Fork and Plate

I wanted to like this place. I really did. In fact I went with my dad when I was younger and remember it being much better but we came this past Saturday night and were so disappointed. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff are really friendly. The food is just incredibly mediocre and the portions are very small for the price you actually pay. I got the 1 pc fish and chips and asked for poutine instead. It wasn’t poutine.it was mozzarella melted over gravy and fries. And the fries barely even covered a quarter of the plate. The piece of fish couldn’t have been any bigger than the size of a small chicken strip. I didn’t have the heart to tell anyone in person how I felt about the food because they excitedly told us about the candy cane dessert special but I honestly don’t think we will ever be back. Unless portion sizes or prices change. I really did expect better. Thank you anyway for the professional and friendly experience.

We had a large teen hockey team plus their parents, around 30 people, and they accommodated us last minute. We were so impressed with their kindness, very friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and affordable, staff were helpful and came around often to check on us (and our coffee levels!). Great family restaurant, food was much much better than in most small diners. Large portions, could tell it was all very fresh and good quality. Highly recommend!

Love the service and great food.amazing staff working there very friendly and always likes to chat. Like watching the chipmunks and squirrels outside by window getting their peanuts. LoL.

Food was great, prices are very fair, the squirrel/bird viewing window is really great. Slanted floor is a little concerning, but overall a really good experience.

The owner and staff are all very friendly and welcoming. This restaurant is a must try if you have never been. Very affordable and the food is delicious, especially the beef melt.celebrated my birthday and had a delicious brownie dessert!

Went for the first time with my dad. The cook recognized him and cooked him a perfect steak. The burger was delicious. The service was amazing.

We ordered escargot and calamari for appetizer, French onion soup and chili later. Liver, ribs and roast beef in cast iron. People…everything was delicious and stuff with service perfect. I can recommend this place.
The waitress Dani is familiar with recipes of the food she served. She served the food in order not everything at once. Hot and right on time.

Cute family place. We enjoyed french onion soup. Steak and hamburger was very good too. French fries excellent. Friendly and fast service.

We stumbled across this place while visiting Innisfil. Really nice staff. Some people in our group had dietary restrictions so there were almost no options for them - but our lovely server informed us of the Sunday special which was a pumpkin gnocchi (could make it without bacon). It was soooo good! Also had a side greek salad - amazing portion sizes. If we didn’t have those options I don’t think I would have been as happy so I’m thrilled they offered that!

Very nice! Finer dining! Very nice variety! Great staff and you get to meet the owners! Home town atmosphere with big city food options!

This is what Canada needs more family run Restaurants. Wonderful quaint place. Excellent food and service. Skip the chain restaurants and try here

Cozy atmosphere.

Amazing breakfast and by far the best dessert in town!
The only downside was one of our waitresses. Very rude, she made our dining experience a very awkward. She looked very annoyed at my children and group. Otherwise, I would eat there again and again.

This place is a quiet, small, (probably) family owned restaurant!

They have the BEST EVER hollandaise sauce I've EVER had! Will definitely be going back here! The servers were also all very attentive and friendly.
UPDATE Feb. 2022: still the best freakin' hollandaise!

Such a lovely, comfortable place to eat. Owner often visits your table to personally to see to your satisfaction. Food is great with large portions and a definite repeat visit will be inevitable. It is also my go to breakfast place when meeting friends. They even expanded their patio to accommodate COVID mandates. KUDOS and thanks. See you again soon!

We spent NYE here as a family, with our 3 yr old and had a lovely dinner! The lobster pasta was astounding, my husband's stuffed chicken amazing, and my kids pasta delicious! The food is just spectacular, and so is the service. They went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great night and we always felt taken care of. Every time we are near, we'll visit! What a great restaurant!

Awesome breakfast, great service, and fantastic background music. Honestly, I think the owner just loves serving his community. Ssssh - he doesnt charge enough for the value and quality delivered. That is telling that the owners love what they do and that great hospitality still exists!

Just had the most wonderful experience at Fork & Plate with our two year old daughter. Without question, this is the BEST place in Innisfil for family dining. You’ll be seeing us again soon! Thanks for all the little extra things you did to make our night special:)

If you blink you'll miss it driving but slam the breaks and turn in because this is amazying place to stop and grab dinner. Great food, great atmosphere, great service and a wonderful owner that makes you feel like your a long lost friend. Go and enjoy.

I ordered food from here for the first time lastnight and everything was absolutely perfect!
I had the cheezy spud wheels, deep fried pickles, garlic loaf, caesar salad and the beef melt and it was all very delicious.now I can't wait to try their steak next

I have been here a few times, never a disappointment, food staff, even the cook comes out with a friendly and greeting. They make you feel at home and comfortable, food has always been great I would recommend a favorite but cant decide.

Went for our first time and it was awesome.
Girls are so nice, owner.came and chatted which was so refeshing.
The food was wonderful, liver & onions dinner and.steak dinner.
Plate was full.
The cookie &ice cream dessert was fantastic.
I will be back for sure!

Wow this place is so great! First time going there today and the service was fantastic they are quick and offer so many great options with very tasty food. I will definitely be a regular here.

The Fork & plate is a marvelous family restaurant where Innisfil residents meet & greet and enjoy very delicious cuisine. There's always a fine chocolate or other dessert to end the meal. We heard that it was going to be open for a hearty breakfast soon as well. Great food, and great ambience. Laurel Woodrow
