Went to Fortinos at Lawrence Square and asked a worker to help me she was so pleasant. She took me to where I would find it, but unfortunately, it wasn't there She went to another area, but it was sold out, but the service I got from this worker Rosa was exceptional. She suggested something else, and I'm telling you I left the store feeling on the mountain top because of the service I got. She went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed. Thank you, Rosa, for that great service.
Great overall experience. Staff are friendly, very well organized, and easy to find as it's alphabetical. Quality and Vast Selection. Fresh food options, including pizza, chicken, and fixings with a sushi station and bakery.
This location is a good one they have a lot of variety of stuff from fresh fish to fresh meat but some times not too much on veggies maybe it depends with the delivery but in total i like to shop here
Meh. Too many people and not enough checkouts. Self checkout partially working but only like 4 cashiers for 50 people in line. Line went all the way to the back and if you’ve been here, it’s a LONG store.
Prepared Salads are great and at great prices. There prepared food are also tasty and the line to pay is fast. They have some of the same staff for more than a decade now and they are knowledgeable and kind.
I enjoyed shopping here when it was first renovated, but lately it seems to not be as clean. The prices are inflated compared to other stores in the area, and the quality isn't really any better. There's a single lineup for all the cashiers now, and it often goes all the way to the back of the store. It clogs up the whole bakery aisle, and makes it difficult to get to the products you need.
Has alot of organic foods for reasonable prices and a nice set up compared to the average grocery store. Great place if you want more organic products.
Massive grocery store with nice baked goods and a large variety. There also is a large selection of kosher goods. Wear a light jacket as the store is kept quite cool.
Frankly this is the most expensive grocery store in the entire area, I cannot understand why it's so pricey? The Grocery is middling, the meat unimpressive and there is absolutely nothing particularly special to make a person go out of there way a destination. Just 1 example it's mid July and almost every other grocery store has cherries advertised at 2.99 or 3.99 whereas this fortinos cherries were $5.99.pure insanity!
Staff was very rude at the end of the night not letting me in With plenty of time to spare before closing. Flashed her ancient cordless phone at me with the incorrect time vs my iPhone time. Although I understand that frustration as a fellow customer service rep, that is completely unacceptable and will not be returning.
Fortinos is located at the BACK lot of this mall. I made the mistake of parking at the front and running around the building on a rainy day. I came here specifically for their pizza as I heard they're really good and I wasn't disappointed! The arugula and brie is something different to try that's a sweet pizza. Mmm! They have my favorite brand of dry pasta here too at a good price. La Molisana.
Amazing selection. I always find shapes of pasta that I can't find in other regular stores. The desserts are amazing, but my big time favourite is the prosciutto and arugula pizza, with balsamic vinegar sauce on top.
This has been my go to grocery store for several years now. They completed renovation s recently & the store looks great. The expanded bakery has lots if new options and the grab & go food (flatbreads, sandwiches, soup, fried chicken.) looks great. They have also expanded the number of aisles first kosher food (although not being Jewish I can't discuss the selection or quality). The fruit & veg is fresh as well.
Very good Supermarket recently renovated and stocked with everything you could want. The produce section is great, especially the organic area. There is an abundance of choices for all kinds of dry and canned goods. Big Fish, Deli and Meat stations, including a bakery area and take out food section. Isles are easy to browse through for stuff. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Great store. Great customer service. One point of criticism though is that unfortunately, at this location, people who don't use PC Express are constantly occupying the designated PC Express spots. I know that is very difficult to deter and/or to police, but it is still an issue with this location, especially for those using PC Express.
Has large selection of produce. Often much of fridge selection is wilting and molding but staff is always happy to grab new stock upon request. Thanks produce staff. Much appreciated
Very poor experience. Today while waiting to enter the store, I was stuck in the line-up to enter. That's not my issue, waiting for 15 mins is not bad. However, there were people with walkers and other mobility issues who had to stand and wait. They should have had priority to go first. I let one individual go ahead of me, but everyone seemed to look upset at this. Little to no holiday spirit.
The place is only for the Rich and Famous. To buy a pack of Waffles one has to visit thrice. The managers are always hiding on a weekday. For a showoff how a grocery store works in this country- absolutely worth visiting!
While this store has a section of good items with good prices, it's not maintaining Public Health guidelines. At my last two visits, I saw many customers NOT wearing masks. When I mentioned this to several employees they looked at me sheepishly and didn't do anything. I even called the manager after I left the store and he was blase. He just told me to call a bylaw officer, which I have since done. This store is conveniently located for me to shop at, but I won't be going back during this pandemic unless they make major changes.
Spacious, renovated layout, helpful staff, prices clearly marked, good variety of products (including Kosher sections) and occasionally great specials! Checkout is so well organized because of covid19 - like at the airport one long line so it's very fair. There's even someone respectfully directing you to one of the many available cashiers! Definitely going back. ️ A+
This Fortino's at Lawrence Square Mall on Allen Road and Lawrence location is amazingly very organized and has huge area and many grocery choices. Vegetables are relatively fresh. They also have meat and fish and of course dairy products. And there is a huge choices of different kinds of bread. It is beautifully renovated and the mall itself has a huge parking lot. There are parking spaces for physically challenged customers. It is quite far from my Jane and Lawrence address but I certainly will come to this branch for vital groceries. They also have different kinds of healthy nuts to munch while watching your favorite TV shows. It's worth it to come to this Fortino's at Lawrence Square Mall.
It's Amazing how they revamped the whole front. On top of that they now a pastry corner, and a sushi corner too. Not only that but they also have in the Ice cream section all flavors you were either looking for in other places, or flavors you didn't even know you wanted. It's a Jewel close to home for me, it has everything and anything and it's honestly worth the price. Especially so for the Ice cream section
This is normally my favourite store in the area, but if you prefer to shop where people are wearing masks (2020), I don't recommend here. My last visit included 4 staff members (one was a manager!) not wearing a mask, and more than a handful of customers being let in without masks.: (Stay safe!
Great service, helpful staff at the cake decorating services. They helped me choose a proper sized cake for my daughter's 1st birthday, and made it look great.
