We attended the night time candle light tour with a soldier in period costume. The fee was $19 per person. We had a great time, excellent history presentation by a very witty & entertaining presenter. Tour was mainly outdoors but some inside stops. Tour took about 75 minutes. We definitely recommend. There were a few others in period costume the added to the authenticity.

Had a candle night tour, the guide was amazing and so were the actors. My partner and I learned many new facts about the fort and life in the area over the many decades. We will be going back 100%

Went to art by the river there. Plan to go back for the night tours as well. Definitely an interesting location with great views of the water

An interesting place to visit, where history is brought to life by characters dressed in the clothing of the times. We particularly enjoyed looking at the blacksmiths tools and seeing how metal buttons were made. There are also excellent guides who explained how the soldiers lived in very cramped conditions.

Nice small fort. The musket and Cannon demonstrations were neat and very loud. I loved that everyone was dressed up. Oh and they have parks canada red chairs.

Great stop on our visit to Canada. Just outside of Windsor, ON near Boblo Island. The history of the fort and its relation to the War of 1812 and overall historical significance were cool. Not enough emphasis is placed on its part in the Abolishinist Movement. They have a night time story telling attraction that tells the story but not enough.

My friend and I went on the "Candlelight Tour" and we had an enjoyable and entertaining visit. It's had to make history fun but Sven our tour guide was charming and informative. We learned and we laughed! Our red coated guide told us tales by candlelight along a sunset riverbank and creepy candlelit asylum. Job well done!

A charming piece of local history. Nicest group of staff I have ever dealt with. They each had information to share about the names fought and the development of the area. There was not a lot to do there, but it was well worth going thru and speaking to the parks staff. Any history buffs would love it.

Stopped by on our way back to the US and really enjoyed it. I'm surprised there is only one other review (as of this writing), because it seems like a great place to visit.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Many of the re-enactors are high school students and do a great job. It was fun (and a bit amusing) to watch them struggle with putting up tents and doing their drills in the yard. We surprised the guys who were doing the cooking in the back, and one quickly hid the more "modern" condiments for the chicken they were going to cook (lunch, anyone?).

There is a lot of information shared in the museum and the displays are well-done.

I highly recommend a visit.

Went on Canada Day so it was free and costumed guides provided a lot of extra information and the facilities that still exist are very interesting and stocked to look as if it was actually the 19th century. Views of the river are quite nice and worth a stroll
