

Overall my daughter said she had a wonderful experience and would come back. She had come in for golden caramel highlights & ended up leaving with an ash blonde balayage mixed in with some highlights. She really likes her new look! Sima is pleasant and her salon setup is very professional. I just might go to her for my future haircuts & balayage even though I have been going to my stylist for over a decade! Proximity, quality & value would be the reasons.

Sima was amazing from start to finish. We had messaged regarding what I wanted prior to the appointment. I have never done anything to my hair before so I was very nervous and almost didn't end up going. She reassured me and was very attentive the entire time. I ended up having a caramel Balayage done.

Had a consultation booked, very bad communication. Had to ask repeatedly for the address and they gave me the wrong one. Went to neighbours house, and then waited outside for them to answer my email asking which house. Finally left. Still haven’t heard back.

Absolutely love coming to Sima, she was so understanding and did not stop until she helped me achieve the colour I wanted. Loved getting my hair done by will definitely come in the future!

Went to get my eyebrows done. Was crunched for time couldn’t go to my regular lady at herbal beauty. Wast of time and 5 bucks there is no shape I could have done this myself.

Sima did a phenomenal job fixing my hair. The previous salon made my hair a nasty brassy yellow and Sima was able to turn it into a beautiful balayage. She was patient with me and spent her time getting the exact colour I wanted. She told me what was realistically possible with my hair to avoid damage. I went to FY Salon to get balayage after reading the good reviews here. Before going there I called Sima and she patiently explained the process to me. I went for a consultation as well and she tested my hair first to show me what colour I could go with and if I liked it. I thought that was so incredibly nice of her. Most places will just say they can do what you want and if you don't like it oh well too bad! I then booked an appointment to get it done after I saw the results:) I must say I have ALOT of hair and it's not easy to work with my hair. Sima was so patient. She took her time and made sure I am happy with the results. I will definitely recommend her and will go back for more! As others also mentioned, she is also an amazing person and really takes pride in her work. Thank you Sima, I found my favourite hair dresser in Markham:)

We searched around the area for a hair and make up stylist for our wedding. We looked and found alot of positive review from Forever Young and made our decision to go.

First, the salon was unorganized in a garage convert into a salon. We brought our own photo for make up as referrance. The make up did match or come nowhere close to the photo we provided of an Asian model and my wife is Asian as well. The make up was way too dark instead of the bright white we were looking for to blend with her skin tone. Sima did not put on enough make up base so it left her cheek pores too visible.

The hair was a complete disaster. We brought our own heat protection to avoid any damage to the hair. The hair dresser Sima said it was unnecessary and went ahead to do the hair. My wife's hair went through intensive heat from the blow dryer and brush to add volume. But in fact, the brush left her over dry hair very frizzy and brittle. The curls did not hold up very well and the whole job was poorly done.

After all the make up and hair, my wife had to redo her make up at home to brighten the dark tone and fix her hair to make more curls.

Days later, my wife's hair is left dried and breaks off way too easily. We have done the protein treatment and added essential hair oils but doesn't recover the obuse she endure.

Please DO NOT trust the positive reviews because I truly believe they are false and forge by someone else to seem like a trusted salon. The price was low and backed up with a low experience. Very disappointed and would never recommend anyone to go.

Sima is so amazing and works with whatever look you want. She goes above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied. I highly recommend her salon.
